The Ledges -a Great Getaway

The Ledges is a fantastic choice for a relaxing getaway. Everything was provided for us to enjoy our stay. A quick stop at the nearby supermarket to pickup our meat and veg was all we needed. Kitchen utensils and cookware are provided, or use the large BBQ grill. The location provides great views and is in a great location. Lots of open spaces, easy parking and kayaks/canoes to use at your leisure. Even fitewood and kindling are provided. The furniture is comfortable, including the bed. The shower and bathroom were clean and top notch. Although right next to a marina, there was very little noise - only just enough so you knew boaters were on their way to enjoy or returning after a day on the water. Our visit was on par with premier hotel services but with the better views. The bonus was having our dog - that made it all the more special. Oh! And the staff were responsive and friendly. Voice or text, they are quick to respond. We will definitely return. Thank you Ledges!

Relaxing getaway

A beautiful setting with views of the castle, lighthouse and main channel, new modern cabins with high level amenities, and outdoor space with grill, firepit, and plenty of seating surrounded by flowers and seasonal decorations.

An Awesome Anniversary Getaway

The location and staff was awesome. Had a chance to speak with Nick, the owner, who was very pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed the conversation of the Ledges Resort history. Beautiful location and grounds. Loved the small cottages setting and scenery.

exactly what I was looking for

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ledges. We rented a small cottage. It was right by the lake and was very nicely decorated. It had a fully equipped kitchen and nice comfortable bed. We had an issue with TV not turning on but the owner was very responsive and it was fixed by the morning. There was a nice clean gas grill and fire-pit for each unit. everything was so clean and it felt like home. I am looking forward to come back again.

We experience some issues regarding small flies inside of the unit especially in the kitchen area. we could really eat or drink inside due to flies coming on foods and drink. I guess it can be expected since it is close to river but I think it would be nice to have bug zapper or sth.

Fabulous cottage

The cottage was extremely clean , loved the design and spectacular views of the water. It was a perfect getaway place for 2 nights. Definitely will be back. Thank you

Nice spot to stay if visiting Alex Bay.

Nicely appointed 3 bedroom cottage NEAR the water. It included a outdoor fire pit which was refilled daily. Dave the groundskeeper was friendly with info about the area and did a great job with making the grounds look Fall like. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked up with new towels, mugs, glass ware and plates. The place was clean, deck looked newer.

The position of cabin was well away from the others and their was a very DISTANT view of the water. Mattress was very hard in both of the bedrooms we used. Window sills need refinishing. The property itself is showing a bit of wear ( garage out the back door was about ready to fall down....boarded windows etc) We are walkers and did not feel as though it would have been an "easy hike" to town.

The property was lovely, close to town and well appointed. There was everything one needed!

The Heron Cottage and the grounds were beautiful and were very conducive to a relaxed stay. We had our two labs with us and they were happy with the grounds to walk and the cottage.

Only a couple things like more forks and sharper knives, but honestly, I'm not complaining!

Exceptional

Great location and quaint cottage on the marina. We were moved to an even better chalet on 2nd night that had a full kitchen and sitting area. Just beautiful even in the rain.
