We love this iconic location. Rooms are fairly spacious and beds and linens are very comfortable.
Nice cocktails served at the Bolero bar upstairs.

Really happy with our stay! Comfortable bed, really nice walk in shower, quick service when we called the front desk or housekeeping. LOVED the happy hour of wine and hot apple cider. Highly recommended and we will be staying here again.

We made the reservation breakfast included. The price they got for the breakfast is absolutely so expensive since they limited us only with two eggs and one bagel in the restaurant. Even this menu is so simple, we waited around 40 minutes almost everyday. Never get breakfast from the hotel. Its not worth it!!

Room was ok, but closet is small with barely any drawers. No water kettle in the room.

I was assured that my room was "one ofnthr quietest" only to be assigned a room right across the elevator with a noisy in-suite HVAC and deep bass rumblings all night. Very disappointed as this is not the standard I've experienced at other Kimpton hotels in the past.

For the price- there is no coffee maker, robe, fridge, hand towels, or water bottles in the room. i asked if it could be brought up and they said they do not have a bellman. a few minutes later i heard a bellman carrying up something to a neighboring room. Wont stay agin

It was so easy to get to from the airport and I loved my room, especially the bathroom.

This is not a 4 star hotel. Simple things like lack of drinking water in the room or coffee is just absurd. They use the cheapest toilet paper possible, etc.
Terrible acoustics and lack of proper acoustical glazing on the exterior cause improper sound levels in the room while garbage is hauled away in the middle of the night from the alley next to the property.

This was a sort of strange hotel. There were a lot of long empty hallways getting to the check-in on the second floor. I traveled with a friend. I booked the room but made sure to provide her information for a smooth check-in. They ended up taking her credit card information for incidentals, which was fine, but then when she checked out earlier than I did they told her they could not split the bill between our two cards (both on file) and charged her full price. Then when I checked out they charged me full price as well. She called when we got home and spoke to a very nice female manager who got our bills sorted out. But throughout the stay the front desk staff seemed very clueless. There is a restaurant on site but no actual room service - it's basically takeout delivered by the front desk. Which is ok, but this is billed as a boutique property and it's very expensive, and you basically get delivered a paper bag with plastic utensils - if you're lucky. I ordered soup and got a huge container with no spoon. It just was one thing after another like this, like they weren't even trying. The room itself was laid out nicely, lots of space. It was clean but felt dingy. There was some sort of divot in our carpet outside the bathroom by the door where the floor sort of sunk in under the carpet and we kept tripping on the "hole." Generally it felt dark and sort of creepy. I almost NEVER leave a bad review but for the money paid to stay here this felt like a solid three-star experience

Nice hotel in refurbished older building, layout of room a bit wonky but still good.
Arrived at noon before 3 pm check in, inquired if possible to get checked in early. Was advised that there were rooms available, however, would have to pay an early check in fee of $27. No, welcome iced water they advertise. Another day room was not cleaned.
Not the end of the world, but when you pay $1500 for 3 days, I would expect a bit more from the hotel.

I was first introduced to Kimpton properties when a friend / colleague booked me a room at a Denver, CO, property. It was such a well-appointed hotel that I decided to choose it for myself while in Chicago for 3 nights in July. Everything about my stay was fantastic. The room was stylish and chic (and very clean), I appreciated that my bed was made and towels were replenished while I was out each day, the lobby and other public spaces were beautiful, I enjoyed the chilled water available all day near the front desk, most (not all) of the front desk staff were very friendly (the female staff, I would say, were the friendliest towards me - the male staff were not particularly unfriendly, but they were unplussed and did not make an effort to be welcoming / smile / etc.). I also appreciated the first text after check-in, asking how my room was and if I needed anything. I also appreciated the text the next day, asking how my stay was going. I could tell it was personal, as a name was attached and it wasn’t (I don’t think) auto-generated. That made my stay feel very personal. The gentleman (middle-aged, maybe Italian?) who was a concierge / doorman showed great care and assistance to me as a single woman staying at the hotel, and I was most grateful. He patiently gave directions and advice - especially on how to navigate the L to Wrigley Field and what areas of town to be sure to avoid. I would definitely stay here again, and will have that opportunity July 2025.

Location is In the business district not too far from Michigan ave but not super convenient if you don’t know the area as a tourist. Hotel is nice but for the price you could be on Michigan ave with something nicer. Hotel staff is great how ever do not use their valet! The valet they use is a third party company hired out not affiliated with the hotel and my car was given out to someone who did not own the car. Did not have a belt ticket to pick up the car or even have any proof of staying in the hotel?
