Reposant et confortable

Très agréable et calme. Cosy. Bel établissement.

Dommage que le restaurant était fermé et les horaires de la réception pas assez larges pour vol matinal (pas hyper tôt non plus à 9h20). Heureusement, l’agent de sécurité a eu la gentillesse de venir nous descendre avec les valises et la voiturette car notre chambre était loi de la réception.

Génial avec mes copines. On a kiffé SXM et malgré les petits quiproquo on reviendra.

les chambres communicantes, c'était top. La grande salle de bain lumineuse également. La piscine est chauffée et on a pu y aller sans problème en groupe à 22h30.

le problème des toilettes et la clim de la suite qui ne rafraichissait pas bien la chambre. Le sol était un peu poussiéreux à notre arrivée

Séjour très agréable, je recommande.

La chambre est spacieuse ainsi que le troisième couchage pour un enfant. La kitchenette est correctement équipée. La terrasse est grande et la vue est magnifique. La piscine est agréable , il n’y a cependant pas beaucoup de transats. Le petit déjeuner est très bien, très complet. C’est un hôtel intimiste où on se sent bien.

Il est un peu éloigné des plages (5 bonnes minutes à pied) et plagiste plutôt méprisant quand on présente la carte de l’hôtel qui donne accès aux transats sur la plage.

Our stay at La Plantation was exceptional. They even remembered my birthday and left a gift in room.

The staff was outstanding; the place was beautiful; the stay and the trip was one for the record books. Simply marvelous.

Nice boutique hotel, great atmosphere

Location of the pool and rooms that partly oversee Orient bay/ocean . The rooms/cottage is very spacious. Usage of beach beds a several clubs is great (Coco Beach is great), happily we were in the low season. Sister restaurant Maison Mère has à very nice ambiance (note fine dining concept). Multiple restaurant options

2nd bed does not have netting for muskitos. Beds could be improved with a topper. The room/cottage has neigboughs, if you have noisy neighbour's (like we did one night out of three) you can hear everything. It's quite a steep walk to the beach, I guess not suitable for everybody. Hotel customers do not get a beach bed at the first row (that's reserved for 'paying' customers)

The place to stay for access to all Orient Bay has

The location and views from our room were incredible. The free breakfast was some of the best food I had all vacation and La Plantation cafe's dinner was amazing. The size of the room was fantastic and perfect for our little one to play around.

We were up at the very top of the property so it was a steep hill to climb to get back to our room. It wasn't too bad and at check in we were escorted up there by the staff in golf carts. I would say the room, though clean and comfortable, was a little run down and could do with a fresh coat of paint.

The breakfast was European in style and lovely. Great view from balcony!

The balcony doors don’t have a way to shut from the outside so bugs were able to get in.

Pool & dinning area gets a 10. Location a 10 min easy walk to lots of restaurants and the beach. Return walk is great exercise (up hill). Room with a view of the bay

The view was fabulous from the room. Though the Hotel I cannot recommend.

The view from my balcony was magnificent!

Several things. I have travelled the Caribbean for over 20 years so my point of view is comparative. The front desk was very unfriendly and unhelpful. No welcoming smiles. I stayed in their Superior Room, so paid a premium and had certain expectations as a result. Things that did not work in the room: No outgoing calls, if you want to call local, you have to go to the reception desk and wait. Seems minor, but no pen and paper in the room. I asked for some to be brought to my room and they never delivered. No alarm clock. They said they did not have clocks for the rooms. The TV did not work, had to have staff come and adjust the settings. The microwave blew up on me. The refrigerator looked like it had been thrown down the hillside, it was all banged up! The kitchen cupboards were not clean, food stuck on handles. The sofas were not clean, they were stained. The safe deposit box stopped working so ended up having to wait for a repair person to come to the room to get my things out in order to leave. The shower had a dead bug in it for 2 days! During check out I went over the bill asked about charges for the taxi, I was told both were included (to and from airport), but when I was at the airport and heading to the Gate, the taxi driver approached me and said I had not paid! The person from the hotel was on the phone saying I owed the driver $60.00 even though the front desk person at check out said I had paid. Befuddled and did not have time to argue I paid the driver. Once home there was a charge for the car rental with a 3% surcharge because the con-man car rental guy at the hotel could not get his charge card device to work. Staff said they tried to call me, that is a lie and at check out nothing was said to me about the car rental. I was told he used the hotel's device, so they charged me an extra 3%! SCAM! We argued back and forth to resolve. Besides the view, sadly I cannot say much good about this hotel.

Sslf service vacation, with a good breakfast!

The hotel offers a nice towel service as well as a good international breakfast

Unfortunately, we were told to not make reservations in advance and we found our selves with the best beach clubs already booked (orient bay is not Caribbean side so we had to organise our own reservations and taxi) at arrival we asked for further information but reception staff is not appropriate and welcoming. luckily we found a taxi driver that helped us.. If we come back, we will go to another place!

Perfect!

Our first stay here. We will definitely be back! We loved the great location near Orient Bay beach and near Grand Case. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Housekeeping did an excellent job and the ladies at the breakfast area were great!

I have no idea what I would do to improve our stay. All was excellent and we are already planning our next trip.

We have been here before and like all the upgrades that have been done.

Breakfast is simple but good helpful young people to serve you fresh fruit or cheese plate. Beach five to choice from very helpful beach boys/girls. Room all you need not a lot to the kitchen but lots of good restaurants.
