Prima hostel voor Nestival, anders niet

Fijn breed bed, kluisjes op de kamer aanwezig, dichtbij Nest hostel. Prima hostel voor verblijf tijdens Nestival, anders lekker dichterbij het dorp boeken.

WiFi is slecht, hostel ligt in de jungle (lopen naar het dorp is minimaal 30 min door het bos, dus geen goed pad), waterdruk valt af en toe weg, eten is duur bij het hostel, 7 min lopen verwijdert van het strand, verder niks te doen op het eiland.

Great location, clean rooms and lovely staff.

The rooms are cleans and the beds were huge and really comfy, they each have a black out curtain which goes all the way across. The location is perfect, only a 5 minute walk from Nest hostel and other bars but far enough away that you can get a good night sleep. The staff are so lovely, they go above and beyond for you, super friendly. Food is nice and cheap!

No negatives!

nice stay

dortoirs et douches clean, avec des grands lits et bien situé ! je recommande :)

le proprio est super sympa mais les volontaires pourraient être un peu mieux briefé. Quand on a demandé des infos sur les activités et les bus ils ne savaient pas nous répondre et après ils nous ont donné une information erronée qui nous a coûté deux billets de ferry (28$) pas très grave dans l’ensemble mais s’ils étaient mieux briefés ça ne serait pas arrivé :)

Leuk hostel, fijn verblijf gehad!

Fijne sfeer, mooie locatie in de jungle. Iets verder van het strand maar leuk wandelingetje. Super lieve mensen. Heerlijk bed.

Un super endroit avec des personnes superbes

Les lits étaient confortables et très grands ! Proche de la plage à 5 min de marche. Le personnel était juste génial, avenant et aidant. J’ai adoré mon séjour.

Of the 40+ hostels I've stayed in, Koh Rong Lagoon is EASILY in my top 3.

Amazing new hostel run by a local family. The beds are big and super comfortable, and they provide you with full-privacy curtains (feels like your little own room), outlets, light, a towel, and even a body-pillow(!!) in addition to the regular head pillow. The rooms have AC + big lockers, the bathrooms and showers are spacious and STOCKED with shampoo + body wash. The outdoor area is nice and open with some very comfy hammocks to lounge around in. Laundry service and motorbike rentals are available as well. From the hostel, it’s a short 5-min walk through the jungle to the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen. It's also 5-min to Funky Beach and 7min for Nest (15min for Nest Jungle). You can even go at night since Bunna (hostel owner) set up lights for the path for the trails leading to the beach from the hostel. PRIME LOCATION for both going out and staying in. It is right in between both Funky Beach and Nestival parties, and since the hostel is set behind the lagoon it’s nice and quiet if you want to stay in and relax. Walkable to Koh Touch (main town) through the jungle (20min). A previous review said it’s the best hostel in Cambodia, and I have to agree. For only being a couple of months old, they really have their things in order and I cannot believe the value. Please be sure to stick around and chat with the local staff If you see them - not only are they very caring and loving, but they literally built this place from the ground up and it's interesting to hear their stories. TIPS for future travelers: Remember that you are visiting an island that is not extremely developed, and the hostel itself is a part of the jungle. Have reasonable expectations like dirt/uneven roads, terrain (I do NOT recommend walking barefoot in the jungle lol), and resources (electricity/water can sometimes cut out - not all the time, but it happens). Please communicate with Dolla at reception if you ever need something urgently (I.e. laundry in fewer than 2 days).

I have no complaints.

Erg leuke tijd gehad!

We werden meteen warm ontvangen door het personeel waardoor we ons meteen erg op ons gemak voelde. Het is ook een vrij klein hostel, wat echt veel doet voor de sfeer! Daarnaast zijn er echt meer dan voldoende wcs en douches en kun je de hele dag bij de bar chillen of 3 minuten lopen naar het strand. Bij de bar kun je ook erg lekker eten bestellen! Ik en een vriendin van me hebben echt een leuke tijd gehad hier. Een goede combinatie tussen ontspanning en nieuwe mensen ontmoeten!

Excellent. Best place on the island.

