Reserved two nights, only stayed one and we were told we wouldn't receive refund.

The view was amazing and the balconies were great

No Air conditioning in our room, we found a hair in the bed when pulling back the covers and they had issues with their water.

Good place for the money.

View was excellent. Loved the deck.

The chair s uncomfortable. So would of liked a recliner chair. And had a few pesty flys in the room. And few problems with the water .no ice that day

Exceptional

The room was updated and clean. Bed was fabulous, sheets like new. Staff was genuine and wanted to and value to our stay. They had great recommendations for parks and gift shops in Grand Marias. This is a class operation- technically a Motel-not! The view of Superior from the room was calming as heck.

The view couldn't be better, you are right at the edge of Lake Superior, But be aware there is no access to the lake from the property, but plenty of parks and waysides along Hwy 61 for direct access.

Would have liked a coffee maker in the room or access to the coffee served in the office earlier than 8:00 am.

Everything went very well - it was very peaceful.

Even though you have wi fi, that didn't really work well when I was sending photos from my phone. I could send text messages only. We would have appreciated a hot breakfast like in the past.

Amazing staff and picture-perfect rooms and views!

The Cliff Dweller is a beautiful property located right on the lakefront. Comfortable, clean, rustic-themed rooms have gorgeous views of the lake and a wonderful deck on which to enjoy them. They offer a lovely start-your-day-off-on-the-right-note coffee/tea/hot chocolate and delicious pastry mini breakfast in a sunroom overlooking the lake. Angelia, at the front desk and everywhere, is professional, friendly, and always available to make sure your stay is perfect. The Cliff Dweller has it all…great location, gorgeous setting and rooms, and extraordinary customer service and caring! I will never stay anywhere else!

Lovely!!

Absolutely a “10!” Pride of ownership and management is a good way to describe Cliff Dweller. Our room was very updated & clean with nice beds, bedding, & towels. An extra bonus treat was delicious muffins & coffee in the lobby in the morning & was a great perk after skiing all day. Manager, Angelia, is a pleasure to meet and chat with. Thank you for a lovely stay! My husband & I travel a lot and we highly recommend Cliff Dweller for your next stay in Tofte, MN.

Relaxing getaway

This was my first time staying here and would definitely do so again. This hotel has been recently renovated. My room had pine walls and ceilings making it very cozy. My room was perfectly clean and charming. The bed was super comfortable with soft bedding. You can't beat the view from the sliding glass door overlooking Lake Superior. After skiing all day, I enjoyed just relaxing and enjoying the view before soaking in a hot bathtub. I never heard anyone else during my stay even though at least one room next to mine was occupied. I appreciated the morning muffins, granola bars, and coffee in the lobby.

Great Getaway at Lake Superior

I had a lovely stay at Cliff Dweller. Everything just went so smooth. Especially, I want to thank Angie at the reception to make this such a nice experience around Lake Superior and the surrounding woods.

Cozy accommodations in the perfect location to explore, overlooking Lake Superior.

Angie at the front desk was amazing! She was so sweet and check-was so simple. Added extra Covid/ contactless protocol. Room was adorable for price and the view from our room on Lake Superior was unbeatable. We came for a romantic weekend get-a-way to explore the north shore.

There was limited tv channels and not the strongest WiFi- neither of which bothered me personally since I came to disconnect and explore outdoors.

Lovely accomodations!
