Quiet, secluded with good ocean view but...
Good, somewhat angled view of ocean, secluded/quiet. Good shower water pressure.
The primary view from inside is the sliding glass doors. The seals are broken and the glass is very cloudy. The bedroom sliding door has no rollers. Difficult to open. The beach access is down steep and treacherous steps. Not senior or child friendly. Despite many reviews complaining of the smoke stained walls and ceiling stains along the joist lines, owner seems reluctant to do the basic upkeep of some painting. Parking is tight, but despite a 50' driveway only one car is allowed. Aged kitchenware. No pot scrubbing pads.

overall, it was a great value and location.
quiet location. easy access to Newport, many good beaches and parks.
hair on the bedspread and pillowcases. ended up throwing them in the washer. I'm not a real picky person, but it probably should've been cleaned.

Perfect little getaway
This property was great. Perfect for the solo traveler or couple. It has everything you need. There were plenty of dishes, coffee maker, microwave, stove, fridge, hair dryer, towels, soap, washer and dryer, tv, sliding doors in the living room and bedroom to the small deck. There is a view of the ocean although slightly obscered by the house between it and the ocean. There is a path and stairs, which could use a little tlc, that leads down to the beach where very few, if any, people were. The location is just south of the airport and the Aquarium so convenient to the waterfront, south beach, Yaquina Bay lighthouse and park or south a little ways to Seal Rock/Waldport. The area was very quiet and cozy. The house also has a gas fireplace for those chilly nights or just to cozy up. The rate was extremely reasonable and no major fees. I will definitely stay again if it's available. The staff was very attentive and checked in a couple of times to make sure I was able to get in ok with the code and to see if there was anything else I needed.
The parking area is a little tight if you have a larger vehicle but they do tell you that up front. The bedroom curtains are a little thin so it gets a bit bright first thing in the morning but sun at the beach is always a good thing and motivation to get up and enjoy the day.

Lovely time capsule home near the ocean
A beautiful location surrounded by woods and close enough to hear the ocean. The kitchen was small, but adequate. The bathroom was a very functional original 1930s era bathroom, and the water pressure in the shower was amazing. Bedroom and living room were both bright with the sliding doors in both to a nice deck (although didn't get out there much because of rain). The gas fireplace was replaced with an electric one, which did a great job taking the chill off the room when we first arrived. The place was clean, peaceful, and just lovely.
The paint has some staining where the smoke from the former gas fireplace has permeated, so you can see where all the trusses are in the ceiling. It needs a new paintjob throughout because of the smoke staining from the old fireplace. The path down to the beach also needs a bit of a spruce up, that was an adventure.

Cozy home with ocean view
I enjoyed having have a kitchen to make meals, and the bathtub and shower water pressure were incredible! The beach access was tricky but not bad. House was cozy and I loved that I could hear the ocean.
Parking. The road down to the house is very narrow and so is the actual driveway. it made it very difficult to pull in and out of the driveway. Kitchen could be better supplied - needs proper cheese grater and at least one more wine glass (there was only 1).

I loved it and had a great trip, but also was frustrated with some things mentioned in my cons.
Beach Access only for the houses off that street was really nice (even if the steps/walk is a big sketchy). Beach relatively empty. View of the ocean, but out of the wind. Size for just a couple was just right, comfortable warm and high pressure shower. Had a deck to enjoy the views and sunshine (but see con). Had a fireplace (but see con) Neighbors were friendly.
Smelled like stale cigarette smoke which got stronger depending on the day/weather (I think it's in the furniture). Bad circulation for having fire in the fireplace, smoke alarm went off (yes the flue open but we suspect other's did not as there were dark marks on the fireplace stone from smoke, at least the fire smoke temporarily replaced the cigarette smoke). Stove's main burner not plugged in, looked broken. The rest of the burners are iffy but it worked for cooking our simple meals. Ceiling could use a coat of paint, you can see dark marks forming around beams and joints, probably from humidity (it's not soot as one review said despite the fireplace issues). Deck is splintering, I was barefoot and got a sliver in my toe. Only had one plastic love seat to sit on outside and the plastic table has a broken leg. We used our own chairs and our cooler for a table on the deck. Price was very spendy to have these things be issues, but the remoteness and private beach access kept me from giving a super poor review. It's hard to find a place where you can have your own beach almost that you walk to from your own rental.

Cute house but parking is a nightmare and the ceiling and walls were filthy.
There was smoke, soot, not sure which all over the ceilings and walls. I’m pissed that we were charged a cleaning fee that obviously will not go toward actual cleaning.
