Enjoyable

Room was clean, bar downstairs not affiliated to hotel, was very nice to have a meal and drink at the end of the day. Happy hour 4 to 7. Have to be over 21 though!

Gute und preiswerte Unterkunft mit perfekter Busanbindung

Gute Lage mit Anbindung an den kostenlosen Dash Bus. Saubere und geräumige Zimmer. Super freundliches Personal. Parkplätze sind auch ausreichend vorhanden. Essensmöglichkeiten sind fußläufig erreichbar.

Beautiful Hotel and lovely staff!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hollywood Historic Hotel. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. We had a couple of questions and they were able to help us out! We used the car park which was very reasonable - although not unlimited space so worth checking before you travel! Our room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was nice with toiletries. The hotel itself is very beautiful and we enjoyed our time here!

Schönes älteres gut ausgestattetes Hotel

Das Hotel hat uns von Aussen und Innen sehr gefallen. Klassisch und schön, historisches Haus. Schöner grosser und sicherer Parkplatz. Nettes Personal. Sehr sauber. Besonders ist, dass man nebenan noch ein Restaurant und eine Bar hat, auch zum Draussen sitzen und Geniessen. Super Essen und Drinks. Feinen Kaffee und Frühstück kann man gleich um die Ecke in der Patisserie geniessen. Sie geben sich an dieser Stelle grosse Mühe ein gutes Konzept zu bieten.

Aus hygienischen Gründen, die vielen Teppichböden. Aber halt so amerikanisch. Man mag sich aber nicht vorstellen, was sich in so einem Teppich alles so ansammelt. Beim Buchen erliegt man vielleicht schnell der Annahme das man schnell bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten ist. Hollywood Blv. Melrose Ave etc. Dem ist nicht so. Man braucht überall das Auto, zu Fuss ist es schwierig. So schön das Hotel auch aussieht und liebevoll mit wirklich alten und schönen Fotos dekoriert ist. Die Glanzzeiten von LA scheinen der Vergangenheit anzugehören. Der Walk of fame lohnt sich nicht zu besuchen.

It was fair for two nights. Cannot be beaten on price!

It had a traditional vibe, excellent value for money, room size was very good.

It was pretty far out for anything if not driving (which to be fair is true for most of this area). Homelessness chronic with rough sleeping in area. (Note: any person who approached us was nothing but respectful and we didn’t feel uneasy but would understand others might) . One little downside was although the bed was an amazing size - the window side was indented a little and creaky.

Elegant historic hotel within walking distance of Paramount Studios

Loved the historic preservation of the building.

It is on a busy street and the traffic noise was louder than I expected.

Really comfortable stay

Hotel and the room were clean and staff was very friendly. Room was cleaned every day and new water bottles left, which was a nice extra. Restaurant in the hotel was good and also cafe next to hotel :).

I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Parking was easy and safe. Room was clean and comfortable. There was a great bar in the lobby for dinner, and a coffee shop a few feet away.

Bathroom was small, but that’s to be expected from an older building.

Decent location, needs a refresh to charge what they’re charging.

Good location for Paramount studios tour, and centrally located for LA overall. Decent restaurant options in walking distance.

Definitely overpriced for what you get - much better options around the same price in LA. Parking was good to have, but the parking system was very weird. There was a valet, but he didn’t park the cars - just directed you where to park and there wasn’t enough parking for the number of guests. At one point he had our car blocked in, and refused to help when we needed to leave.

My preferred place to stay in LA

I love staying here, its my second trip and im already booked in again for next year. Its a good location at a great price for LA. The staff are friendly and professional and best of all consistently helpful.

Its a historic building so some modernization is lacking, but would like to see coffee/tea making materials in rooms still.

A good deal for a short stay near Hollywood

The room was clean. The staff was super nice and gave us free parking as we only stayed for one night. The hotel is a historic building, and has a good location.

There's limited power outlets. Also no exhaust fan in the restroom.

Es ist passabel.

Lage und Preis sind okay. Mit dem Zimmer zum Innenhof auf Anfrage, ist die Nacht ruhig verlaufen.

Etwas dreckig. Wir haben uns auf der Bettwäsche nicht wohl gefühlt. Die Toilette hatte einen komischen Geruch.

Worst hotel in Los angeles

Worst experience ever. I asked for change date they did not respond to my request for 1 week and when they responded through customer service they asked double price. Will never book this hotel

Fraud. Don't book this hotel. If there is any provlem with booking they ignore your requeats

Nice place to stay near Hollywood.

All was well. It is indeed a historic (aka somewhat dated) hotel; bathrooms were a bit too small, but nothing was really amiss. There is a restaurant in the hotel, and you might hear a bit of noise from people sitting outside, but it did not bother me.

Classy and Quaint Hotel!

The staff (Betty, David, Michael, and Charley) were wonderful. Classy, quaint, and clean hotel in a great location (very close to Paramount Studios). The Edmond restaurant and Sweet Shop bakery are next door as well (so delicious and convenient). The rooms were large and comfortable. Loved the 2 complimentary bottled waters that was in each room.

Nice historical hotel with comfortable beds in a nice position

Very nice historical hotel, nice and comfortable bed, very good personell. Good location, close to the Hollywood studios and not too far from Beverly Hills area. The hotel had also a nice bar/restaurant area which was really lively in the evening. At the corner there was also a nice bakery-patisserie.

The bathroom and especially the bathroom sink was really small. The parking at 18$ A night was pretty expensive, even by LA standards.

Very good

The Hotel was nice and clean. Good location for the event I was attending. The staff was very nice, especially Beatrice. Highly recommend. I do suggest that they with The Edmond, they are closed on Sundays.

Good location, clean.

No coffee machine. Instead they decided to open a coffee shop for customers’ breakfast. Front desk staff were not happy and nor professional. On July 1st daytime shift, the guy is not friendly nor professional. And the next morning I said good morning to him, he couldn’t even open his mouth to greet back. On July 2nd at 7:30 pm with a different person. When I asked him about where I dropping off the keys to check out the next day, he was looking at his phone and answered my question and then looked at his phone and me back and forth. Both of then gave me the impression that they didn’t seem to have enough pay so they can’t honor their job.

Comfy restful night

Super clean, comfy bed and pillows. We had a quiet night and slept live babies. Plus point for having microwave and mini fridge.

Parking wasn't complementary and it was a bit crowded. We got the last spot available though and it was gated, so it was extra safe.

Good location, clean, comfortable and safe parking

We had a room on the front of the hotel, 214, and we could see the Hollywood sign. The room was quite spacious although a little dated. Parking to the rear of the hotel was gated and safe, with an attendant present all day until sunset. There was a bar and restaurant in the hotel which had a vibrant atmosphere, comfortable and the food was also good. A rear garden area where you could sit outside to drink and eat was also worth a visit.

The road outside was quite busy throughout the night with traffic, and we had difficulty sleeping the first night as it seemed like there was a window open. We checked next morning and the noise was coming through a window mounted air conditioning unit which had not been fitted with an acoustic barrier, hence you could see directly through the vent to the outside. We bought some ear plugs locally which solved the issue.

Old times in modern day Hollywood next to major studio

historic hotel as name suggests it is an old hotel with modern rooms. there is a private parking lot on the property and very nice bar

room was very small and had old school windows, but this was expected from a historical building
