There were ants all over my room, and a variety of other bugs. I stayed one night and had to cancel the second night. I was really expecting more out of this stay because I love courtyard by Marriott! The price for one night was also insanely high…I traveled all through California and this was probably the most expensive hotel for the worst experience..

Overall, a helpful location and close to many shops and cafes. Struggled with the ability to use hotel wi-fi and that was a mess. This was a surprise since the hotel seems to cater to business travelers and didn't expect that problem. It seemed like a common problem that they deal with since staff had a variety of ways to troubleshoot. Air conditioner was broke in the fitness center so that was unavailable.

Great location next to shopping and Toppers Pizza was close by. We also found some food trucks near by that was a plus. The Hotel is clean and it was an easy check in.

Loved the location, very convenient to shopping by short drive. Parking lot had damage where we parked and was a tripping hazard. Jacuzzi and pool area were clean. King bed was old and uncomfortable. Room was pleasant. Very tight fit to get in and out of the bathroom as the door only had about 1 inch of clearance to the commode. The sight needs an upgrade. It is decently maintained, but is starting to show its age on the rusted fence hinges at the exterior gates. Lobby is updated, but didn't compensate for the lack luster in the room.

We were very disappointed in this property! Marriott has has always had a good reputation in our minds and we expected even more from their Bonvoy properties, sadly missed by a long shot. The reception clerk was the and that was about all! We had more of a positive interaction with the housekeeper when we asked to have towels replaced, she did that and emptied a trash can as well. The room decor is dated, our room could have used better cleaning. Dining was very limited and very expensive. We have stayed at other company’s properties in Oxnard in the past - less expensive, cleaner, better staffed and complimentary breakfast as well! It was near the family we were visiting - a positive, but the other places we have stayed were too! Definitely not worth th almost $700 we paid for two nights. Hopefully the City does not send someone around to look at the wiring!

When we got to the room they weren’t even done putting the bedding on so we were confused if they were dirty or not. The sliding door to the first floor was wide open and there was a huge mosquito eater bug that came in. the fridge was wide open for some reason too. When we told the front office they didn’t care about the fact that it was undone and just said that if it was dirty they can’t check us in and didn’t offer any explanation. they only had one other room to offer but if they didn’t have that we would have had to leave late at night it was already 11pm. And then at night we heard loud noises we thought were gunshots and scared us and it scared us more because the entire wall was a thin sliding glass door and the bar to close it was broken. We called the office and they said it might be fireworks but the timing on that was so bad.
