Very friendly and helpful staff! Comfortable and quiet. Fun for kids.

Good breakfast and pools were awesome. Very fun for the value. I’ll stay here again!

Horrible stay.

Nothing. We will not be returning.

Staff was unfriendly. Room was supposed to be handicap accessible. Garbage was still in both garbage cans. Spiderwebs on the ceiling corners. Didn't take my shoes off until I went to bed because the carpet looked gross.

Pool and hot tub area was nice

Heater in our room didn't work. Told staff about it and they just said they will send maintenance up. No discount or anything for sleeping in a cold room. Had a ceiling that had previously leaked and looked disgusting. Didn't look like pictures on website...was horrible.

Rooms are decent if you can get past the looks and the icky desk staff.

Room was large, beds we’re comfortable.

Looks like crap from the outside and the parking lot is a hazard. Needs to be ripped out and replaced. Attendant was outside smoking when I came in and I waited 15 minutes for her to even acknowledge I was there.

Didn’t stay.

Staff was ok to deal with

Everything. Terrible location, sketchy people staying in/around hotel, we ended up leaving due to how much our room stunk of weed and cigarette smoke. Did not seem like it was clean. Terrible experience. We went to a different hotel. Booking.com was absolutely amazing to deal with about our inconvenience though.

Great location and price

Great location, Right off the interstate. And a wonderful price. The staff here are always wonderful. The rooms are clean and comfortable even though it is an aging facility I have always enjoyed my time staying here. (This was my 4th time).

It is an aging facility. I am afraid that it will be closed for renovations soon which most likely cause the price to increase.

Superb

It was old but surprisingly an excellent overnight stay! I forgot something in my room at check out, and they called me, and I was able to pick it up!!

I booked it because of the whirlpool tub listed online. When I got there to check in, I was iltold they were all broken. 😔 The walls had chipped paint and door needed painted.

Use The Comfort Inn for safety. BROOKINGS SD.

The location was ok. The morning desk clerk was friendly

Finding the lobby entrance was a pain in the ass. Dark Lobby labeled on tinted glass. No light outside to give a clue. The clerk was rude, I was asked to sign a damage responsibility form asked for my credit card was not given any paperwork of any kind! What was the point of booking online. I sent my 19 year old granddaughter to ask for a receipt and the wifi password he didn't say a word just wrote it down and gave her some kind of printout. . The balcony didn't overlook a pool but a banquet room with so much water damage it looked very unsafe. Ceilings falling in, walls falling in above on first floor roof. Alot of trash there. Really nice view. LOCKS The entrance door 2 was not locking most of the time.. not a feeling of safety the room had broken not working 1 random lock out of 3 working on each door. Bathroom had no exhaust fan and the non waterproof shower curtain let water all over the floor. The maid kept knocking I yelled go away again knocking I got up opened the door "WHAT?" Oh she says never mind. I asked her about the shower curtain missing the plastic lower liner, she said they were all like that. It really is no wonder the place is falling apart. The designated smoking area is anywhere outside. Uha with all of random people hanging around. And a entrance door not locking.I will never prepay for a room again. It was the worst of the worst. If I knew I could share photos of your house of horror I would have had my granddaughter send them to me first. Oh but can't get to that line anyway 😕 Never again

Overall my stay was decent but, wasn’t top tier but the staff was wonderful.

The staff was very friendly and they had a nice pool area.

It is an older property, kind of worn down and the beds were not the most comfortable. I also did not have a microwave in my room like I was told I would.

I was told that it was recently purchased by a new owner and they’ve done many improvements. Keep up the good work!

The entry was clean, desk staff exceptional.

First off, couldn't find the place. Only sign with the name is the one you can see from the highway. Only sign on the building was "casino". After driving around the neighborhood for 15 minutes noticed the sign saying "lobby". Once I got to my room, couldn't stay because of overwhelming cigarette smell. Had my room changed to first floor, though a little afraid to have a door going outside. The halls going to the rooms dark and dingy. Smell was a little better, but room pretty dirty. Desk drawer falling off, bathroom door frame disintegrating, pet hair on the sheets. Really tried to overlook and get the nerve to stay, but after noticing that the security bar on the door going outside was ripped off, each time the wind blew, snow entered the room under the door. Just couldn't do it. Left immediately. The staff was extremely kind.

Descent hotel with all the essentials

The room was too big (compared to rooms found in european hotels). The bathroom was also huge. My room was cleaned every day, and the towels were changed. The staff was polite and helpful. Close by, you can find several restaurants to dine in or take away and also one huge supermarket. There is plenty of space to park your car. There is also an internal swimming pool which I didn't use.

The furniture in the room is kind of old. My room had two doors, one of them could open from outside and didn't have a lock (it was broken). I was afraid that someone could break in. However, this is a safe area, and there are no incidents. Next to my room, there was a door that was banging loudly every time someone was entering/leaving. If this was at night, it was waking you up. My room had an internal door to connect with the next room, and you could hear everything in there. In general, there's a serious problem with soundproofing. Lightning in rhe room was too bad, you could barely see the clothes in your luggage. The breakfast was one of the worst I even had, minimum variety and not the best quality. At the same restaurant you can order pizza for dinner, which was really nice (I got "The Boss" pizza). The parking ground was full of holes and looks abandoned.

We would not stay at this place again unless some major renovations were done.

We needed to stop and sleep because we were very tired from a long day of driving. Room was very expensive for the condition of the building. Needs renovations. Basic necessities were there, but noise from the pool area was very loud. We weren’t there to swim as others were, would have preferred a quieter spot.

Very Memorable. We’ll definitely be back!!

I liked that it was nicely located. I loved the friendly staff. I loved that they were very accommodating. My Daughter had a Dance Competition in town and we had to get a very early start. They served breakfast two hours earlier for the families that needed to leave. The Breakfast was AMAZING. The swimming pools were AWESOME. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The free coffee in the lobby was a Life Saver. Checking-in and Checking-Out was a breeze.

ZERO Complaints. I loved it. Everything and Everyone was AWESOME!

Asthma attack from black mold in the heater

Boss' pizzeria and staff were amazing. It was the only positive about our stay

Our heater was so full of black mold that we couldn't run it. It was freezing cold and we are all sick now. If you have any mold problems this is not the hotel for you. I included pictures of the heater. They gave us a cleaning solution to try to clean it, but there was no cleaning that!!

beyond disappointing

I specifically rented from this establishment because they have a great pool and hot tub.

The hot tub wasn’t working and the pool was too cold for anyone to swim in.

It was a place to sleep. Not a lot walking to get to your room. Linens seemed clean.

Could clearly hear people in next room. Breakfast was just packaged items that didn't taste very fresh. No juice offered only coffee.

Very good

I liked the location. Beds were comfortable and the room seemed clean. This is my second time staying here and I would choose it again.

The coffee in the lobby was never hot. I was told to microwave it in my room. We really disliked the tiny toilet !

This was a good value for the money. The outside and the lobby are a little run down but the rooms themselves are actually pretty nice. Because they have cheaper nightly prices than most hotels in the area, you are going to see the construction workers staying here. Overall, pretty good place for the money, outside not so great, rooms are better than expected.

Lot's of construction workers stay at this sight.
