A spacious property with stunning views and great location, but let down by poor maintenance and cleanliness.
Sea Soul Accommodation boasts a stunning location with breathtaking sunsets, making it a perfect retreat. The property is spacious and comfortably accommodated our group of 8, with room to spare. Its proximity to Cape Town’s top attractions made sightseeing easy and convenient, which was a major plus.
Unfortunately, the property is not well-maintained. Cleanliness was a significant issue and it felt like the house wasn’t being properly looked after. With better care and attention to detail, this place could truly shine.

Holiday from Hell
We had the unfortunate luck to book this venue. It left our holiday in tatters and even had a knock on effect going back to work. We are currently escalating the dismal experience and if you want to avoid a horrible experience and weeks of pain and frustration after…AVOID AVOID AVOID. 1- We tried to check in early as our transport was early. I sent several massages to the owner who never bothered to reply. My brother got in touch with the person who was supposed to check us in and she said they were not aware of our arrival and that there were still guests at the premisses. She was to call the owner to find out was going on. 2-On check in the bottom door “rotted” would not open, patio door would not open and blinds were broken. 3-There was a vase with dead flowers in kitchen, the outside fire place was full of trash, the pool was dirty and had half a cleaning net in it. In both the showers there were old pieces of soap, the main one was black and dirty with grime all over it. The previous guests toiletries were still everywhere. In the closets was old broken hangers, rotten wooden something, old wires from some kind of electrical, some discarded laundry, food labels stuck to wall and the list goes on. The floors were so dirty we had to wear shoes in the house. 4-Our bed was dirty, the pillows had burn marks and smudges on them, there was other peoples hair in the bed, and the pull out bunk had a blanket on it that seemed to be never have been washed. It was disgusting. 5-The gate was broken and jumped from its railings every time we opened or closed it, same goes for the sliding doors on top floor.
6-At one point the decking broke and ripped my brother’s foot open. We tried to call the emergency numbers on the wall of the kitchen but none of them worked. We managed to get hold of an emergency medic but they were all the way in Sea Point. By this time my brother had taken my leather-man and pulled off the last bit of skin that was not lacerated…blood everywhere. We then tried to self medicate as infection in a dirty place like this will set in under an hour…just to find that the little med bag they had was 10 years out of date!!!!! We drove to Kommetjie two towns over to go borrow some disinfectant. 7-This was reported to the POC and they simply said they will pay medical cost…if we could find someone to help. The kicker was they never sent anyone to come and fix the decking and we covered it with a chair. On closer inspection we saw that the deck had been damaged a few times and was simply cheaply repaired with a few screws. 8- My elderly mother was there and she has very bad mobility, I told the owner they were lucky it was not her that fell through the deck as she would have been badly injured. By the time we left it was still broken. 9-The rest of our trip we could not go walking anywhere, that was Table Mountain out, Franchoek wine out, any form of sight seeing on foot OUT. We went to a safari after cape town and again we could not do any of the activities as my brother had no mobility with the injury. 10-My brother had to take off work and lose pay as he could not wear shoes and he works on his feet. 11-I tried to speak to the owner but they are adamant that it was clean(lie) that there was no issue on check in(lie) and that they think we don’t deserve a refund because the gave a product as advertised(lie). I posted some pictures so you can judge yourself. It is expensive for what you get and then you have to deal with what we are dealing with now. Its been a constant fight since then and its destroyed our entire holiday. Horrible experience with dishon
