The room reeks of bleach, OLD and DATED.
This place is completely run down and not worth $600z

Beautiful grounds. Super nice vibe-like being in Tuscany. Room huge and nicely decorated. Welcome glass of wine and muffin appreciated. Very nice breakfast.
Welcome snack not as opulent as advertised on resort’s website. Actual glass wine glass would have been classy. Several things in disrepair left the impression the resort has fallen on hard times. Despite this I certainly would return.

We love the offering of watching movie in the open air and free S'more.
And the reading room at roof top is adorable.
We worked in the sunshine in the poor area with our dog, it was relaxing and beautiful.
The pickle ball on the meadow is lovely. We played it on the ground with fallen leaves on it.
If the backyard lawn of room #5 can be trimmed and maintained more neatly...

No Ac in room. wanted to light a fire but never got cool enough.

Beautiful location, great for dogs and we had one with us. Loved the room. Loved that they greeted us with wine and a cookie and were so helpful with a place to have dinner.
Nothing.

Sonoma Coast Villa was inviting and private. We loved the patio off our poolside room and the space was comfortable.
There was nothing that we did not like, except that the weather was not warm enough to swim!

The facility is pleasant but isolated and a short drive from the bay and the modest touristy center. The facility boasts a pool (non heated and unused), and indoor spa (with a startling warning sign), and an outdoor area devoted to light sports activities, like a putting green, corn hole boards. At night, the fire pit is lighted with fixings for s'mores while you watch a movie on the outdoor screen. Fog is very common this time of year, so did not see too many takers. The staff is very pleasant and greet you with a glass of local wine. The room was large with a wood burning fireplace, in our case, necessary since the room did get cool at night. The bathroom boasts a nice shower as well as a jacuzzi bath tub asking to conserve water. The breakfast was not varied but adequate for most every need, and included eggs, bacon/sausages, and potatoes, as well as a host of other breakfast items including a fruit cup. yogurt, bagels, sweet rolls. The coffee was outstanding. Always ate dinner out, including the The Tides and The Casino. The first is iconic with great views of the bay, the latter is good but only accepts cash. Sonoma and Healsburg are not far away and it was easier to have a big lunch in these towns and resort to crackers and cheese and a glass of wine in the evening. Better value and better choices in the two towns mentioned.

Long walk to the back. Would be nice to have a drop off area for luggage.

Everything! Greeted by a very friendly hostess that took us back to our room and explained what was available; s’mores at the fire pit, glass of wine, free trail mix & cookies to take with us and a full breakfast included in the price the next morning! if there was a 6th Star, they’d get it!

How cozy it was.
There was no cable, Wi-Fi was horrible, power went out, no cellular service. Housekeeping walked in my room with out knocking one morning!

Too many things to go into in depth. It is in a quiet location, near Bodega Bay, but away from all the traffic. The staff were wonderfu - every one of them. My wife and I loved the loft above the office. It's bright and warm - we spent the afternoon one day up there just reading and relaxing. S'Mores movie nights were a unique touch. The evening we checked in, the movie was "The Birds". Our room was very nice, as was breakfast in the morning. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely go again when we can.
Not a thing.

Gorgeous location. Big room with fireplace, like a suite. Comfy bed. Nicely decorated. Staff was friendly.
We had a heater or generator outside our window that was awful if the window was open. Luckily it was winter! Also, the walls & backsplash in the bathroom were a bit dirty.

Beautiful grounds, spacious rooms, nice variety of choices for breakfast and a good selection of wines to buy.
Needing more lighting on both sides from the road for entrance into the resort.

The staff were very welcoming. The property was lovely, very nice landscaping. Our Premium Villa King room was lovely, very spacious and comfortable. Especially liked the wood fireplace.
The weather! But it wasn’t the property’s fault at all. We happened to visit during a terrible rain and windstorm.

great location!
One of the beds in room #1 had a dent and is in need of replacement. if it weren’t for the pillow, my head would have been lower than the rest of my body on the bed.

There are only 18 rooms at the Sonoma Coast Villa, so it really felt like we were on a private retreat. The property is beautiful and well maintained. We brought our dog and it was nice having a pet relief area (a small patch of turf) available, as well as a large lawn in the back for him explore. There are also other amenities that we’ll explore when the weather is better, like the putting green, bocce ball court and pool. There’s also an indoor jacuzzi, so be sure to bring your bathing suit.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The reception staff went into detail explaining the nearby dining options and personally showing us to our room.
We had the junior king suite by the pool, room 6. It’s quite spacious and has a wood-burning fireplace. Note that each room has a mini fridge (big enough to hold wine bottles), but there are no microwaves in the room. There is a microwave you can use in the dining room whenever the front building is open.
I was also very pleased with the included breakfast. They offered eggs, bacon and sausage, in addition to pastries, oatmeal and cold cereal. There is also coffee and cookies available throughout the day.
We’d definitely recommend this place.
There was nothing I didn’t like.

close to bodega bay. breakfast was good. heated tile floor in the room. bed was very comfortable. Chex mix in lobby.
we got charged a $38 resort fee that was not included in the booking price. it’s not a resort. they have a pool (but it’s too cold to swim now) and a hot tub, but that’s all. property seems a little run down, was obviously built in the 80s. they have wood burning fire places in rooms which I consider to be a major fire hazard. bathroom is dated and tub had some mold around it. room had a free bottle of Voss water, but when I drank some, I swear it had been refilled with tap water. just tasted off. our bargain room turned out to be over $300 for the night with the additional fees. won’t stay again.

Loved the breakfast! Location is lovely and quiet but not close to restaurants. The traffic back into Bodega Bay is awful on a Monday holiday. On Tuesday, drive to Bodega Bay was quick though. Liked the grounds, the jacuzzi is great, and staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Corn hole game was fun. Movie night is a nice idea although it is mostly pfor kids I guess. (I found out Goonys played from another guest.)
The pool was too cold in the evening. Ice from the freezer melted and left water in the fridge.