I loved it here - cannot fault it. Amazing staff, comfy dorms, so many toilets and showers. Great location - short well lit walk through the jungle to Nest and restaurants. We partied at Nest most nights and it was so nice to come back to Koh Rong Lagoon each night as it’s clean, comfy and quiet. I rented a scooter through the hostel too which was great. Also if you head towards Nest but turn left, there’s a great restaurant called White Pearl with free sunbeds.

Amazing, friendly staff

I really enjoyed my stay at Koh Rong Lagoon. The staff is very friendly, authentic and helping with every question I had. The beds are big and very comfortable, with two pillows. Lockers are provided and the bathrooms are very clean. The hostel is in a beautiful surrounding with a lot of nature. And its run by Khmer people, which I really like. They know everything about the island and can provide a lot of information about Cambodia, I had good conversations and felt very welcome.

Todo es increíble! El personal super simpatico, las habitaciones bien, los baños bien, la zona del camping super acogedora! Si buscas estar en medio de la naturaleza y a 2min de playa es tu lugar! La gente que trabaja en el hostal hacen una comida estupenda y siempre hay buen ambiente, como en casa!

Can’t go wrong here!

The owner dolla is an amazing guy. So friendly and kind. Also, the place just opened up, and I really saw that they are trying to improve the place and expand. Had a lovely experience and extended a couple of times. :)

The water smelled kind of “metallic” - but that was the case at other hostels as well, so maybe an island issue. Also, no food, but there is a delicious restaurant 4 mins by foot at the beach.

Hostel a talla humana que acaba de abrir

El personal es genial. Él me ayudó a encontrar una moto taxi para ir hasta la zona de fiesta ya que pasé un mal momento andando yo sola en la jungla después del atardecer. Él fue muy amable ya que me ayudó con la mochila en todo momento. Es un hostel a talla humana y simple. La localización está bien si quieres fiesta en la zona Nast ya que hay un camino que te lleva en 5 minutos y no escuchas a penas la música.

Es un hostel que acaba de abrir por una persona local (él es encantador) por lo que están empezando y reconozco que queda trabajo por hacer, iluminación y señalización del camino y algunos detalles más que hablé con él y en los que ya está trabajando. Desde el puerto andando por la playa y el bosque llegas en 10-15 minutos aproximadamente.

The place only opened a few weeks ago hence why there are so little reviews - Dollar and his team are fantastic and mana

The beds are doubles and have an extra pillow which is great. The AC works perfectly and there are plenty of showers and toilets. The location means it provides the best of both worlds, if you want to party, Nest and etc are close by, however it is far enough away that you can chill and actually get some sleep if you’d prefer.

Could potentially have a bigger food menu but there are plenty of restaurants close by.

Top notch place in the backpacker area of the island!

Great stay! I booked 2 nigts and stayed 2 weeks and still it was hard to leave. The rooms are clean and the beds were the most comfortable ive had this trip. Strong AC and bed curtains for privacy. Best area of the island, nearby you have undeveloped beach areas for chill, good restaurants and big party hostels, without being disturbed by the music at night. Totally recommend!

Cannot think of anything, i loved my stay here!

Hier 4 nachten geweest en beviel goed, zeker als je bedenkt dat ze net geopend zijn.

Super aardige hosteleigenaar! Hostel is ongeveer een halve maand geleden geopend en hij doet erg z’n best om gasten op hun gemak te stellen. Ze zijn ondertussen nog bezig om alles nog beter te maken, maar voor nu had ik alles wat ik nodig had! Matrassen zijn goed en alles is schoon. Locatie is op 3 minuten lopen vanaf nest (er is een verkort en verlicht pad door de jungle heen). Dit hostel is zeker een aanrader als je wel af en toe naar nest wil, maar niet tot 3 uur in de nacht naast de keiharde muziek wil liggen 😉.

Misschien iets meer opties qua eten, maar daar werken ze nog aan als t goed is. Is trouwens niet zo erg, want heel dichtbij heb je een prachtig eilandje met twee restaurantjes.

Would highly recommend

The hostel opened just recently so everything is new and clean. Exactly like in the pictures! The beds have a nightlight and a power outlet which was very nice. However the best thing about my stay was the owners! They were so lovely, kind and very helpful! I really had a blast, they really made the experience there unforgettable!
