Nice but a bit low effort

I liked that the staff was nice. The rooftop terrace is also very enjoyable. The kitchen was spaceous, had everything you needed and was always clean. Nice guests, no problems, quiet place, everyone more or less minds their own business :) I also let my stuff unlocked as well as my roommates and nobody stole anything. The neighbourhood is cool, more residential than tourist, I liked the El Palo playa, also lots of nice pubs and bars along the beaches.

It looks pretty low effort. Even the terrace looks like it could be in a better condition, so do the rooms or the shared areas. Its not bad, but compared to other hostels I’ve been it’s just giving “low effort” vibes. For instance, they sell coffee capsules for a Nespresso machine for 1 eur. When I asked for one, they had only one box with espresso capsules of a 10 intensity. Such a small investment as buying more types of coffee would matter.

Bem perto da praia, mas comodidades deixam a desejar

Escolhi ficar em um local próximo à praia, e de fato, o hostel era bem próximo. Há pontos de ônibus bastante perto para que se possa facilmente ir ao centro. O quarto é agradável.

O banheiro me incomodou muitíssimo; era escuro e estava sempre bagunçado e com mal cheiro, além de ficar no meio do corredor, de modo que poderia ser facilmente acessado por um homem (mesmo que por engano). Precisei trabalhar por um dia e a experiência foi bastante ruim; não havia tomadas próximas às mesas disponíveis e a internet não funcionava bem. Fiquei em uma cama superior - mesmo tendo passado um dia sozinha no quarto - e a experiência também não foi boa; além de não haver tomada acessível, a cama balançava com qualquer movimento, o que me deixou bastante insegura.

Recomiendo!

Es un lugar agradable, cálido, con espacios tranquilos para disfrutar, cómodo para habitar. La ubicación esta muy buena, cerca de un centro de muchos comercios y cerca de 2 playas lindas. Con buen acceso en transporte publico. La pasamos bien, muy tranquilas. El personal tambien super amable, el recepcionista con muy buena predisposición.

La ducha es un poco resbaladiza.

Un lieu de vie à l'abri de l'agitation du centre ville

L'emplacement était parfait (à 30 minutes du centre ville en transports). L'hostel est très bien aménagé et est un lieu de vie où on peut facilement discuter et faire connaissance avec des personnes des quatre coins de l'Europe. Notre hôte Johnny est là pour mettre tout le monde à l'aise, toujours avec une petite touche d'humour. La terrasse sur le toit est un beau plus, elle permet de se ressourcer à la lumière du beau soleil de Malaga.

They made me rush to check out an hour before what was listed for check out. Then tried to hold me up to get my passport Information because no one was there to gather it upon check in.

One of my favourite hostels

I love everything about this hostel. This was my 3rd stay. The location is fantastic if you want to be near beautiful beaches and away from too many tourists. The facilities at the hostel are excellent, it's always well maintained and very clean. The vibe on the communal terrace by the kitchen is lovely. There are always interesting people to chat to if you want to. I'm sure I'll be back again soon.

I normally stay in a shared dorm and wear earplugs, so I've never before noticed the noise from the traffic through the night. But this time, I stayed in a twin room and didn't wear them, and it was incredibly loud outside. I would definitely recommend earplugs. The showers could use a small shelf in each cubicle so that you don't have to place your toiletries on the floor.

I will definitely have very fond memories of this trip and will return

The biggest credit here belongs to the owner of the hostel - Johnny. It was thanks to him that we felt not like guests but friends. The atmosphere in truth was very warm, and Johnny was always very helpful. He is the type of host who unexpectedly brings a big bowl of home-made sangria in the evening and makes sure 10 times that everyone definitely got a refill! :) Very good soul. The building itself is 15 min by bus from the center, which can also be reached by city electric bikes, or rented classic ones from the hostel. The rooms, despite their proximity to the street, are soundproofed, clean and cozy. I sincerely hope to come back here in the summer and be able to use the pool and sunbathe on the roof terrace overlooking the sea and mountains! ;)

Lovely hostel and friendly people

Beautiful and comfy little hostel away from the city centre. Friendly and helpful manager; people taking care of the hostel clearly had great standards and love for the place. I stayed in the female dorms which had a lovely private little terrace, a lot of light, and only 2 bunk beds and a double bed so very roomy. Really felt homey and super comfortable (probably the brightest room I've ever had in a hostel)

There were no chopping boards, tea towels, and it could do with some more pots to cook rice/pasta, but it was only a slight hindrance

Loved my stay here! Definetely coming back one day

Had a great 4 nights here. Location is great, with the beach on a 5 min walk and public transport to Malaga in front of the door. Felt very safe. Host Johnny is always around, a great guy who is always in for a laugh!

Everything was perfect. Not my first stay here, abd I will come back. Large kitchen, many terrasses, very clean, friendly staff. Very close to the beach, to the shops. When one night it was a bit chilly and we don't want to warm with air conditioner, duvets were delivered immediately. Very positive after taste.

A bit slippery in the showers area when wet. Please be careful.

Clean and good value for money.

Spacious clean room. Basic. Very comfortable bed. Access to kitchen, bathroom and roof terrace. Small living room. Luggage storage. Friendly. 5 min walk to beach. Right next to a bus stop into the city which took abt 10 minutes.

Explanation of how the induction hob worked in the kitchen. But once I asked we got assistance.

microwave did not work. bunk beds were very shaky. I had no sleep due to bad bed I could have been put in spare bottom bunk in room to assist this issue.

The staff were very welcoming and very nice! Everything was clean and the place were quiet Best location as right in front of the bus stop to the center (1.40€) I strongly recommend it!

Nice budget place near the beach

Nice location, near the beach and not far from Málaga

The showers don't have lightening, and not the easiest way to shower and keep our clean clothes dry considering it is communal showers.
