Great room comfortable bed and kind staff. The he breakfast was the best of any hotel. No down side to staying here.

Personeel is heel erg vriendelijk. de dame bij de receptie is behulpzaam en erg aardig. Ontbijt is heel goed geregeld. In het pand zit Wendys en die heeft prima ontbijt wat inclusief is. De omgeving is leuk.
In het casino mag gerookt worden (zoals bij alle casinos) en die lucht is vreselijk.

I loved the casino/middle of nowhere atmosphere. The staff was super nice and the room was clean. The bathroom was a bit small but it was okay for one night! The Denny's breakfast was highly appreciated.

Very accommodating, good customer service, clean, remodeled room. Always enjoy staying here. Walking to Racks sports bar for a good dinner, one block away.
Bathroom is tiny and shower is old.

Historic property with a lot of character. Lots of memorabilia and historic photos of the region scattered around the hotel, including on room floors. Lots of murals depicting area scenery and history. The room rate includes a free bar drink in the evening and free Denny's breakfast in the morning. Decent wifi, great view from my room of the downtown area and surrounding mountains. A walk of fame out front shows famous names who have visited the hotel, including a former president, a former senator, and A-list entertainers. A handful of other bars/restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel. If you're a history buff, this hotel is a must-visit.
It's a casino, so the lobby/ gaming area has smoking. The bathroom was tiny, with no counter space and low water pressure. Not many outlets (the building does predate everyone having electronic devices, after all), so a power strip is recommended if you will have multiple devices to charge.
None of these things really detracted from my experience. In fact, they just made it feel that much more authentic, but I'm noting them so people know what to expect.

Older casino with character
Overall it’s pretty good

The staff was absolutely wonderful and we can not say enough about the way they welcomed and treated us our entire stay, grade "A" staff. It is winter so we got to park right outside the front door. Bed was okay. Breakfast was the value slam at Denny's, not bad but not great. It did the job for breakfast and was FREE so no complaints. Not a bad place to stay but certainly not what we expected when we booked a very historic casino that has had many prestigious guests from Wayne Newton to President Lyndon B Johnson. I did hear the owners are newish and updating is in progress. I really hope the do an amazing job because this hotel would be worth bringing back to it's former self. And we will come again when they have more time to fix what has been lost over the years.
The room and property could use some help. We had two rooms. My wife and I actually own a Motel so are kind of picky. We noticed right away the old and dirty bathtub/showers, we actually decided not to use them and wait until we got home to shower. Rooms are okay but not up to our standards at our motel, it did not look like they had been vacuumed at all. We found debris on the floors and bathroom floors need to be really cleaned, corners were not clean at all. Beds were nice and we do check for things before we sleep and all was good in our rooms, no bugs. Window type Heater/AC which works but not the quietest. We were in the front of the property and they play loud music on the street until late which was not great for us and since it is a casino area there was a lot of people out late being loud, not the motels fault but on the 3rd floor it was still pretty annoying. Widow blinds with curtains did not keep out the very bright lights from the casino signs out front from coming in the rooms. We most likely will pick another property next time hoping things are better. We will be traveling from Southern Idaho to Lake Havasu a couple times a year and Ely is right at halfway so it will be where we stay a lot.

le seul hôtel historique à Ely...tout est à l'avenant, y inclus un peu de vétusteté pour l'équipement.pour le petit déj, le couplage avec Denny's, moyennat voucher, est une très bonne idée

The hotel was right in the centre of town with plenty character. There was no problem parking around the hotelWe were offered a free welcome drink and a breakfast voucher. Breakfast was excellent. The decor reflected the history of the town and was very homely. I would definitely return given the opportunity.
The only comment I w would make is that the showers would benefit from being equipped with mixer valves. They do have notices up to warn that the shower temperature might not be stable. In the end it was not a problem and should not put you off.

The hotel is nearly 100 years old. It was loaded with nostalgia and memorabilia from 1930s and 1940s. The owner loves to talk about his hotel/casino. Breakfast was at an onsite Denny's.
Room was smaller than I expected and the bathroom was designed sometime in the 1930s and was very small. Hot water could change to cold in an instant withIf you'reout warning.

It was different to stay in a hotel that’s been around since 1929. Very well refurbished with a comfortable bed and great shower!

The breakfast was good the waitress was a little occupied with been crazy busy and of course last night dinner they had the waitress being the hostess the waitress the cook and the bus lady all in one because she said staff did not show up. We are sorry about having no staff to help a big party of four.
We had to have the maid come up and change the sheets because we found a bug in the bed and also somebody else's hair.

The room was bright and well lit. The bed was so comfortable and had nice thick pillows. The staff was friendly and I was given a voucher for breakfast at Denny's and a drink at the bar.
The bathroom was really small and so was the shower. The sink was too small to was your face. It was small and rectangular in shape and the faucet was in the middle, it made it hard to wash my face.

Quaint historical property. Lots of nostalgia. The breakfast option through the Denny’s restaurant attached to the hotel was a pleasant surprise.
Very small room and bathroom and having to walk through a smoky casino to access the stairs and elevator to the room.
