About this villa rental
This Italian lake villa with magnificent private pool has breathtaking year round sun-drenched views over Lake Lugano. With magical tranquility, the property is within easy reach of Menaggio on Lake Como, larger nearby cities such as Milan and the northern ski fields of St Moritz and Madesimo.We have extraordinary views from the height of the property overlooking Lake Lugano, Italian side.
The property is very spacious with a large pool it’s deck, umbrella and lounge chairs.
There are three levels which can sleep 8 people.
There are two dining spaces, indoor and outdoor with an iconic stone table outdoors under a jasmine flower lined archway.
With all the modern amenities combined with a rustic Italian villa makes this property a wonderful holiday home.
Garden level:
Hall accessed by a large patio shaded by an old wisteria
Cozy living room with fireplace, two comfortable sofas, satellite TV – opens to the garden
Studio with library, opens to the living room
Dining room with table for 8 and large window with panoramic lake view
Fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, stove (4 burners), oven, dishwasher and toaster
Half bathroom
First floor:
Terrace-solarium with lake view
2 double bedrooms
1 twin bedroom with access to one of the double bedrooms (best for children or a nanny)
2 bathrooms, one with shower and the other with tub and separate shower (and washing machine)
All of the bedrooms on this level have access to the terrace.
Second floor:
1 twin bedroom with lake view – each bed has an additional roll-out bed
Outdoor spaces
Lakeview garden
From the kitchen and dining room a door leads to the lake-view garden terrace which features a pretty jasmine-lined, vine-covered awning with alfresco dining area. With a spectacular and breathtaking backdrop, guests can enjoy memorable dinner parties in true Italian style!
Outdoor dining
Rhododendron-lined steps to the side of the house lead to a third informal dining area with a stone built BBQ and pizza oven. An alternative dining area is on the terrace level of the property, with an outdoor dining area and gazebo.
Outdoor spaces and terraces
The upper level is a large 100 square metre space with a 10 metre swimming pool and sun loungers. This area is ideal for children to run around and play.
This Como area Italian rustic holiday villa has extraordinary elevated terraces overlooking the pool area and lake views. These were established centuries ago and were originally used for growing grapes.
The terrace levels, dotted with wildflowers in the warmer months, afford unparalled views from sun loungers, the gazebo or a relaxing swing chair.
Pool
The 10 metre pool is open between May and October.
Parking and access
Convenient off-street parking is situated as guests approach the property from the road. Like many hillside properties in this region, the access road to property is very steep and narrow. We don't recommend you attempt to drive it if you have a big car / van, or if your car is not powerful. Would-be rally-car drivers will love it though. There is a carpark at the bottom of the hill, around a 10 minute walk up (or 5 down) to the property. There is also parking for 4 cars at the property.
