There was a loud popping noise that would go off about every 2 to 3 hours. We never could find where it was coming from but was near the refrigerator.

It would be nice if they provided some liquid soaps and shampoos like most places.

The location was awesome. It is away from the busy part of town and the mountain view was great. Friendly staff. I love the ground level room so I don't have to lug my bags up and down the stairs or an elevator.

No breakfast. Not a big deal considering the price is good. The sign could use a little updating. Looks like it needs paint possibly.

The floors could have been a little cleaner

This property was as pictured in profile - the owner has re-invested into the hotel and has made a lot of improvements to an already well kept facility. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the grounds were well manicured and the hotel and parking lot were well lit at night; it was a bonus to be able to park right in front of the rooms. The property is a very short drive from I-81 (about 1/2 mile if that) and sits up on a hill with great views and no traffic noise!

We booked two rooms, the first was a non-smoking room and later added a second room (smoking rooms were all that were left for our second room). Unfortunately the property was completely booked when we arrived so we had to take the smoking room as our second. The non-smoking room was fine but the pillows (all four) in the smoking room were badly stained (and showed right through the pillow cases). We brought this to the attention of the front desk clerk (i took some photos of the pillows to show her) as well as the owner and she immediately went to a storage room for new pillows, although the pillows she wanted to swap out for what was already in the room were used and lying on a wooden shelf, just above several old rolls of carpet and other items that had been removed from the guest rooms during renovation. I was handed two pillows that looked just as bad (if not worse) than the ones already in the room - I politely declined and noted what appeared to be mouse droppings on the old rolls of carpet just beneath the pillows. I thanked the clerk for her help and let her know we would be going down the street to Wal-Mart to purchase our own pillows. We were stopped as we left the hotel for dinner and advised that the owner had brand new pillows in a different storage room and he assured us they would be changed out upon our return. When we arrived back at the hotel we had four brand new pillows and fresh bed linens! As mentioned above, the owner has clearly invested a lot into the property, unfortunately something as simple as pillows was overlooked. All that said, everything was handled to our satisfaction and our stay was enjoyable.

TV remote did not work. TV stuck on one station, room 108. Room had obviously been smoked in.
