The location is perfectly, very close to the poblado park
Everything was fine

The rooms are really unique. The whole esthetic is unusual and cute. Its memorable. There was a hot tub in my room! The water isn't super hot but, you know, its still awesome. The attention to detail in decoration is charming. The place is kept safe. The staff are sweet people.
Room is very clean and towels and sheets are provided.
The location is interesting-- its tucked away quietly inside of one of the ultimate party streets in all of Columbia. It is on a street packed with restaurants and discos.
I'm giving them 9/10 because they hold up their end of the bargain and the price is more affordable than some of the inflated Pablano hotels.
Lleras Park is gross. Sin city but with enough saints to make it weirdly special. High end restaurants, boutiques, photo ops, and all night discos, yes. But the downsides--
You cannot bring a guest to your room. This is the case all throughout Lleras Park and maybe other places in Medellin too. Most or all of the hotels around Lleras have this policy. Any guest must pay full rent to visit.
This is due to what's going on outside. There is a TON of drugs and prostitution woven into the greater neighborhood. That is not the hotel's fault, but you should be aware. Never leave your drink unattended, for real...

Location is excellent. It's loud from street noise but that didn't bother me. For light sleepers it might not work.
The power went out 2 of my nights there which meant no wifi, no recharging phones, no tv, no fans, no lights, etc. etc.
Clearly not ideal and hope they have that transformer fixed so it doesn't blow again.

Breakfast is only two hours in the morning. The personal visitors' policy is terribly unfair; it doesn’t mean extra guests in the room. I mean that if you want to have a visit in your room, even if it is for five minutes, it’s impossible unless you pay for an extra person in your reservation.

The location.
The breakfast was terrible. The room was tiny and extremely stuffy. It look like a place where people come just to spend one or two hours to do "their business"

It’s cute and it smells good. That’s about it.
This hostal is on the loudest street in Medellin, and some of the rooms are directly on the loud street. It was fine during the day, but once the sun goes down you can hear the music from 15 different establishments blasting all at once. Bass shakes the windows when they’re closed and drunken screams emanate from the walk street outside until 3 am. The room gets stuffy and has a smell of damp mold if the windows are closed for too long, so that’s what you sleep breathing. If you decide to stay here, confirm that you will not be in room 4 or 5 because those windows open directly on the noisy party street.

Rooms are nicely decorated and the location is super convenient! It has a nice balcony/terrace area. That's about it!
The staff unlike said in the description doesn't speak English so hard to communicate! They shout at midnight down the hallways so you can't sleep or get woken up by them. You have no choice for breakfast, they bring you what they want, taken it or leave it... And it's terrible. We are vegan/vegetarian and in 4 days we had 1 pancake! That's it! The cleaners actually left our room keys in the door all day (with our things inside) because they couldn't get the keys out after cleaning our room..anyone could have gone it.. unbelievable! They eneded up changing our room because they couldn't get the keys out and they gave us a room with no wifi and no Ac! The spa bath is a great idea but it takes 1 hour to fill it and half way you ran out of hot water so either you use half a bath or you have cold water. Pointless in my opinion

Decent room, cleaned every day, great staff.
The room facing the totally noisy street. The main purpose of booking the room is to have a rest and good sleep during the night which was just imposible. The music from many bars and restaurants was such loudly that any rest was imposible.

The room was named after the Guacamaya bird. To emphasize that, the walls in the room were painted by hand with several colorful birds of that species! There were also beautiful and decorative lights!
Everything was just fine 😊 The staff made sure that I had breakfast each morning either served to me in the room or upstairs on the open air terrace which provided a view of the street below. The terrace was also hand painted with a garden design.

Horrible place to stay. On the busiest street which means LOTS of noise all day and night.
We booked the nicest room and it was still terrible. Bed is absolutely horrible, the shower knobs barely work, we didn’t have sheets when we got in the room. No bath mat. Last but not least, the fire alarm beeped every 30 sec which drove us nuts. We kindly asked when it would get fixed and the staff was just not understanding what the problem was. Mind blown how bad this place is. Don’t get fooled by nice comments. Avoid this place unless you want to ruin your time in El Poblado. We left after less than 24h and went to a different hotel.
Everything ??

Nice big room for money
You have to pay with cash or incur %5 card penalty which can be a lot.. Annoying that you have to be let in/out of the building

The one star in the staff is for jessica.
This accommodation is really not very recommendable.
I would like to document everything a little more precisely:
On February 19, we checked in for 4 nights. The lady (Jessica) at the front desk was very friendly. When we saw our room, which had neither fresh air or sunlight, we briefly considered checking out. Since we had already paid we unfortunately decided to stay. The next morning there was another lady at the front desk. We asked in Spanish if there is a Pablo Escobar tour. The lady reacted very grumpy and said that she doesn't know what we want. Even a photo of a flyer didn't help her. She just said "no" and typed something into the googel translator which we unfortunately didn't understand at all because it didn't make any sense. We ended this project. In the evening when Jessica was back we asked her and she gave us a flyer with almost 10 different tours.
Now to the kitchen: It is a disaster. There are very few cooking utensils and they are very dirty. You have to clean everything first. The first day we asked Jessica about salt and oil. She gave it to us. The oil was already there on the second day. The next day Jessica handed us back out of the locked box. Finally day 4 - everything was ready and we wanted to start cooking. There was no oil. At the reception again a new lady who did not give us the oil because the guests were not allowed to use it. We asked politely and mentioned that we always used it. She remained stubborn and said no.
Internet: In our room the internet hardly worked or not at all - in a big city like Medellin I would think its normal to have a good connection.

The breakfast was good.
From Sid: I feel that the property is being used for sexual tourism. One evening when we came home, there was a very young girl, dressed very prettily, standing in the hall while a man and a woman talked in the room across from us. Then the woman left the room and the girl went in. Since we had a shared bathroom and shower I was able to see the girl in the morning. She looked terrible, and sad. Then at breakfast she was with a man and a woman. She seemed like she was 'high' so she looked happier. I asked her how old she was and she said she was '18'. Having children myself, I thought she was no more than 14 or 15. After that the man left the table and left the hotel. This girl was not their daughter, nor their sister, nor their niece. I had a very strong feeling about what was happening. I know that this takes place in hotels in Colombia and I feel it is my duty to report it, as I feel Bookings.com should report it. I had noticed police hanging around the hostel sometimes so perhaps they have their suspicians as well
