Ich hab mich hier wohlgefühlt

großes Zimmer; alles klimatisiert; Badezimmer und Dusche ausreichend groß; Flasche Wasser kostenfrei auf dem Zimmer; Lobby mit Möglichkeiten zum Arbeiten am Laptop; Frühstück war okay; die angebotenen Sachen zum Essen und Trinken waren okay (typisch amerikanisch, würde ich sagen)

ohne Auto/Mietwagen hat man von hier lange Wege bis zur nächsten Zivilisation; zu Fuss etwa 15 min bis zum nächsten Restaurant (dann jedoch auch viel Auswahl an verschiedenen Shops und Restaurants)

Pool, except temp of water was 100 degrees.

Wait on pre- authorization to drop off. Charges went through 1 day still have authorization pending 4 days . 10 years ago we did 3 days max.

Great Hotel and a Good Price

This hotel was really nice. Great decorations in the lobby and rooms, and I really liked the interesting room layout, with the bed's headboard up against the wall dividing the bedroom and bathroom, and the bed facing out toward the windows. It was definitely different than your standard hotel room! Everything felt modern and stylish. The bed was also really comfortable, the curtains kept the room sufficiently dark, and the shower had good water pressure. I liked that there was a little food pantry area in the lobby where you could buy snacks or cold breakfast (cereal/oatmeal), since the hotel's hot breakfast was not included in the rate. The bar and pool area also looked really nice, though we didn't take advantage of either. It was nice to not have to pay for parking, and we never had any issue with finding a space. The hotel is located right on the freeway so it's not like it is in a scenic location with anything you can walk to, but it is directly across the freeway from The Shops at Legacy, so it is a less than 5-minute drive to all kinds of shopping, restaurants, bars, etc. I don't often have reason to visit Dallas but if I were to ever again, I would definitely stay at this hotel.

The only minor thing I could see being an issue for people is that there is no door between the bedroom and sink area (though the sink is behind the wall dividing the bedroom and bathroom) so if one person is up early and the other is still sleeping there could be some sound and light leakage into the bedroom. Also, there is a frosted glass partition separating the shower from the bedroom so that could also let in some light in an otherwise pitch-dark bedroom (you can't see through the glass, so no privacy issues).

Unexpected Experience

What I like was the overall staff

What I did not like was that when I arrived at hotel, 6853 Dallas Pkwy, Plano, TX 75024, they canceled my reservation without my knowledge and then I was shipped to another location. I was never informed of these changes, even though I made reservations a month in advance. This was supposed to be a business trip and all of my coworkers were together in this hotel and I shipped to their sister location 3202 Parkwood Boulevard, Frisco, Texas. This was a major inconvenience because I flew into town that day and did not have my own transportation. However the manager Michael at the sister location was very accommodating and apologetic for my inconvenience. And due to my inconvenience my 2 night stay was paid for by the hotel. And yes I do appreciate what they did, I would have liked that the communication was better. This was all about status quo and just because I do not travel often, gives you no right to boot me out of the hotel and put someone else in my place.

A big cockroach in my room. Could not get the TV to turn off…was going to unplug it until I noticed the note…’if TV is unplugged a $75 charge fee will apply. Felt like it was one step above a hostel

Would stay at this hotel again in the future. I highly recommend it.

The interior of the hotel looked great. The room itself was very comfy and spacious. It had a wonderful view as well. I liked that the room had 2 desks and a small couch, while still having enough room to navigate the 1-bedroom loft.

I'm trying to think of what could've been better. However, nothing comes to mind. If I had a complaint, it would be that I didn't come visit Aloft sooner. I hope this helps for any travelers out there!

The location

During our stay, there was a celebration party going on all day. The music was extremely loud and overcrowded in the lobby area. We were unable to visit the bar or enjoy the extra lobby activities due to the party.
