About this lodge
Launch your next adventure with family and friends from this sprawling luxury log lodge on a gated island secluded in a pine forest near Yellowstone and Teton National Parks.
The Lodge consists of two wings with ample large group gathering areas and several smaller conversation areas as well to meet the needs of all those in your group. The wings are connected by a large slate-floored entry that leads from the entry deck out onto an soaring timber-gabled back deck. The designer chef's kitchen features Wolf, Subzero and Bosch appliances and granite by the yard. A 12-foot dining table comfortably seats fourteen in the spacious dining room.
KITCHEN:
The gourmet open kitchen has space for multiple cooks to work together, featuring roughly fifty feet of counter space available for food preparation. This makes preparing meals a fun group activity. For large groups, it also would work to have a professional chef come onsite to prepare your meals. Extensive granite surfaces and custom wood cabinets make this one of the most pleasant spaces in the lodge. Appliances include a six-burner Wolf stove with griddle, a four-burner Bosch induction cook-top, dual Viking ovens, two Bosch dishwashers, an under counter Bosch microwave, and ample cookware, utensils, and plates. A Sub-Zero refrigerator and a separate Sub-Zero freezer can accommodate food for many days for your group. A additional beverage refrigerator is located in the main sitting area and is convenient for entertaining.
DINING:
A twelve-foot dining table provides comfortable dining for fourteen in the spacious dining room.
LIVING SPACES:
In the tradition of Rocky Mountain lodges, the focal point of the living space is the large wood stove with river rock chimney, around which are ringed leather couches, chairs, and a large cushioned window seat that together accommodate your group comfortably . This lodge space includes a children’s nook where children can play close to the watchful eye of their parents.
A secondary gathering area in the quiet Bedroom Wing features a majestic stone fireplace, cozy seating area, and picture windows, all illuminated by a stately antler chandelier.
BEDROOMS:
Master Suite A: The quietest, and perhaps the most elegant, space in the lodge, the second-story master suite boasts a cathedral ceiling, a private balcony outdoor space, a large sitting room, king adjustable bed and a spa-like bathroom with tumbled marble flooring, a large walk-in shower with two shower heads, and a claw-foot tub.
Master Suite B and C: Enjoy the comfort of heavily soundproofed bedroom/bathroom suites in the same quiet wing as master suite A. These ground-level family suites each include a bedroom with king bed, private bathroom with bathtub and shower, and a children’s bedroom with two beds: either two twins or a log bunk bed with a twin-over-full bed. A pack 'n play is available. Each suite has access to its own deck.
Pullman Berth: Always a favorite, the Pullman Berth is a queen bed built into the wall of the bedroom wing's small loft. It is a remarkably cozy nook to use as a unique bedroom or simply as a great get-away to read a book.
Two Lodge bedrooms: These two spacious bedrooms in the main lodge each have a stone gas fireplace. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other a king bed and a twin. The bedrooms share a half bath and have access to a full bath with shower on the floor below.
ACTIVITY SPACE:
Above the Lodge's seating area is a massive loft area with a 120-inch projection screen, foosball, and board games: a great space for kids to spread out and play or watch a movie.
OUTDOOR SPACE:
A beautiful deck with comfortable chairs offers a vantage point from which to enjoy the meadow of wildflowers or snowshoe-worthy powder (seasonally). The deck is framed by massive logs supporting the cathedral gable over the deck. Illuminated on a warm summer night, it is a welcoming resting place for those who have spent the day hiking, boating, or on other adventures: a perfect place for sitting out in the long summer evenings and reading or enjoying the company of friends.
In front of the deck is a rustic amphitheater ringed by log benches, perfect for group activities and games. The deck area at the top of the steps can be used as a stage, using the amphitheater as audience seating. The area in front of the deck is also a great place to use the propane barbecue – a perfect way to prepare food in the gentle summer evenings.
INTERNET:
There is high-speed internet in both the Lodge and Bedroom wings. There is also a Verizon mini-tower so that Verizon cellphones work well within the Lodge wing.
NEARBY ATTRACTIONS:
Stepping off the property, one can immediately cross-country ski, walk, run, four wheel, or snowmobile on the Island or on paths carved through the forest on the mainland. The reservoir on which the island sits is a popular place for kayaking, boating, and jet skiing. Nearby fly-fishing draws anglers from across the country and around the world. There is a boat ramp available to launch boats onto the lake.
Some of the most popular day-trips include seeing the geysers of Yellowstone National Park, hiking in Harriman State Park or in the Grand Teton National Park, exploring the ghost town of Virginia City or the Lewis and Clark Caverns, floating down the South Fork or the Buffalo River, downhill skiing at Big Sky or Grand Targhee, cross-country skiing on the Island or at Harriman State Park, or snowmobiling on many miles of nearby trails
PARKING:
There is parking for up to 6 vehicles on site.
.
FOR LARGER GROUPS:
There is the opportunity to rent the adjacent four-bedroom cabin to turn this luxury lodge into a compound to accommodate larger groups.

