Left immediately after finding the accommodation unsafe for my children.

Totally unacceptable living conditions, and unsafe for my kids. We were given a second story unit with windows that didn’t latch or close tightly that my kids could just psh out of. There were no screens on the windows and one was cracked in half (and quite sharp, my eight-year-old found before we did). The designated fire escape stairs were closed with no explanation. The unit did not match any of the photos on booking.com and wasn’t even close to the quality of the presented accommodations (maybe their other units are nicer?). On top of all of this, we were met with hostility regarding our concerns and told to take it up with booking.com who only gave a partial discount (we didn’t stay any nights). Unbelievable from both the hotel and booking.com.

Great solo traveler stay in Pacific Grove

I liked the proximity to the butterfly grove and the beach (a short walk), the hot tub, and the general quiet vibe. It was nice for a solo traveler or would have been good for a couple as well.

The room wasn't ready at check-in so I had to wait another 20 minutes for them to finish cleaning. Overall the property is a bit older and not super modern.

We enjoyed the inn, its ambiance, and its setting very much!

Quite comfortable family suite in an updated 1915 house. The exterior is vintage and attractive, and the interior keeps the feeling but with modern conveniences. Great location, quiet, residential, and adjacent to the monarch butterfly preserve, yet only a short drive to downtown, beaches on both sides of Pacific Grove, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and Cannery Row. Chris at reception was very nice and helpful. Lots of electrical sockets in the rooms, electronic room keys, heat works well, nice decor, comfortable beds and furniture, good wifi. The large bedroom was very spacious, with a mirrored closet, iron and folding board, plenty of lamps and overhead lighting, gas fireplace (not used during monarch season because of gas effluent), luggage rack, big dresser, two nightstands, digital clock, armchair, table and four chairs, and two windows facing east. All windows in the bedrooms have both sheers and drapes, and there is a blind on the bathroom window. The bathroom is modern. Everything was sparkling clean. Parking was close by the stairway to the second floor. Exterior and interior lighting at night kept us safe from falls. A lot to like!

Paved parking would be nice, especially when it rains. The old windows need insulation. The small bedroom in the family suite was really small and had neither closet nor armoire, only a few drawers for storage. This wasn’t made clear in the description. Also, a little more in the way of kitchen facilities would be very helpful. The microwave, coffee maker, and fridge are good; I would have liked some compostable cutlery, paper plates and bowls, and napkins to facilitate eating breakfast at the inn rather than going out.

There was no breakfast but the coffee was great and the people were wonderful.

The Jacuzzi didn't work, but everything else was great.

We couldn’t wait to check out of this cold and dirty room.

No breakfast. If you wanted coffee, the office didn’t open until 8:00.

The room’s floor made my white socks very dirty. The fireplace didn’t work. The only source of heat was a plug in heater stored in the closet. The ceiling fan was caked with dirt. The tub/ shot was very small, more like what you might find in a tiny house.

Close to everything. Nice staff. Comfortable bed clean bathroom.

The carpeting was very dirty looking. Stained needs updating. Room smelled moldy.We were woke up at 7:30am to tree trimmers. The manager told me I would received 10% discount on my room. Haven't seen that yet.

Nothing fancy, but super comfortable and relaxing stay in a great location.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Location was super convenient to shops and restaurants while still being quiet and relaxed setting.

I wish the inn would allow dogs to sit with their owners inside the pool area. It would be nice to be able to sit as a family in there.

Very convenient location, large and comfortable room

The room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. There was a large fridge, and a microwave that we did not use. The location was perfect in Pacific Grove, close to everything, and very quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The furniture and especially the bathroom are a bit worn out, a refresh would be needed. I find it a bit cheeky that no breakfast is served any longer due to covid - during our trip in California we've never heard a mention of COVID except here, it feels a bit excessive. Anyway, our stay was good and we would still recommend this place.

The desk staff person was helpful and amiable. The room was clean and comfortable. The noise level at the property was minimal. Location was great.

Overall we had a very quiet and enjoyable stay.

Joey, Emma, and Susie were all very nice and helpful. Joey went above and beyond by providing additional cleaning of the charcoal grill and pool. We didn't end up using the grill but if the Inn had some charccoal bricks and grill implements, we would have grilled some steaks or fish or vegetables. The gas fireplace in the room was very pleasant.

More overhead lighting. Thicker walls. Upgrade the beds/mattresses.

We enjoyed the cute, quiet and quaint inn!

Checking in was quick and easy, location to Cannery row was less than 10 min, so many cute little shops and restaurants around. The room was clean and we were very content with everything. Theres a butterfly reserve that abuts the parking area in the back so it was a nice little stroll in the day (butterfly migration permits good view in around November)

Great Location, wonderful room!

We had a wonderful time. The double queen bedroom is extremely large. The hotel is in a fabulous location. It's great that parking is free. Will definitely stay here again!

A beautiful Inn that is family and dog friendly.

I really liked the location, brightness and size of the room, the well kept up grounds, friendly & hard working staff, that dog and family friendly Inn, complementary coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the lobby.

The pool wasn't heated, however the hot tub was very nice and the staff had clean towels on the outdoor table everyday.
