location, and they seem to be making some efforts to improve the place.

it is a disgrace to the Country Inn & Suites brand and by far the worst place I've stayed. But what is really bad is that they are double billing claiming "it's Booking.com that is to blame". I told the front desk attendant that I would dispute the extra charge with Am Ex, but he said he didn't care. Amazing scam.

I would never stay here again.

The only good thing about this Hotel is the location. I left 1 hour after checking in and I did appreciate the front desk gentleman being very understanding and gave me a full refund. He was very sweet.

The pictures online are not what the rooms look like. It was obvious people are living out of this hotel. It was not a "good" crowd living out of the rooms. I did not feel safe here and left after 1 hour and went else where.

Will never come back.

Thought it was ok at first. Used to stayed Best western next door but accidentally booked this one. Thought it would be equivalent but this was horrible.

No towels, no lights in sink area, front desk unresponsive when asked for towels, eventually didn’t even pick up calls. Had to move lamp on dresser to sink area otherwise in the dark.

Disappointed!

Close to the beach. That's about it! If all you care about is being close to the beach (about a block and a half away), then this place might work but don't expect much more.

The hotel advertises "beach front" this is definitely not a beach front hotel. Amenities included in advertisement states jacuzzi/spa which wasn't working and ice machine that also didn't work so you were instructed to walk over to the sister company hotel next door to get it. Mind you it was raining while we were there so we had to walk in the rain to get the ice. I asked for a nice room since it was my birthday and he put us directly behind the stairs which was totally noisy. Another let down was the breakfast. The morning we were to check out, the maid was knocking at our door at 9:45 am and check out was at 11:00. We won't be staying here again.

Location and price

Room was in need of deep cleaning and maintenance. The A/C unit had what looked like dried vomit and mold on the vents. It was old and dried so must have been there for a while and has been ignored by the cleaning and maintenance staff. Also, there was mold and mildew around the window and bathroom perimeters.

Don’t be fooled by photos. Was not as clean either.

The only nice thing about the property is that it was near the beach. All the photos of the actual rooms are fake.

There is people who live at this hotel and made walking out very uncomfortable as they would stare and were loud all night.

Good hotel to stay if you want to be close to Monterey and/or Carmel without the cost.

Seemed like the rooms had been recently renovated and were clean. Breakfast was sufficient. Conveniently located near a beach. Decent restaurants near by (by car)

Previous people had smoked in the rooms so the 2 rooms we had still smelled like cigarettes and pot even though they had been cleaned.

Disappointed with this hotel. It’s actually a long term love in place with a few rooms for rent.

Not much.

Ice and snack/drink machines not working and we were told to go next door to the Best Western and use theirs. Couldn’t get the rooms we booked because residents were living there and smoked in the rooms. Staff did not speak English so I had to just take off the housekeeping cart what I needed.

Breakfast was great. The price was excellent. Multiple places to plug in electronics.

The bathroom wall's baseboard and trim needed repair. Shower curtain rod needed repair.

Very dirty, roach infested, rude staff, terrible view.

Cockroach infestation and the owner admits to having roaches in his room, did not offer us a different room and did not issue a refund. We left and bought a room at the motel 6 down the street and it was a million times cleaner.

this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I will be writing more reviews online to save people from staying here. stains on the duvet covers!!!! not enough towels, rusty shower curtain bar, cracks in the drywall around all the plumbing fixtures, no cleaning service one of our days, broken faucet…gross

I am so disappointed with this hotel. it was 192.00 a night with taxes, and it was disgusting. stains on the duvets!!! breakfast was a cheap as you can do it, I wish I never spent the money on this hotel and I will be writing as many reviews as I can to save people from spending their money. cracks in the drywall around all plumbing fixtures, cleaning service didn’t show up one day, reception didn’t care about that, they just said, “oh” after we told them. hot tub broken, towels old and rough, cracked toilet, not enough toilet paper, room was unusually small, faucet broken, rusty shower rod, soap bar was so cheap. I will never ever stay here again and I wished I didn’t spend money on this disgusting room.

The homeless are residing here. There was a homeless encampment on the bottom floor leading to a room, also other rooms. The floors were dirty on the sides and just overall felt dirty.

not clean; a section of the desk in our room was not wiped down, it was sticky. stains on blankets. room felt very crowded, and it was just 2 of us.

Very very poor service and bad reservation system, unbelievable that it is in Radisson group!

Room and breakfast are just ok.

Their reservation system is just a maze. Other guests opened our room door at night and our card become inactivated in the morning. Staffs have poor service mind and we need to wait more than ten minutes for check-out and invoice. In addition, we got additional charged of 20$ for deposits without being informed during check-in.
