A classic hotel with a perfect location

The location was the best thing I enjoyed. I had a walk to the lake and had dinner at Harbor House. The walk was enough to leave an impression of the city to a first time visitor. I also liked the classic feeling of interiors.

Overpriced, but good.

Gary, the maintenance man was very helpful and kind. The hotel was clean, and the room we finally received (after 2 other rooms), was nice.

Did not have a swimming pool, and given the price we paid, had basic facilities. The front desk person (who is new) was not particularly helpful.

Really great area and view, but poor customer service and false advertising on booking

I loved the view and enjoyed how close it was to the fiserv and the public museum

The ac compartment was loud and kept me and my partner up a lot. The walls seemed very thin. You could hear everything in the other rooms and outside the room. There was no microwave in our room and the only one available was the one on the 6th floor. There was no freezer in the fridge, not even a small one. I had to throw out food because I thought there was going to be a microwave in the room like it was advertised on my booking. There was no balcony either like it advertised for my room, but I’m not too upset about that. We also asked for extra towels by calling to the front desk, but then we never received them.

I had a great time

Very clean & beautiful hotel & staff was very helpful & friendly

I could feel the springs in my mattress so hard to sleep. Water in shower could of been a little hotter & had t0 flush the toilet acouple of times.

History stay

The facility has restaurants nearby and within the hotel. The staff was quick to assist.

Not having control over the room temperature. Outdated rooms and historical buildings are one thing that I enjoy, However, no microwave nor refrigerator inside of the room.

Superb

One cannot beat this hotel for its location. It has attached parking where you can leave the garage several times and not be charged extra.

We took part in the Saturday brunch. It was nice, but the waitress was clearly overwhelmed by how busy it was (restaurant was not half full). It took so long to get check, we charged it to our room. The room didn’t have a fridge, but there was an ice machine near our room. Pillows were not great.

Most clueless staff i have ever dealt with

When we checked.were told our resurvation was cancelled.we were told we had to contact booking.com to have it reversed.took foreverto find aphone # to call.when we did get a hold of someone we were told our reservation was still live.took awhile but she gave us anew confermation# that worked.we were in the system the whole time.if they had tryed they would have found it.they had me do their job for them.the next day we left early for the day.we got back and found the room had not been made up.called housekeeping and was told that we needed to call 24 hours in advance for housekeeping services have never heard anything so screwed up in my life.will never stay there or at any hilton again

convenient to convention center, local charm. historic and quaint.

close to convention center. great restaurant options (Starbucks, steakhouse and casual dining). good food. room walls thin, could hear neighbors up all night. building historic and quaint.

Great location for the intermodal station.

The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room size was good and bathroom nicely appointed. I liked that there were three options for food. The pub served reasonably priced meals and had a good atmosphere.

The room could have been a bit cleaner. There were marks on the mirror, dust on a shelf, no back on TV remote. The breakfast was a bit overpriced for the offerings.

Everyone was so very kind and accommodating.

We had to wait for our room for 15-20 minutes, so our representative gave us complimentary breakfast for the following morning. That was very kind.

An Army Veteran discount would have been nice.

Superb

Room service/housekeeping policy of not cleaning every day/cleaning only when requested. Elevators are efficient and don't need passkey like newer hotels. Parking & eating able to be put on room bill.

Air conditioning was a bit noisy. Breakfast selection was the same every day and pastries could have been better quality.

it was pleasant. Coulve been better

the hotel is very nice.

my bedsheets had blood in it. the rug by the nightstand was soaking wet. Has to put some wash towels on it so I wouldn’t feel the wetness. We were to tired the night we arrived, and we just wanted to go to bed. That’s why we didn’t call the front desk.
