Vi kommer gjerne tilbake.

Rolig og fin plass, pent anlegg. Herlig restaurant, med hyggelig betjening.

Det står at det skal være handikap vennlig, noe som ikke stemmer for man kommer ikke frem med rullator eller rullestol over hele anlegget. Det er ikke rekkverk i trappene og ikke støpt trapp i bassenget med rekkverk.

Location is perfect , directly on the beach and near bus station, my kids have enjoyed the pool and access to the beach, the restaurant is also good with delicious food They used to clean the room daily except sunday

We booked the semi basement apartment, it had some old electrical outlet in the wall that can be risky for kids if the touch them

The restaurant was great for the notorious service but the food had little to do with quality Cretan or Greek food.

2 relaxing days in Crete

The apartment complex was well kept, tidy and clean. The location is lovely. The restaurant has fabulous food, is family owned and the staff are all lovely.

Small issue was if you want a hot shower have it during the day as there is no hot water after dark or early am.

Could not have asked for better.

Excellent location, not too far out of the city, sufficient amenities in walking distance, easy to reach by bus, taxi and car. The beach is a few steps from the room, the view was amazing. Restaurant FANTASTIC!

Very nice, large and comfortable apartment with terrace and sea view. Just steps from a great beach. Nice restaurant and private beach in front. Quiet room and friendly staff. Good blackout curtains.

Stunning daytime and sunset views. Gorgeous spot to kick back and relax.

Beautiful hotel and location - directly on the beach. Very comfortable room and bed. Helpful and sincere staff. Hotel restaurant service was very good along with the food!

Bad lighting (many bulbs burned out) and the drain plugs were broken in the tub, bathroom sink and kitchen sink.

Lovely family friendly hotel right on the beach

The room was perfect for us as a family of 4..the sofa beds turned into singles so everyone had plenty of room. Super clean facilities. Lovely pool and tasty restaurant with gorgeous sunset views. Bus stop to Chania just outside the hotel. Lidl in walking distance and lots of other useful facilies all around...no car necessary. The hotel has direct beach access and the beach is a clean, gentle bay with a gradual slope so perfect for kids to play.

2 very small criticisms...the sunbeds on the beach cost €10 for a set of 2 + umbrella. Seems a bit mean to charge hotel guests but seeems be the norm in Crete. Reception staff are friendly but not very helpful when it comes to enquiring about day trips or travel arrangements.

Very good

Nice place located in a small bay Next to few other interesting beaches. Helpfull and friendly stuff, very clean expecially the common areas. Swimming pool was also a great point.Room was made daily.

If you take the basement room you ll face a bit of umidity and smell

Beautiful place in a great location

We really enjoyed: excellent location, directly at the beach in a beautiful bay. Very clean and well maintained, probably renovated not long ago. Very nice cleaning ladies. Ideal for families with young children. Calm area.

We would definitely come back and we really enjoyed. Still some small things to improve: the equipment of the kitchen is not sufficient. Shouldn't be a problem to provide a towel and a sponge for the kitchen or to keep the salt and pepper of the previous guests. There is a "warm" host missing. Probably it is not a family business.

we had the best room with the biggest balcony overlooking the sea. just divine ! also the restaurant is one of the best in all of Chania - with the friendliest staff - we are there many times .

Nice smaller hotel right at the beach

Hotel is located right at the nice beach, great for kids, sea is quite shallow there. Also you can reach a couple of close by beaches easily if you'd like to change the scenery. There's a lovely restaurant where you can have any meal and enjoy the view, very good food and service. The pool is smaller but nice and clean. Bus stop and taxi station are right around the corner, as well as a nice small park. There's a small shop where you can buy almost anything. Our room was exactly like on pictures. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Golden Bay and would come again. We arrived early in the morning but could check in straight away as our room was already prepared, special thanks for that!

Shower is quite tiny and having at least some kind of cover would be nice. Sunbeds at the beach are paid also for guests. We were a bit sad about it. Especially when you have a small child, you spend just several hours there.

We had never been to Crete before and this holiday was a wonderful experience

The location of the property was right on the beach as expected. The complex was beautiful and very clean. Our apartment had the best view overlooking the sea. It was well equipped and very clean. The on-site restaurant was outstanding, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.

It would have been nice to have a toaster in the kitchen

Less than ideal but not terrible.

Lots of food options around, easy beach access, cooking facilities, nice view, ample space, and clean.

Unfortunately, our stay was less than ideal due to a few issues. Our air conditioning units didn’t work for the first two/three days (we were only there four days) and this resulted in two VERY uncomfortable nights sleep, as it was too hot to have the doors closed and we were ravaged by mosquitos. While I understand that this was not the hotels fault, as the technicians couldn’t come to fix the A/Cs till later, they didn’t remedy this in any sort of way except giving us a bottle of wine; no fans, updates on fixing the problem, or compensation.

The restaurant is the real diamond. The way restaurant staff look after their guests is just OUTSTANDING !!! Always with attention to details and very very friendly. We will definitely come back ! Thanks again to Christina and her lovely family

What a relaxing break

Lovely place right on the beach with everything you could possibly want either literally on your doorstep or within easy reach. Sunsets from the bar were to die for. Staff were super helpful. For anyone worried about logistics of testing in a post covid world, reception arranges for a local doctor to visit to do your test. Great service all round!

Relaxing

Superbly located with very friendly staff, who stayed late on a Saturday evening to handover the key when out flight was delayed. Situated on the best side of a sheltered beach, with an amazing family run restaurant - with excellent food and service. WIFI strong enough to support work meetings on Teams. Easily walkable to Chania Town along the beach (45 mins).

It's hard to find fault with this aparthotel. The only problem is it's situated in such a lovely neighbourhood (mixed tourist and residential), that it is a disincentive to travelling around the island. We will definitely return to this property.
