Awesome resort that we will stay at again!

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The resort is downtown attached to the indoor mall. You can walk to everything. We never started the truck once we got there. On sight restaurant is good as well!

Exceptional

It is a great location; you can walk most places or take a short ride to get there. It was nice to have a place to eat attached. Loved all the extras like pool and fitness. The promptness the staff took to replace our faulty coffee maker.

Can't think of anything for us personally. I do think the room doors should have a stop or something to hold them open so the luggage carts aren't hitting them, possibly causing damage. Just an observation.

Comfortable and Convenient

Our 2nd-floor room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed to stay for a few days. Very convenient to downtown shops and restaurants. Beautiful lake views. Easy parking. Smallish TV and very expensive in-room movies ($21). Friendly staff.

Heat/AC vent was strong and blew directly onto the beds. We put a magazine into the edge of the vent to divert the rush of air. Other than the direction of the airflow, the room temperature was comfortable.

Gorgeous, one of my favorite hotels

Everything about this hotel is exceptional! I always book a lakeview room, and the views are amazing.

I was warned that I didn't want to be there during a hockey tournament, and while I'd always like to be there, I have to say GA staff was correct! The kids were very loud running up and down the halls and using foul language. They were throwing items at the ducks in the lake. I expected crowded, but not rude. However, not the hotel's fault at all and I'm very thankful they let me keep my room during the tournament.

Very good hotel overall

The fact that you can access the village by an internal corridor

I was parked on level 3 North and my room was on level 4 North. To access my car upon my departure, I took the elevator down to Lebel 3 and when reaching the door to the garage, you have 3 steps to go down and then one step to go up. Not at all convenient when you have your luggages, bags etc with you. Why not I install some kind of a board partially covering the steps so that we can pull our luggage up or down without having to lift it up. Also, I did not like the lack of transparency of adding room service tips on the bill. This should be made clearer at booking time or upon arrival. And finally, I did not have dinner at your Generation restaurant because the two main entree had the same garniture on the menue: gnocchi but I don’t like gnocchi. And it was also one of the appetizers. I think that a bit more variety in your menue could be welcome.

Great place to stay to get away!

Third time staying here. One of my favorite places to stay in Lake Placid! Great room. Great view. Pleasant staff!

Parking. There was a bus and also a wedding party. It was difficult to find parking within the garages.

Not worth it.

The staff was friendly

The rooms were extremely out dated and did not feel clean. Blood stain on white comforter. Shower took forever to heat up. Our room smelled so bad (like dirty feet and used bathroom), we were only there 2 nights so not worth changing rooms, but we had to leave our balcony door open the entire trip just to air it out. We could stay down the road at the brand new hotel for the same price.

The location is amazing. I love the limestone lakeside beach

The rooms could use some updating. The AC unit was very loud and the water pressure in the shower was poor

A very relaxing three days!!

Everyone was helpful and friendly. The room was very charming and clean. Lake Placid is very conscientious of COVID and there are several hand sanitizers located everywhere and many fresh towels in the room as well as the bathroom by the front desk. Very green atmosphere! My room was really close to the garage which made getting my baggage so easy. I didn’t hear noise from the garage though. I had a lovely patio by the lakeside beach. Plenty of fun boats and kayaks available for guests if you like!
