About this cabin rental
Located on a quiet country road, this pet-friendly (pet fee applies*) cabin is less than five miles from eight of North Georgia's best wineries and wedding venues, perfect for a weekend getaway or for some time away from it all. The cabin is in Lumpkin County near Dahlonega, and is less than 20 minutes to Cleveland and 25 minutes to Helen.
This cabin has a very quiet, peaceful setting, and White Dog Farm, which offers horseback riding lessons, is only a quarter mile down the road. Whether you’re here to hike to see one of the many nearby waterfalls or mountain views or just to sit by the fire roasting marshmallows, this is the place for you.
The cabin sits on a seven-acre tract with shared access to a playground and creek. Outside amenities include a six-person hot tub, a large wrap-around porch with a beautiful pavilion, as well as a gas and wood fire pit.
The cabin is very charming, with its rustic exposed beams and hardwood and knotty pine floors. It’s cooled by a ductless wall unit in the living room (which is adequate for the entire cabin) and ceiling fans, and is heated by the ductless unit and the propane fireplace.
Guests have access to the entire cabin and property. The playground and field area are a 325 ft walk through the woods from the cabin and are shared access with the other cabin on the property. The dog pen is private (not shared), and is 20 feet from the cabin. We are available if needed.

We enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful property, pet friendly, just needed more seating but otherwise it was great!

First, very easy to book and kind property managers. Second, location is basically like beinf on the property. Less than a mile from Neverland. Absolutely perfect for the Bridal party to get ready prior to the wedding and stay the night. The back deck is the cutest! Loved the setting and everyone thought it was perfect. If you are considering for bridal party, a close get ready place, or even for the bride and groom for the night of the wedding it works! Thank you!

Property management was
Friendly and accommodating. Cabin was clean and taken care of.
Would only recommend a dishwasher (although I know due to plumbing that may not be possible) so quests don’t have to wash dishes, but other than that factor I loved the property, location, hot tub, fire pit and wonderful and accommodating property management.
Great property!

So much fun, great space, everything you need is right there and the cabin is so cozy!!!

We rented the cabin for our son’s wedding nearby. Other family members stayed at another cabin next door which made it very convenient for everyone. The fire pits, in both the front and back deck, made for a relaxing evening. The property and cabin itself were impeccably clean and all of the mattresses were unbelievably comfortable. I just wish we had more time to stay and enjoy everything. The only thing I would have recommended was to have live TV versus just a Smart TV, however we were aware of this when booking. The host was very quick to answer any of our questions and very professional. I give it an A+.

Perfect big little cabin!
Our family of four, along with our two dogs, just spent three nights here in celebration of our twenty year wedding anniversary. It was beyond perfect for our family. We didn’t even realize that there was a huge (and super cute) new dog pen area. So impressive! We were out exploring the nearby towns and trails a lot, but our time spent at this cabin was perfect.

Quiet Getaway
Great location. Nice area for those with young kids. We enjoyed the playground, deck, and fire pit. No dishwasher or washer and dryer, which we knew before booking. The property had an accurate description. Owner was very easy to communicate with!
The only con, if I had to come up with one, is that there wasn’t anything other than a dish rag to wash the dishes. The corner market didn’t have any either. The soap wasn’t great so I’m not sure how clean the dishes actually got when we washed them before checkout.
Great little cabin!!

Long weekend in Dahlonega
The Little Big Cabin was everything stated in the description and pictures, and more. It was clean on the inside and out, very well maintained, stocked with all of the necessities. It came with specific instructions on all of the electronics, the hot tub, how firewood works, etc. Matt was super responsive via the VRBO app. We will definitely be back!

Perfect little cabin
We used thus cabin for a mother daughter getaway and it was perfect! The cabin was in a beautiful area and perfect for kids and adults. The location was great because there were lavender farms and other local farms to visit nearby and it was also super close to downtown Dahlonega and downtown Helen. The owners were so quick to respond to any and every question I had. They also leave clear instructions for everything in the cabin as well as check in and check out.

