Poor service, disappointing experience

The convenience of the location, undoubtedly the Dorsett’s only highlight.

I had a very frustrating experience at the Dorsett. Upon arrival, I was assigned a panoramic room where the electric blinds did not close and the heating system was completely inoperative. At approximately 11:00 PM I reported these issues to the reception, and after a 30-minute wait, I was initially informed that a room change would be possible. However, after another long wait, I was told that no alternative rooms were available so I had to sleep in that room and was offered a money compensation for the inconvenience. I kindly refused to have a sleepless night, and surprisingly, upon my insistence, they later found a room, but it was an accessible room of a significantly lower category than the one I had originally booked. They further informed me that, due to the room change, I would no longer be eligible for the promised compensation. After insisting on being given a Deluxe room, which was what I had paid for, I was finally relocated at 1:00 AM (two hours later) to a new room that was not only much smaller but also noticeably less clean than the first. I was then reassured I would still get a compensation. However, to date, I have yet to receive any form of compensation or refund, despite the promises made by the hotel staff. In conclusion, the overall experience - ranging from the quality of service to the state of the facilities - fell far below expectations.

Perfect stay for events & shopping

It was the perfect location for the Shepherds Bush 02 for events as it is a stone throw away. Always perfect for shopping as in very close walking distance. The hotel & our room was very classy & clean. Staff were very helpful & friendly.

There was nothing we didn't like.

2nd time stayed here. Location near to underground and Westfield when visiting London.

Breakfast room located in central lobby very tight and ran out of basics after 1 hour. 1st room for family was dusty smell reception changed the room after some push. Unable to open windows throughout all rooms. Hotel needs an upgrade as expensive accommodation for quality offered. .

Excellent location for those going to the O2 Shepherd Bush but don't expect any frills.

Proximity to the O2 Shepherd Bush theatre. Check-in was quick & efficient.

The bar lacked choice & the staff were disinterested verging on rude.

Uma decepção em Londres

Começamos por chegar ao hotel por volta das 11h30, onde não encontravam a nossa reserva, após várias vezes explicar que tinha duas reservas no mesmo hotel mas com data de check out diferentes lá encontraram. Deixamos as malas com o concierge até aí tudo bem. Saímos e voltamos por volta das 17h fizemos o check in e ainda cobraram á parte o serviço de limpeza dos quartos, na qual ainda aguardo a factura pois no booking informa que as taxas já se encontram todas reflectidas no preço. Á primeira vista quando entramos no quarto estava tudo bem, começamos a desfazer as malas, onde me deparo que para 3 pessoas só existia 1 par de chinelos e um roupão. Dando mais umas voltas no quarto ao lado da mesa de cabeceira estava tudo sujo de café, a carpete nem tinha sido aspirada e havia lixo por baixo do móvel logo na entrada, o espelho do roupeiro estava sujo. Viemos para baixo e na receção informei o que se passava e sugeriram a mudança de quarto, mas a atenção do staff ao detalhe não existe pois tinha reservado um quarto duplo e com cama extra por sermos 3, com vista para a rua principal, o quarto que nos atribuíram foi um quarto com duas camas single encostadas uma à outra,em que a minha filha que dormiu no meio quase caía entre as duas, uma casa de banho minúscula com fraco aquecimento, chuveiro sem pressão, com vista para as traseiras da entrada do staff do hotel ao lado, não se preocuparam em preparar o quarto para 3 pessoas, pois nem toalhas para todos havia. Pedimos pequeno almoço incluído na nossa estadia, que por si só deixa muito a desejar na escolha já para não falar no espaço apertado do pequeno-almoço onde as pessoas tropeçam umas nas outras, bem como o cuidado do staff na apresentação com as camisas de aventais todos amarrotados, bem como no cuidado e limpeza do espaço, estando as mesas sujas com migalhas, apenas passam o pano e empurram-nas para o chão.

Ok but could have been better

The location and the common areas of the hotel

The room was looking inside the hotel (closed area above the breakfast area with glass ceiling). This had the problem that the windows could not open and even if they could there would not be any fresh air possible in the room. In addition very long queues in the WE for the breakfast and not enough tables. 2 out of the 3 days although breakfast was prepaid I had to leave without breakfast.

Nice is you are going to a concert at O2 Sheperd's Bush Empire (it is just next door)

The room was amazing, the shower was really nice and the bed was comfortable. Staff was great and they gave us a couple of vouchers for free drinks.

Room windows were really small.

Good hotel to stay, pleasant staff

The classic room is large and and the bathroom has got a shower and a bath tube. There are shower gel, shampoo and body cream dispensers in the bathroom.

It was really too hot is the room and was not able to change the temperature. I was unable to empty the bath tube as the tap seems to to be stucked. The scrambeld eggs at breakfast were not appetizing (they were grey ?!!!)

The hotel looks beautiful, I loved the reception and the bar area. The room was pretty spacious but the bathroom was tiny. The bed was really comfortable and we slept very well also, it was very quiet at night. The location is amazing, there is a bus station just outside and the tube station is close as well (3 minute walk). There are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops near by. The Westfield mall is close as well. I appreciated the hotel's facilities - free WiFi, free bottled water in the room, tea, coffee, iron, minibar etc. Overall a good experience.

I didn't enjoy the fact that the room didn't have a window that could be opened. There was a funny smell in the room, damp. The AC didn't work properly, it just made a lot of noise and the smell from the AC was quite bad. The bathroom had a semitransparent wall and that was a minus. I don't want to see the person inside taking a shower, it's just tacky. The bathroom was really small as well. When we checked in the receptionist asked for 30 pounds more than the price on booking. I asked booking customer service beforehand if we have to pay anything extra and they said no, at the reception, we've been told that we have to pay a service charge and we will get the money when we would check out. As a person who doesn't live in the UK, we should have been informed about this. Overall it was a good experience but not for a 4 star hotel. The staff needs more training and especially the cleaning staff.

Great Hotel But Big Let Down

Good location but needs improvement

Great location for the Empire.

TV didn't work in room. 2 reception desks. 1st was for conference room or something like that. Asked the guy can I check in here as other desk was checking in someone and other staff member was on phone. He was curt and uninterested and told me to go to other desk. He and 2 other colleagues then just carried on talking, doing nothing.

A clean room, but that's it as far as what was good. For us, the location mattered as next to the 02 empire.

The hotel will add on charges for breathing if they can. Extortionate bar prices and surprise added service charge for someone carrying over two drinks. An intermittent high-pitched noise near our room woke us during the night. We advised the receptionist, who just shrugged her shoulders...tough luck for £400

Hello! my hotel arrival was a complete surprise. first the reception had chosen a very small room not really clean, plus with key trouble, soon a staff came to help me out. very tired and disappointed.. I have a meeting with work colleagues in the bar. return to my room while my husband bath the power went off and we were in the dark and my husband frozen 🥶. it brought me to panic state . I went to the the manager and I told him I was to take those happenings in my lawyer hands.. suddenly they found a open apartment room in the hotel new building. it was a pleasant surprise. much space an comfortably we stayed for 10 days, friendly staffs apologies and the bad impression and happenings was forgiven.
