Edelweiss is a lovely 2 acre country home on the banks of beautiful Smith Creek, just 3 miles from downtown Wimberley. This spacious home is great for families or friends with an open layout and custom kitchen. The home boasts 2.5 baths, 3 bedrooms (king, queen, and two bunk beds), plus a large game room with a pool table and 2 additional twin beds. The large fenced yard is great for kids and pets with horseshoe pits, a badminton net, fire pit, hammock, picnic table, expansive deck and charcoal grill. The home backs up to Smith Creek with a scenic view of the creek just below the backyard and lovely stone steps down to the water. We think you'll love this house!
The name Edelweiss belongs to a delicate white flower made famous in The Sound of Music. From the morning songs of the
chirping birds to the evening orchestra of the frogs and toads along the creek, the Hill Country is definitely alive with the sound of music!Enjoy the creek behind the backyard, watch the deer graze as you sip your morning coffee, strum your guitar beside the fire, challenge your friends to a game of pool, have a family BBQ on the gorgeous back deck, snuggle up by the fireplace, or lounge in the hammock. There's something here for everyone!

We are environmentally conscious and offer a level 2 EV charger, recycling, compost, eco-friendly soaps and cleaning products, recycled paper products, and a reverse-osmosis filtration system for drinking water.

Pet Fee:
Our pet fee is $50 each for friendly, leashed pets. Please declare pets at time of booking (max 2 pets without prior approval).
VRBO NOTE: Vrbo only charges one pet fee, so a 2nd pet fee will be added after booking, if applicable.

Creek note:
Smith Creek is a spring-fed year 'round creek, however creek levels and flow can be affected by periods of drought. When full, the creek is great for swimming directly behind the house and is about 5'-6' deep. We cannot control nature, though, and cannot guarantee that the creek will be swimmable during your stay. It's an amazingly gorgeous spot no matter what the water level may be!

Loved this house! The layout is perfect for a little separation between the rooms. Nice kitchen, furnishings, and plenty of yard space! Just a few miles from tons of restaurants and shops and wineries.

No view of neighbors in the back - just a creek. Volleyball net, fire pit, horseshoes, good charcoal grill. Pool table and games inside. Our family with dogs loved it. A house was being built across the creek on a hill. It’s almost a half mile away. No bother when complete.

This is a beautiful property with a great location. All the amenities are very well thought out to easily entertain the whole family. It has very comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. We would love to visit again!

My family found the house easily and with plenty of parking. The property was clean and inviting. The interior common areas were bright and spacious for family gatherings with plenty to do. Outside had a fire pit and horseshoes which we loved but with our short stay did not get to take advantage of. There were even dog towels for the wet paws and dog treats. The owners were very accommodating and responsive to our questions/requests. Would stay here again, but for a longer stay.

This house has it all! Plenty of room for everyone, games, pool table inside and outside volleyball and badminton! A grill and picnic table on a patio with twinkle lights. You can walk down to the creek from the backyard and sit on the bench to relax. Beautiful!

The home is beautiful, well kept, and has all the amenities needed to have a great time. The house is only a few miles from downtown Wimberlwy so it's very conveniently located. Fenced yard was so convenient and helpful.since I had my two dogs with me. Net in backyard for badminton and volleyball. Horseshoe setup too. Game room fun with extra refrigerator, smart TV, pool table, puzzles, some games. All light and fan switches labeled. Bath towels luxurious. Loved that recycling and composting on site and encouraged. Only downside is the house is on a busy road and traffic noise is audible. Didn't disturb sleep though, it became background noise. Driveway has turnaround space so that it's not necessary to back out onto the road.

Home was just as pictured, so much fun playing badminton and fishing in the creek. We gathered around the fire pit every night and looked at the stars. There was plenty of room for the kids to spread out when needed. Great property

My family loves this house...it's perfect for us. We love the backyard and all the activities it offers. Jennifer and Greg made significant changes since we were there last, with major upgrades to the bathrooms and bedrooms. My 87 yr old father very much appreciated the removal of the bathtub and installation of a walk-in shower with handicap access. He felt safer, which brought all of us peace of mind! Thank you Jennifer and Greg for being great hosts!

We had 3 generations gathering. Loved the kitchen and the screened porch ewe had space to be together and space to be in smaller groups. The backyard and hammock were a hit with my gggrgranddaughters

This property was the absolute perfect location for our family trip to the Hill Country. The large, fenced yard was a great find for those traveling with pets and we loved the outside lighting, grill and fire pit. We visited the town square, Gruene and Canyon Lake and all were within reasonable distance. No issues but the property managers were very attentive to questions. If you like to cook like we do, the fully furnished kitchen with everything needed to cook full meals was a nice surprise! We loved the game room, double fridges and roomy living areas. So many great things about this property...Pictures don't do justice!

Having postponed reunions during COVID we had our first in person gathering and Edelweiss was absolutely perfect. Lovely, spacious, and well appointed the property met all expectations. We would return!!

My group of friends came to Wimberley for a girls’ trip. The house was perfect for our needs. We had enough space and enjoyed the backyard and the game room. The driveway was a little hard to find driving at night, but after the first night, we were able to find it easily.

We stayed here to celebrate a 30th birthday and had a great time! The house was cozy, clean and very spacious!! Living room was great for visiting, the rooms had plenty of space for our party and the added room with the pool table was great!! It was chilly when we visited, but the outdoor area was beautiful, and would be great to spend time on the porch during a warmer season. Definitely would stay here again!

This home is definitely made for get togethers with great areas to gather and enjoy each others company! From the spacious kitchen, living room area, game room, screened porch, and outdoor area with fire pit. Close drive to many amenities. Outdoor area great for wandering around in peace and nature. I recommend for any gathering!

My parents joined my husband and I and our 10 month old baby and dog for a 5 day stay at this property. It had a great location near the blue hole, well stocked kitchen, and comfortable living area. Really appreciated the blackout shades in the bedrooms for our baby. The river access was super close though the water was low because of the drought. We didn't mind though! Communication with owners was super easy. We'd definitely consider staying here again.
