About this villa rental

After the animation of the ocean beaches and the basin of Arcachon, relax in our spacious villa classified 4 stars, for 12personnes equipped with a heated pool, with swim against the current, small bath for children, It is located and 100 m from the coastal path and the oyster port of the Rock. The kitchen, 20 m2 is equipped with a stove that will allow you to cook for the whole household. The large living-dining room, library and TV, communicates with the veranda and a terrace with pool access. Part of the garden is shaded and hosts a table for meals in the shade of the oak.
Barbecue, plancha, garden furniture, sun loungers, parasols. The 5 bedrooms, all upstairs, are spacious and all have a balcony. A bathroom, 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets equip them. The dimensions of the beds are as follows:
- room of 18 M2 (bathroom and WC adjoining)), 1 bed in 160 and 1 bed in 90.
-bedroom of 14 m2 (bathroom -WC): 160 bed
-bedroom of 12 m2 (1 sofa bed comfortable 2places convertible
- suite of 40 m2 composed of 2 separate rooms with bathroom and toilet (1 bed 160 -2 beds 90 = an extra bed)

The house, located on a plot of 1200 m2, has a secure parking by an automated sliding gate, This parking can accommodate 3 to 4 cars. The entrance hall, distributes on the left, the living room dining room with access to the kitchen and the veranda. A staircase leads to the bedrooms, all upstairs.
The kitchen, 19 m2 is equipped with a gas stove that can cook for the whole household, an American fridge, central island, old buffet, and opens on the outdoor terrace itself equipped with a table and chairs garden (barbecue and plancha available). From the terrace access to the heated pool is direct (deckchairs, parasols).
A veranda of 20 m2 can serve as a dining room for cool summer evenings;
The lounge-library with 2 leather sofas and armchairs welcomes the viewers (flat screen).
A dining area is equipped with antique and contemporary furniture. A fireplace is available.
The rooms upstairs all have a balcony. Three rooms are equipped with beds in 160, the fourth of 2 or 3 beds in 90, with bathroom or room of water and particular toilets adjoining. The two rooms of the family suite share a bathroom and toilets.

The house was very spacious and well equipped except for the lack of a grill but we managed to get by without one. The mini apartment was very useful for our daughter with small children. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We were joined by our daughters their husbands and two grandchildren for part of our stay . The pool was a great place to play although it wasn’t really deep enough for a serious swim. It was in a quiet location and the garden was well screened and private. The beach at La Hume was about a 15 minute walk away as were the local shops and restaurants and the station. If you don’t want to drive everywhere it was simple to go by train up and down the Bassin d’Arcachon.

We were an extended family party of 6 adults and 5 children aged 5 years and under. The home was absolutely ideal for us; spacious bedrooms, good living spaces very well equipped throughout and a lovely pool and garden. We chose to bring a second cot and high chair because we had 2 infants aged 10 months. The pool was ideal for young children and well secured to keep them safely away from it when not in use. At first we were slightly concerned that the property wasn't near enough to either local shops or the beaches - but in fact it was no problem to use cars to get to several different beaches nearby and the shops of La Teste de Buch. Arcachon and its surroundings are splendid for beaches, activities, cycling and relaxing. We spent 2 weeks there and thoroughly recommend it.
