Stay here you'll enjoy it!

I love that they kept the old style of the house and didn't update it like most hotels. The room was clean and the bed was soft. The breakfast was the best part I've never had a better french toast.

The street that the place is located is pretty busy but they do provide ear plugs which is nice.

The inn was quaint and private. Enjoyed our stay, the king bed was very comfortable.

Okay B&B but there are better. We would not recommend.

The bathroom was nice.

Very noisy, near heavy traffic. Breakfast was mediocre at best. We said we needed to leave early and it took 45 minutes to serve 2 pancakes . Property is a bit run down.

It was a great experience of southern hospitality.

Antebellum experience. Full of history. Owners were very informative and helpful. They guided us to an excellent restaurant and the Truman Presidential Library. Fantastic day! Lovely goodies and breakfast too.

Wren Cottage is a wonderful nest away from home.

Self check in, privacy, pleasant residential neighborhood close to Truman Library, delicious breakfast, historic piano. Fully equipped kitchen in cottage.

A great weekend in Independence for the Ed Sheeran concert. Super convenient!

The bedrooms in the two bedroom suite were very nice and comfortable. We had two breakfasts at the Inn and they both were delicious.

Once is enough

Breakfast was pleasant

No hot tub as described online Owner could have spent more time sharing info about the B and B so we knew were all facilities were. Very busy road and loud traffic at night. Individual air conditioning unit in room was extremely loud.

Perfect romantic stay cation spot

Newish owner was super friendly upon arrival! We stayed for our anniversary and as an independence area local I've driven past it all the time decided to stay! Charming, absolutely charming. The beach cottage was clean, comfortable, the cottage has its own private hot tub completely private even from surrounding neighbors! Kitchen was not only stocked with dishes and pans but coffee, tea, liquid creamers, but the spices were stocked! Did not need to buy those small things like spices we forget when on holiday! Breakfast was amazing and cooked at the time we sat down, not buffet style! Full two course style breakfast not those horrible continental. Saturday was my partners favorite from scratch made biscuits and from scratch made gravy with an egg and a chicken sausage link after the first course of honey vanilla yogurt topped with home made plum jam and almond slices! Sunday was strawberry and cream filled French toast made with French bread.. and sausage. Served after the first coarse of a Waldorf salad! Coffee, tea, juice and water were available. And the beds.. when you stay on a bed that is better than at home... just amazing service, charming room.. and plenty of soft plush towels... a perfect romantic get away!!! The host is exactly the kind of inn keeper you find joy in visiting again

The only reason location is like 4 * out of 5 was its spring we had windows open and it was very close to a busy intersection and near a firehouse.. when windows are closed though the emergency vehicles and traffic is a lot more muffled and its quiet! But it is very close to a quiktrip and a grocery store! Close to independence Square and other historic travel spots!

Our stay was pleasant.

The room was small but we liked the corner windows and the quieter back of the house location The staff was friendly. It was nice to have coffee snacks available.

The breakfast, though tasty, was a bit lacking. Rolls, biscuits, or muffins could have/should have accompanied the main dish to make for a more substantial offering.

Exactly what we hoped for

It was a pleasant relaxing stay. The owners were friendly and courteous. We travel a great deal, and have stayed at many hotels, which have all been pleasant but there was a peace here, a care for the guests that is above that of a hotel, or other stays. We will recommend them, and look forward to our next stay. May God bless your stay there

Loved the cottage, the private setting and it was close to all the things we wanted to do.

Loved the cottage with separate living, dining, kitchen, and bedroom. Loved the fireplace, the breakfast was good and the staff was excellent. Very helpful and answered all our questions and gave us advice of other places nearby.

We live in the country and were not use to all the traffic at night. You can hear the trains go by all times of the day. Also since you are in the city the emergency vehicle sirens we noticed our first night.

Very neat place to stay

The property is a really cool place to just sit outside & enjoy. We were there for a Chiefs game, so didn’t get much time to enjoy it

This B&B is a gem! Great location, clean, wonderful hosts. We’ll be back!

Excellent breakfast!The house was very clean and beautiful and our room so comfortable. The location was great to all attractions in the area. The greatest thing were our hosts. Amy and Charles. They couldn’t have been any more courteous, friendly and helpful. We were treated like long time friends.

There was nothing that we didn’t like.

Would highly recommend staying at the Silver Heart Inn in Independence, MO.

The breakfast was absolutely excellent. The service was wonderful and the decor was delightful. I so love hearing the history of the house and the town. Hope we can return soon and would highly recommend Silver Heart Inn.

Can't think of anything that could have been improved on. We had our own parking space and all the amenities of home.

So cute and convenient. Loved the cottage. Breakfast was delicious.

We found the bed very hard (firm). It wasn’t comfortable for us.
