was fine but a bit pricey for the value

location, very friendly staff, very friendly shuttle driver, availability of shuttle, complimentary shuttle, complimentary decent breakfast, location on bus line, big room, and nice hotel lobby

Could be cleaner in hallway, needed some updating in second building, noisy room, price was quite high

Laundry free. And there pretty lenient on later checking out if you need a few minutes to a half hour.

We were there for one night and it sufficed our needs.

Breakfast and the airport shuttle. Proximity to Lake Hood was the most important.

The whole hotel seemed dated and needed major renovation. Lots of repairs needed

Dirty room, doors stained and destroyed by humidity, bathroom not clean, old carpets, same goes for the corridor, there was a huge bag with garbage next to the elevator since we arrived till we left the day after, picture is attached, dirty floors in the lobby, dirty door connecting the dinning room with the kitchen, the top was at the beginning, we called the hotel to have a shuttle come to the airport, well, after 45 minutes I called again as the hotel is 10 minutes away, the receptionist told me that good that I called again because she was very busy and forgot to tell the driver to go to the airport

Location was perfect for what we needed. Within walking distance to many things.

Hotel is very old & run down but comfortable enough for the two nights we were there.

The Alex was a plain hotel but because it is Alaska in the peak tourist season they charged a relatively high rate for the quality offered. The hotel is plain and somewhat dingy. I was given a third floor room and then told there was no elevator so I had to carry everything upstairs and down a long dark hall on my own. The room was spacious and had a lot of outlets but had it been in any other city than Anchorage it would not be worth the cost. There are several other hotels in the nearby vicinity, some chain hotels with higher standards for about the same price.

Breakfast was very plain and not very good. Adequate might be an appropriate word. The staff was pleasant but didn't seem to particularly go out of their way.

The location is centrally located close to the airport

Only one elevator works The staff is unfriendly and unhelpful One of the staff members instead of filling a cup of water for me tried to charge me $2 for a bottle of water The internet was very slow The complimentary toiletries were poor quality The breakfast buffet was poor quality

dirty room. Bathroom was dirty, bath tub had hair in it and leftover soap. A lot of Dirty Drunk natives. they were loud all night. the heater in the room didn’t work so it was very cold. complained to front desk. they said so sorry. good continental breakfast and good location. won’t ever return.

Adequate, nothing to write home about

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Bathroom was clean, bed was comfortable, it was quiet.

Carpet in the room wasn't vacuumed well, room was tired, breakfast wasn't worth showing up for.
