Wonderful and historic place to stay in Silverton

Teller House is a wonderful place to stay in Silverton. Centrally located and they have everything you might need in-house. Shirley and Musse are absolutely wonderful hosts who will do anything they can to accommodate requests and insure the comfort of their guests. They are engaged and personable and they really made the stay a 10/10 experience. Blanca did a great job with housekeeping. They take very very good care of their guests.

They ONLY negative was that I stayed in one of the two rooms that use a shared bathroom that's located down the hall. I knew this at booking, so it wasn't a surprise. It can be tough though coordinating use with other tenants. That said, it was never a real issue and I would absolutely stay in one of the shared-use rooms again. Definitely NOT a deal breaker.

The place to be

Exceeded our expectations — perfect central location, the room was stylishly decorated, the beds were super comfortable, good water pressure in the shower, nice coffee bar options in the central area. Cool enough at night even during a heat spell so no need for AC. Run by a lovely couple. Would absolutely stay here again. We also really loved Silverton in general, far more than I thought we would. There’s so much more to see and do, from hikes to ATVing into the high country, so many great breweries and restaurants, you can’t go wrong.

Exceptional staff

The owner of the hotel is extremely nice and helpful. They've done an excellent job preserving the hotel. The shared restroom is only between 2 rooms so it's not really an issue.

The room gets really hot at night during summer since there isn't AC. However it is manageable with the fan they provide and by cracking a window.

Exceptional

Everything about the hotel was lovely, from the staff to the rooms. Everything was clean and the beds were super comfortable. We also appreciated the mini kitchen room with coffee, tea, microwave, toaster and ice machine.

Great stay in a place full of history

Fantastic stay at Teller House in Silverton. The property was really nice and has so much history, plus the staff were really friendly throughout our stay. Highly recommend this property for anyone who is passing through Silverton on a road trip like we were

Teller House has something the chain motels will never have. Character.

No breakfast but we don't care. Great places to eat within a short walk. No TV but again don't care, in fact prefer that. Excellent, friendly host. Comfy room on a freezing night.

very antique and rustic. made me feel I was staying in a room with back in the days theme. lovely stay. the host and staff are excellent. very attentive to minor details and also very courteous. will be back.

Superb

Historic atmosphere of the place creates a unique experience, while cleanliness and facilities were well kept and beyond expectations. Shared bathrooms are shared only with one room and kept very clean.

Not sure if it's because our room faced the main streets or maybe walls are thin, but we could hear noises of other people talking. The windows in the room can't be completely darkened if you're sensitive to light coming from the street lights.

This little historic hotel is an absolute dream, right out of a movie. Despite being very old, the Hotel is very clean and well managed. The owner is beyond friendly and extremely accommodating. The rooms are wonderfully decorated and it's a wonderful stay in Silverton.

There is no AC in the room. A fan was provided and with the windows open it was quite comfortable but just keep it in mind.

We’d stay at Teller House again and can’t wait to get back to Silverton.

Hotel hosts were exceptional, making us feel very welcomed. The hotel is well located in the center of town and the rooms were well appointed.

The street light at night shines into the room through the upper windows, making it difficult to sleep if sensitive to light at night.

Wonderfui feel of historic Silverton. Antiques but very comfortable and clean.

Street noises in front rooms on busy weekends could potentially be loud.. but they provided ear plugs! The town was not busy when we were there so it was quiet. One party down below was noisy for 5 mins. So I could assume the noise on busy days.

Very quaint, quite place.

Found a spy camera plugged into the electrical out let in the shared bathroom. Tried calling the phone # to report, but no answer. No staff to report it to. I took the camera, I have it in my possession.

Location was excellent. Room was very nicely appointed. The extras were a nice touch. Masks for eye and ear plugs, coffee, microwave available.

Please notify if you get stuck in room 1 or 10 that not only do you not have an en suite bathroom it is across the lobby! I would never have booked if I had known. Also the two rooms are facing the street and it is difficult to block out the light from the street lamp. We saw no one as a manager so there was no option to change. In this day and time you need to make sure people are informed of these issues.
