Great location! Easy walking distance to all the restaurants, galleries, museums, and shops. The landscaping is gorgeous. Lots of amenities onsite although I didn't have a chance to enjoy them. Room is comfortable and I found it quiet during my stay.

There wasn't a desk or a surface where I could work on my laptop. Since I was here for work I found it very inconvenient to have to work in the main lobby. Lots of distractions. Not all the rooms have this issue but I was disappointed that I could switch to another room. If this is an issue for you make sure the room includes a desk when you book. There really isn't any breakfast available onsite. The "cafe" is subpar.

I liked that it was close to the ballpark and all the shopping. The room was comfortable.

I didn’t like the screaming boys that were running around the pool and hot tub while we were relaxing. I would have liked to have a phone to the front deck so you could talk to someone without having to go over to the deck.

I like that I was able to get checked in remotely and use my phone as a digital key. The location for old town Scottsdale was great and overall convenient location. It has a cool/hip vibe that I appreciated and overall it was very quiet and peaceful despite being in a busy area. I think I got what I paid for.

The overall feel of the property was hip and modern but it looked a little tired just below the surface. If you’re used to staying at a newer hotel that is part of a mainstream brand like Hilton, you could find this not to the same standards.

Lack of facilities: 1) No laundry service or laundry applinces on complex, 2) no water in room or vending machines on site, 3) rooms/housekeeping was non-existent and even requested payment for supply clean towels, bedding, etc. 4) swimming pool was not only closed but was full of workmen breaking off tiles, etc. with Kango’s and the like creating noise and dust and obviously the pool bar was closed as a result and 5) the TV system was the most complicated i have ever come across, everything was weird streaming applications?! I have noticed a public sign on the border on the resort advising that the site is to be demolished and re-purposed however whilst it is still charging good money for the stay it should provide adequate facilities and services.

It’s a standard Scottsdale property, mini fridge, nice lobby. It’s close to downtown, but it’s really more the kind of place you stay when you and friends want to drink at their pool.

This property is located near a medical facility so that means sirens all night long. Beds aren’t comfortable. No towel refresh service unless requested, want you to check in digitally (give I.D. and credit card ahead of time.) Nothing luxurious or special.

Location is perfect for old town.

I booked for the swimming pool. However this was closed all week with no notice. Also, the walls are so thin I could hear a baby next door crying all week.

We had absolutely no notice the pool would be closed. That was part of the reason we picked this hotel. We wanted to drink by the pool and enjoy the DJ. It wasn’t until the next morning we woke up to the jack hammers we realized the pool was closed. A little warning would have been nice because we would have booked excursion

1 hour before check-in they cancelled my reservation. I tried to call, but they don't have anybody on-site, everything routed to India. Nobody could explain what happened, They have a strange automated process, so seems like if something goes wrong they just cancel and you're SOL. DO NOT BOOK!

in Old town Scottsdale

the « monarch ». seems rather like a « motel ». My bed was broken, i had to fix some bed slates. , no cleaning during stay. Worst was the jack humer every day from 8 to 5 without notice.

Convenient downtown location.

I’m a returning guest and was extremely disappointed with this stay. I booked a poolside room and was not told that the pool was being resurfaced for my entire stay which was non-refundable. It was extremely loud (piercing constant drilling) and made working from the room impossible, let along being comfortable during the stay. Other guests were screaming from the balcony for the workers to stop. When I reached out to customer service I was offered ear plugs and $20. I wish I was joking.

I felt like I had a lot of privacy, which is something I don’t usually get in hotels so I loved that. And it was a beautiful property.

There was construction at the pool so it was very loud and disturbing but it only lasted a few hours and it wasn’t at night or anything like that so all is well.

Location was awesome.

We looked very forward to hanging out by the pool for the day. Pool was under construction with jackhammers. SO loud you couldn’t stand to be outside. Small pool was open, but very disappointed for the price we paid. Also very noisy with street traffic.

The location was very good and the bed was very comfortable.

The furniture felt like well used IKEA. The refrigerator was very small and on the floor. You had to stand on your head to see into it. No regular TV to speak of. If there was WiFi we didn't know. No water pressure in the shower. No microwave.

Facing a busy road so traffic noise. The fan in the bathroom was so loud it felt like a jet plane taking off.

Dirty towels and sheets and the smell of mildew. I left a day early and I have a bad cough from the smell.

I like the location! It was easy to get to the city center or to the main park. My room had a pool view and I really loved it. I’ll definitely comeback and highlight recommend Sonder to all my friends.

Everything was perfect!

Stylish and comfortable hotel next to Scottsdale Old Town. Big room with terrace facing the Civic Center park. Nice on-site coffee bar and restaurant. Coffee machine in the room.

The on-line reservation process includes creating a profile on their App and having to scan personal documents for identity check. Time-consuming and concerning. But will be quicker next time. No hanging space, just some hangers in the bathroom. The bar/restaurant closed at 7.45pm when I was there (supposed to me 9pm).

Room had a smell of smoke and it was a non smoking room, towels in the room were a bit off looking and stiff. Toilet was not properly cleaned before getting the room we noticed there were pee stains around the black flooring and toilet under the rim. Stay was uncomfortable we left early.

Good price. Next to downtown Scottsdale but no good fast food around. Nice pools.

Restaurant wasn’t so yummy. Room service costs 34 dollars. The man that does massages at the spa is a bit creepy and pushy about tipping. No microwave. No laundry available.
