Nestled in an established neighbourhood, you will find yourself surrounded by a grove of trees, and a community bordering Thetis Lake Park, full of trails, and water access that is walking distance. Just outside this peaceful cul-de-sac styled neighbourhood you are a 5 minute drive away from the prestigious Bear Mountain PGA hosted golf course, trails up to Mount Finlayson and many other scenic trails. At the bottom of our neighbourhood (2 minute drive) are several small plazas that offer all the amenities you might need including, 2 grocery stores, wine and liquor store, a variety of retail outlets, pharmacies, gas station and a Costco about 5 minutes away.
Downtown Victoria is 15 minutes away with a direct route on the TransCanada highway which is about 5 minutes drive.
Included in 900 sq. ft. is a large living room with a designated office space, a separate luxurious bedroom, a large kitchen with a separate dining area, and refurbished bathroom.
The property is surrounded by large Arbutus, Laurel and Fir trees, with plenty of wildlife, including a variety of songbirds, hummingbirds, owls, ravens, rabbits, and deer. We offer a bistro style table on an open back patio and a covered porch in front of the house to enjoy the buzz of the hummingbirds and a morning coffee. You may even spy a hawk or eagle.
The interior of the suite is newly renovated and has an antique yet chic feel to it with many unique vintage items adorning the space. The upholstered furnishings are newly refurbished offering an updated look but still hold a feeling of history and intrigue.
The spacious kitchen is well equipped for your creative cooking needs and offers both a round clawfoot dining table and island style table for extra counter space. We offer a Keurig coffee maker, a french press with local roasted coffee to brew and a large selection of teas.
When time is spent indoors there are board and card games, a 55" smart tv, books and even an easel with art supplies for creative drawing (please leave sketchbook and only take your drawings).
Enjoy a spacious living room with a dedicated work/study area outfitted with a lovely leather topped antique English desk and a barrister styled office chair. For rest and relaxation we offer two new la-z-boys that are more than nap worthy or to curl up with a book. Thermostat is behind ocean painting beside tv cabinet.
In the bedroom you will find an elegant queen sized Eastlake bed frame and a brand new Sealy Posturepedic mattress to offer you a very comfortable and restful sleep along with luxurious bedding.
The bathroom is bright and ventilated with the tub offering a multi-spray style shower and boutique style towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers.
The walk to the entrance follows the driveway to the front of the house, then across the front yard to the left towards the back of house where the entrance is located. It is well lit at night and is gravel around the sides of the house. There is a spot light at the back door entrance which can be left on for your safety and convenience. For safety reasons please keep away from other areas of the property as the ground may be uneven.
We offer our guest suite as a comfortable stay for 2 guests but we will also consider a family of 4, as we have a new double sofa bed in the living room. We do not have special accommodations for babies or toddlers and our home is not child-proofed, so please keep that in mind when contacting us to make arrangements. Please me mindful of children and keep them supervised within the premises. When booking please notify me if there will be more than the 2 guest option in the listing. In your booking message please provide a little information about yourself, the reason for your visit, & the number of guests.
