Excellent location, value for money, lovely large rooms, humongous beds. I accidentally left my creditcard behind and staff made arrangements to send it on to our next hotel wonderful service i am very grateful

Cel mai bun hotel de pe Railay!!! ❤️

Micul dejun ok. Mâncarea foarte bună si personalul foarte de ajutor. Dar pt noi rămâne hotelul preferat de pe Railay!!! Cea mai buna poziție. Chiar dacă ar mai trebui făcute ceva renovări în baie, nu o sa scadem punct pentru asta, pentru ca iubim Railay!!! 🥰🥰

Une usine a touristes

Notre bungalow tout en bois très joli était à l écart ,donc vraiment pas bruyant.Les singes par dizaine qui passaient devant notre terrasse.Un lit confortable .Lorganisation pour notre transfert retour.

La connection internet qui est vraiment moyenne, le wifi saute très souvent .Complexe hôtelier immense ,très impersonnel .Odeurs d égouts a plusieurs endroits.La queue le matin au petit déjeuner .Le personnel est au bout de sa vie.Le fait de devoir tirer ses valises dans le sable a l arrivée ,c est assez difficile ,personne n est la pour vous aider.La première piscine est propre mais juste devant la plage donc bruit des longtails toute la journée et l odeur qui va avec.Il y a beaucoup de monde.les gens se ruent sur les transats .La deuxième piscine était moyennement propre.Et la 3ème était opaque nous n y avons même pas trempé un orteil .On ne voyait pas le fond!!!

Localisation sur la plage, proximité du port. Personnel accueillant

Chambre un peu vieillotte. Pas de contrôle des serviettes à la piscine principale : à 7h30 déjà plus de place, et pourtant quasi personne sur les transats. Une surveillance serait bienvenue

Alright resort in great location but needs work

The room was big and cleaned every day, bed large and comfy so had a great sleep. Air-conditioning worked well although a bit noisy if left on overnight. We were given a room near the pool, restaurant and beach so great spot.

It did smell of sewage outside but this seems a problem in Railay overall - same in shops and restaurants area. We could see broken fences in the resort with rubbish and debris dumped - again the smell was bleh. Plants and trees need watering in dry season - didn't see it happen so many looked dried out.

Excelente hotel num ambiente paradisiaco.

Os bungalows era em frente à piscina e eram divinais. O pequeno almoço era em frente à praia. Tudo excelente em relação às acomodações. Nunca utilizámos o serviço de almoço ou jantar porque iamos sempre numa rua cheia de restaurantes bastante baratos comer. Os empregados era muito prestáveis e simpáticos.

Do lixo que se acumulava na praia, garrafas, latas, sacos, imenso lixo. Acho que os hoteis deviam juntar-se e promover a limpeza da praia. Também não gostei do exagero de barcos que se acumulavam em frente à praia, quando na parte de trás existe um cais para esse fim. Uma pena.

Location, location, location with breakfast and chairs overlooking West Rsilay beach

Funky pond along the path of bungalows. It might breed mosquitoes and doesn't look nice.

Great, family friendly stay in Railay West.

Zou er niet nog een keer heen gaan.

De locatie van het hotel was goed.

Personeel zeer onaardig. Voedselvergiftiging opgelopen en uiteindelijk het eten moeten betalen. 2 dagen in het ziekenhuis gelegen. Niet kunnen genieten van het verblijf. Railay zou ik niet aanraden tenzij je van reggea muziek houdt en de hele dag blowen. Dit is wat je hier heel veel ziet.

It was okay stay

You can arrive the hotel either from the east or west pier. I suggest arriving from Ao Nam Mao to Railay East if you have luggages(easier to go in and out of the longtail boats). Reception was also in the east side, so it was an easy check-in. We were brought to our rooms with buggies. Room was huge (got a sunset wing cottage), with a nice bath and a shower. There was no problems with hot water when you want to fill the bath and shower after or vice versa. There are beach towels, umbrellas and beach bag with a beach rug in the rooms which were quite convenient.

