Amazing weekend away.

We loved the retro feel and that it was in the centre of the old town which is perfect for food and drinks. The owner was lovely and even allow us to extend our stay for the day for a late check-out. We have already recommended it to our friends as everything and I mean everything is on the door step with free parking.

I wrote this before but needed to make this clearer. There are no real negatives but only suggestions. We would maybe suggest a welcome note, which can explain to guests how they would like their well-loved property to be maintained, this could include information on what is around with local knowledge of streets and places to visit that fit the retro holiday. We would like to suggest a shower curtain for the amazing rain shower as we were not sure if the water is okay past the shower base which happens when you shower. One thing we did find difficult was finding a mirror that was near a plug socket, we were not sure if we could move the mirror. We ended up doing our hair blind. Now this doesn't impact us personally but we did notice some cobwebs in the lower parts of the property.

The perfect place to stay in Hastings

Perfect spot for visitng Hastings. It's in an amazing location and with parking. We was welcomed with sweets and chocolate, a small prosecco and a beer in the room. It was amazingly decked out and was just perfect for a little weekend away. Would 100% recommend to anyone wanting somewhere to stay in Hastings.

Even though there is parking, it can be a little tight and scary maneuvering. Otherwise it has no faults at all.

Could not fault a thing. Booked as a surprise for my partner and he too was blown away. Amazing apartment, equipped with all you could possibly need and more. Thank you for your part in an amazing weekend in Hastings.

Atmospheric location at the centre of the old town

The atmosphere was great and the location is amazing: right in the old town area of Hastings, close to the best cafes and the most amazing quirky stores. Also really close to the train station and Hastings Castle. The hosts were very kind, accommodating, and hospitable.

While there was heating on in the flat, we felt like it didn't quite compete with the cold, stormy February weather...

Fabulous apartment.

what can I say? What a find! Just a little gem of a property. You can’t help smiling at everything about this apartment. Took me right back to my youth. Thank you for the Babysham! location is excellent & parking a bonus. We travel to Hastings a few times a year to visit family & will definitely stay again, loved our stay.

Best weekend of my life

There is nothing I could add to Retro Retreat to make it better. We had the best time ever, in a groovy, tasteful, and every so comfy place. It also happens to be located minutes away from about the coolest place in the UK. Old Town Hastings is beyond charming and we have discovered a new favourite place. Cannot recommend this enough. I want to move in tomorrow!

Brilliant

The best place we ever stayed. Perfect location, cosy feeling. The place looks like a museum and has many hidden treasures. At the same time, it makes you feel like at your dream home. It was worth every minute and pound we spent there. P.S. The reason for our trip was to get some rest from 2 beloved cats. We ended up having morning coffee at a terrace with a sea view and a lovely feline asking for cuddles. Cat didn't belong to us. Just perfect!!!

Quirky fun studio

Loved all the 1970 memorabilia took me back to my childhood fantastic views over the rooftops to the sea really enjoyed sitting drinking a glass of wine just enjoying the view and listening to the not too noisy noise of the old town Sweets were a real treat. Location was perfect with an easy walk to the old town with all great shops and eateries had really nice fish and chips and steak whilst there. Shower was really good and loved the bathroom floor made of old pennies

We love Retro Retreat

Absolutely exceptional accommodation right in the heart of the Old Town. If you love retro and very cool original places to stay, the Retro Retreat must be the best place in the land. Really easy to find, free parking which is a huge bonus and even drinks in the fridge upon arrival. We can't wait to book again for the next time we are back in Hastings.

Superb

Bonkers but fun place to stay, great view of Hastings and of the sea. The 1970's Retro vibe is inspired. The room itself is a little odd but the attention paid to the decor makes up for everything. Great location - a stone's throw from Hastings Old Town, but still very quiet. Lovely to have breakfast outside in the sun while looking at the sea.

I loved the view, the seagulls, the facilities and location.

Nothing much it was a bit noisy at night up to 11 but not a problem really.

70s 😊

Nice location not far from beach and restaurants (sadly closed for sit in eating) Was warm and quiet. Just like pictures very 70s orange!

Was a bit unsure as to location but just follow road to end through gates to what looks like private house which is the host’s house and apartment is right next to it.
