Rooms in need of some attention

Nice location and the building itself is lovely.

I had problems with my shower, was moved to another room which also had a non-functioning shower. No ventilation or window in the bathroom meaning there was constant condensation in both the bathroom and bedroom. The was also a strong smell of mould.

Could be such a better experience.

Reasonable price for the room compared to other properties in Yeovil. Also, 'Lisa' was very friendly and professional in helping me get access to the building, following a mess-up by Gateway Accommodation.

Needs more plug sockets. Mould and cracks in the bathroom. The bed frame needs changing as it kept viciously attacking my shins EVERYTIME I had to side shuffle past it. It's a brute. The door code and locker code is hidden in a novel-sized email. Finally, no steam iron??? What the flop?

Once In it was good

Smart relaxing decor with some limited cooking facilities. Spacious room, comfortable bed.

The hassle of obtaing the code for access when not on wifi, It was difficult to understand. Once you have paid and signed in, just text the code! Lifts had 'Staff Use Only' on them and were hard to find. Great place for the younger 'in crowd' but hard for old fogies to work out.

Great accommodation, very comfortable, need to sort the pipes out in the room for a restful night

Great location, great facilities, great that there was a safe in the room.

Disturbed by pipes/water all night - real shame as everything else was ideal for my stay.

10/10 would stay again

Love the fact it was a coded entry so didn’t really need to talk to anyone. The room was really nice and the bed was comfy.

It was a wet room shower meaning after someone had a shower the whole floor was wet around the toilet and sink.

Didn’t stay. Might be nice. But not a hotel.

In the end I didn’t stay in this property. It was advertised as a hotel with pay on arrival. In reality it is like an unattended AirBnB. As soon as I confirmed my stay I was contacted by a system asking for payment (which I did). Then I was asked for an scan of my passport or driver’s licence. I am not prepared to give this (I run a business that provides Cybersecurity). Despite paying it was still demanded. So, in the end I decided to stay in a proper hotel that doesn’t ask for unnecessary information. It might be a nice place but I will never know. I think it would be fair to state this is not an attended hotel in the description.

Overnight stay in Yeovil

Parking is a must for me . Easy to park , off road parking , in a safe environment. Apartment style accommodation was perfect for me , with the room having both a fridge and microwave , both of which I used. In addition to my room having a TV , there are two communal rooms on the ground floor with larger TVs and comfy chairs and tables.

All good . No complaints.

Absolutely fantastic

The room was brilliantly designed, looked amazing and bed super comfortable

Attitude of the staff, asked them to replace the sheets and I was handed the sheets and told to do it myself as the room wasn’t on her list. I understand that she may have been on a time frame and was unable to do it at that particular time but didn’t expect the response I was given. Especially when I had stripped the bed and did everything I could to make sure it was as easy and quick as possible.

Awkward, if you stay more than 2 nights I don’t recommend it.

There was no room cleaning/refreshing facility, which means: no room cleaning (and emptying the bins), no new clean towels, no refilling of facilities like toilet paper, coffee, no clean cups, etc Very awkward!

Would not stay again!

The rooms are decorated nicely

The bed is terrible! It feels like they’ve used very old beds in a new hotel. The room says it has a kitchenette but upon arrival realised there is actually no sink in the kitchen so all dishes have to be washed in the bathroom sink. The bathroom sink is so shallow, I could barely fit a coffee cup in. They don’t clean the rooms during the stay so it’s quite gross having to wash your face in the same sink you wash dishes in. The WiFi was horrendous for the first 24 hours and the communication was quite rude and blaming me until the owner called me, said there was an issue with signal to my room and it was better after that. I had to use loads of my own data and when asked for a discount on the first night, I was rudely refused.

Very disappointed

The way it is contactless is very impersonal, and the fact that you have to sign into a portal to retrieve info and codes and upload personal information felt insecure. The television wouldn’t work and wasn’t able to fixed until after we checked out the following day. The water from the shower made an absolute mess on the floor and we had to use our towels to mop up all the excess water, so not able to use towels in the morning as they were saturated.

Nice large room.

Not sure why system directs me to secondary gateway to pay and was uncomfortable uploading person details (license) to that system No water in the morning for a shower Annoyed getting so many text and emails pre and post check in

excellent hotel.

Having never been to Yeovil before, turns out the hotel was quite near the town centre and several major supermarkets. Plenty of parking space outside the hotel and as for the hotel itself, from the outside you maybe just don't realise how good this place is going to be. The booked room was excellent, bed very comfy, room facilities excellent. Fridge, microwave, coffee machine in addition to the usual tea/coffee and kettle that most hotels usually provide. Excellent bathroom. Overall very much better than i had thought and expected. IF i am ever in Yeovil again, this is where i would be staying. The room was booked by myself for myself and my girlfriend who in the end due to work could not make it, so sent her a video of the room/bathroom and she was amazed how good it was and was gutted she could not stay there as planned. And it was cheaper than the Premier Inn which is a chain i often use.

Cant think of anything i didnt like about this hotel.

plenty of parking access to room easy with given code clean and comfortable

the wet room rather than a proper bathroom insufficient sockets, we had to stand the coffee maker on the windowsill and unplug the microwave the bed end was wooden and was too close to the fridge cupboard so we had to be very careful not to injure our legs. the room design could be improved. the TV didn't work

Would highly recommend this stunning hotel, will definitely be back again to stay longer!