Beautiful cabin! Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Wonderful kitchen with a great gas cooktop. All the cooks in the family loved it! Highly recommend it for big family vacations.
Great communication with the owner! It gets 5 stars!

Family vacation of 20 people, the cabin fit our needs as we had hoped. Cabin is very well stocked dishes, pots, and pans utensils everything that you could need. Location is close to the water and our kids used their paddle boards every day. Island Park is a beautiful area and we would definitely consider using this cabin again.

The house is great but the roads are terrible! We were there to ride motorcycles but couldn’t get our bikes down the ruddy, sloshy roads. Had to visit Yellowstone via trucks.

Great family home with room to let the kids play and the adults to talk and play games. I loved that there were essentially 2 parts to the house. Everything about the place was top notch.

This home was amazing. This was a family gathering as a kind of memorial week for my late husband. We had more than enough room for 11 people. The house is equipped with every thing you can imagine you will need. We so enjoyed this house and would highly recommend it to others!

Our family of 11stayed at this wonderful well stocked, well planned spatious house. The kitchen was huge and accommodated 2 families cooking meals at the same time (one vegetarian and 1 with no food restrictions). Beds were comfortable, house was exceptionally clean and there were so many conversation areas that we were able to catch up either in small groups or with the entire family. I just can't say enough good things about our stay at this amazing house.
Mike was very quick to respond to questions about the house or the area. I/we would definitely recommend this house and hope to return to it in the future. Thank you!

We loved having basic items stocked, as the grocery stores were quite a distance away. The configuration of the bedrooms was well thought out as families could stay together. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay immensely.

This house had more than enough room for multiple families. Was super clean and decorated impeccably. Located in Island Park where many outdoor activities were available in the neighborhood. Tons of room, space, and activities for kids especially in the game room loft. Will hopefully be returning soon.

We had several cabins on the island for a family reunion! The cabin was perfect for our family! We had several kids with small children and not being on the lake was actually helpful to us!
Amazing gathering areas!! Kitchen was Perfect! Big table for everyone! Several places to sit and talk! Great Place! Would definitely stay again!
4.0 / 5.0
Great place for a big family with lots of thoughtful elements, lots of public spaces for separate groups ot activities, and the house is very well stocked. Caveats: grocery stores are not convenient so plan accordingly. If you're using it as a base for Yellowstone, it's a 40 minute drive. Do your grocery shopping there because there is no legitimate grocery store in the immediate area. There are a few convenience stores in the area but their selections are slim and they close early (6pm). The grill is essentially unusable. The main gathering room is huge and includes a large kitchen and dining area and big living room...but the whole area is heated only by a woodburning stove...you will get good at working it and splitting wood. And if it's winter I don't think you'll be able to get the whole area comfortably warm. Overall though, a great home...just do your research on the area depending on what you're traveling there for! One last thing, the roads into the property are gravel and dirt. We had a lot of rain and they got very rough and potholes! If you have a sports car you're not going to want to drive it to this house.

We were looking for a home big enough to accommodate 16 including 2 babies to celebrate my husband’s 65th birthday. Found the perfect home!! 🙏🙏. Fantastic humongous kitchen Enough bedrooms/baths for all of us. We had so much fun hanging out together in the living room playing various games. Host has thought of everything. Lots of pots and pans in the kitchen, all the necessities in the bathrooms are available. Lots of private seating places around the house.
Host was very nice. Answering all of our questions patiently. Responded right away to my texts.
I highly recommend this lovely home. 👍👍