Our room has a connecting door to other room and sound proofing was not good. The baby next room kept us awake all night, which was bit unfortunate for us. The west part has the nice pool, however so many long-tail boats arriving from west for daily tourists making a lot of noise (&smell). Thankfully huge part of boats are gone around 6 o’clock and the beach clears up. I suggest going to Phra Nang beach, no longtail boats, nice beach for a swim and a walk. Its 10-15 min walking distance from the east part. Breakfast was not the best, but also not horrible. They have nice egg station, and nice fresh fruit. Coffee was bad. The rest of the buffet also have a lot of options but the hotel was bit slow to refill the empty foods. The restaurant has some higher prices on food & drinks and taste is okay. You are quite close to other places to eat& drink so thats not a problem.

Really nice resort right on both west and east Railay beaches.

I was a little hesitant to stay at Sand Sea Resort after reading some negative reviews, but I am really glad I did. I do take most reviews with a grain of salt. I found everyone at the resort to be very friendly and helpful. The large deluxe room with a balcony was really nice, with a comfortable bed. There is a shower and a separate bath tub. Beach towels, bamboo beach mat, and a mesh bag to put those in were supplied, along with a couple of flip-flops which I didn’t use. Bottles of water given daily. It is a large resort, going from east Railay Beach to west Railay Beach. The A/C remote wasn’t working so I mention that to the front desk and in a few minutes someone from maintenance came to replace it after checking out the A/C. The breakfast buffet was good, particularly the tasty Thai food. The restaurant is right on the west beach, and the pool on that end is right next to it. Sand Sea has its own long-tail boat to transport guests from/to Ao Nang pier. Cost is the same as a public long-tail boat. I love the area and would stay here again.

The wifi was extremely bad as I was able to access it a couple of minutes at the most, and unable to the rest of the time. There should be a warning or disclaimer regarding the horrible connection.

Very comfortable and enjoyable.

We didn't believe the first room we were in was very good especially considering we had booked for a 5 night stay. We initiated a move to another room after our first night. We were happy with that room. It was much better. On the whole we enjoyed our stay and thought the breakfast was very good. Also we found the staff to be friendly and helpful.

W naszy pokoju ktoś wcześniej nasikał w kącie, musieliśmy go zmienić.

Wszystko oprócz ogrodu, pokoje są obrzydliwe. Jak sprzed 30 lat. Standard PRLu bez remontu. W nocy nie dało się spać, klimatyzacja ma dwa tryby. To po prostu syf.

Good value and stunning location

Resort is in amazing location right next to the most stunning beach. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The bungalow I stayed in was large and clean with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was good and the restaurant is right on the beach.

The room was a little tired and needed painting, also smelt of damp.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, very comfortable stay

The room was very clean, the bed was firm but comfortable and (most importantly) the aircon worked superbly! All rooms are close to pools, the beach and you're only about a 5-10 minute walk from the main shopping/dining/drinking area (if you don't want to eat at the resort). There's no alcohol at the resort but all the bars are just a few minutes away so it wasn't a big deal for me. Staff were always friendly, courteous & happy to help. I really appreciated being able to use the shower after I'd been rock climbing all morning & had checked out on my last day (it's about a 15-minute walk to Tonsai for climbing).

Everything worked fine but there were a few very minor maintenance items that could've been done e.g. the wardrobe door was broken, and some of the grout in the shower needed fixing. Very minor & had no impact on enjoying my stay but they probably should be fixed.

Exceptional

We loved our stay! We were a bit concerned about the weather prior to arrival (in early August) but we saw no rain at all and the location was absolutely stunning. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the huge rooms were great value.

A stunning location.

The perfect location, the transfer was seemless, loved the tractor! The staff particularly restaurant staff were lovely. The rooms once we were moved. Originally in one of the older rooms, they were not what I expected so we moved. The newer rooms are lovely and large with great balconies. We had monkeys, monitor lizards outside our room and the sweetest kitten wandering around giving free cuddles.

The older bungalows. They are not as I expected. The lighting some parts of the path was dark and my son got scared. Some extra lights are needed not many or it would spoil the ambience.

This is my second time that I’ve chosen to stay @ Sun Sea Resort. There is no other location in Krabi, that can compete

The gardens, the villa, the swimming pools, the beach, the location, the staff (very kind and attentive).

The property is understaffed and poorly maintained. Rooms are pretty old and worn out .. needs urgent refurbishment, but for the price paid is a good compromise.
