Welcome to this charming two bedroom bungalow located in close proximity to the historic town of Bury St Edmunds. Nestled in a peaceful and picturesque setting, this spacious abode offers a comfortable and relaxed holiday, with the helpful owners nearby.
The bungalow boasts a generous amount of space, both indoors and outdoors, perfect for individuals or a small family seeking tranquillity and modern convenience. It comprises two well-proportioned bedrooms, each providing a peaceful retreat after a long day. Both bedrooms benefit from large windows that allow natural light to fill the space, creating a serene atmosphere. The master bedroom offers plenty of room for a kingsize bed, while the second bedroom is equally spacious. Completing the interior is a modern bathroom, here, you can indulge in a relaxing bath or rejuvenating shower, ensuring a tranquil and refreshing start to your day. Outside, the property offers a private and expansive garden space, ideal for outdoor activities or simply unwinding in the fresh air. There is also a private tennis court that can be hired from the owners.
Situated close to Bury St Edmunds, residents of this bungalow enjoy easy access to a range of amenities, including shops, restaurants, and recreational facilities. The town itself is known for its rich history and cultural heritage, featuring stunning architecture, picturesque parks and the best way to discover all it has to offer is to do the Town Trail. No visit to Suffolk is complete without a day out to the stunning Suffolk coast. A trip to the traditional town of Southwold, home to Adnams brewery is the perfect way to spend a day with its independent shops and restaurants.
Close by is Aldeburgh where you will find the famous fish and chip shop, get there early as it is very popular. Jus a little bit further is Thorpeness, the small village of Thorpeness which is dominated by the Mere, is popular all year round and bears witness to the village’s fantastical past. In 1910 Stuart Ogilvie bought the hamlet and set to transform it into a private fantasy holiday village. Today the village is just how Ogilvie envisaged it with pretty mock Tudor houses. You can hire boats and take a trip round the picturesque six thousand acre Mere to see the islands and inlets all named by J M Barrie the author of Peter Pan where you will see statues of Wendy and Peter Pan. Every august a regatta on the Mere is held which culminates in a torch lit parade of boats and fireworks.