I first want to say I typically don't leave bad reviews, and I hope this leaves no hurt feelings, but will maybe help improve this listing. I book often through VRBO, and have always been impressed with our stays. I was SOOO excited about this one as it was in a cute little cabin with everything we wanted. When we arrived in the cabin it was super clean. It was a rainy chilly day so we tried to get the fire place to work.. even with all 4 of us trying and re reading the instructions over and over again, it would not work. The firepit was our next go to.. we looked high and low in the cabin for a lighter and not one to be found. I contacted the owner and he was very prompt in coming and helping, and left us with a lighter, but it even took him a few tries to get everything going. The dishes were old, and the pots and pans felt like they were going to bust at the handles. The description says "dishwasher" but the only dishwasher was ourselves. There wasn't one. Our second day there I killed 5 wasps in side, and there was also bugs in the cabinets. No paper towels were included, and I felt there was bare minimum essentials.* FOR THE PRICE* we paid. I like to book through these sites as they usually include everything you should need except food. On a positive note, the hot tub was nice and clean, the beds were super comfortable, and the water got nice and HOT.

Great Cabin
Great place!!!! Very quiet and beautiful. Hot tub is in the front so you can see people and cars going by. It would be nice if it was in the back or some type of privacy screen was around the hot tub. Other than that it was Great.

Perfect family getaway
This was the perfect place for a 4-night stay in North GA. We were looking for a pet friendly cabin close to Helen with a hot tub and a fire pit. This place checked all boxes and some! The cabin was clean, easy to find, and fully equipped. Beds were actually super comfortable and the kitchen was pretty well stocked. Our only challenge was limited storage for unpacking our luggage (which didn’t make or break our trip at all). There’s a great little path down to a huge field with a playground and horse shoes. Things not to miss: Anna Ruby Falls and Dukes Creek Falls for hiking, the Georgia Mountain Coaster in Helen, and Nacoochee Outdoor Adventures (skip the tour and just do the 1/2 mile zip line). We had some INCREDIBLE sushi at Spice 55, and some decent takeout from Clyde’s Tavern. We will definitely return to this location.

Great getaway
Property is a greatly get away. Nice and quiet. Hot tub and the covered gas fire place hangout are amazing additions. Road leading up to the property is lose gravel/ rocks and is the only worry depending on your vehicle.

Quiet & Relaxing
We had a great time at this quiet and relaxing cabin in the woods. Really enjoyed the nice deck and communal playground. Great area for a family. We had a fire, made some s’mores, relaxed in the hot tub, and visited Dahlonega and Helen. Very clean and nicely stocked.

Cozy cabin for a relaxing getaway
Our family of 4 had a great week in this cozy cabin. Location was great for us while we hiked and chased waterfalls for the week. Our kids loved being able to go down to the playground and the hot tub was a great way to end the night. Comfortable beds are important to me and everyone slept soundly. A great week away!

Weekend Trip
We had our first trip as a family of four; my husband and I plus our 2 and 1 year old children. It was a great open space for them to play. We enjoyed the wrap around porch! It was an easy check in and check out process.

Relaxing, cozy, well appointed cabin
The cabin and grounds were precisely as described on the website. It was very cozy, plenty of room for a family of four with two young children. It was exactly what we expected and more. The outdoor living areas were particularly nice. The kids looooved the hot tub and the playground nearby. This probably isn’t an ideal location for those who want to step out of their cabin and immediately be on a mountain hike. But for those who want a quiet respite in a picturesque setting, this is a great place to stay. I’m sure it’s near many places to hike and visit, but we didn’t get out much so I cannot speak to that in this review. I can also say that the owner, Matt, was incredibly nice, and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Everything Perfect!
Myself and some friends were in town for a weekend on the trails in the local park. We wanted to be close to the woods and close to Dahlonega, and this spot was perfect! We loved the hot tub, the location, the cleanliness, the big porch, the kitchen - it was all perfect! The mattresses were comfy, and I loved having extra, cozy blankets. Can't think of anything I would change. I even enjoyed a nice walk down the road.
Communication with owners was fast, polite, and great. They even helped with some last minute requests! Would definitely stay again.

Cabin in the woods
Nice little place. We had 4 adults and two children for the weekend. Lacked indoor places to sit while eating but that is a small problem. Back in the woods from the main roads.

Nice weekend get away but could be better.
It was small and quaint but we had issues with rain water coming under the bqck door qnd the door gaps allowed for bugs to get in and surprised us every morning. The fire pit was nice and the hot tub. Nice weekend.

What a mess!
Our youngest son became ill about 12 hours after "check-in" and then shortly after our dog. We contacted the "owner" to see if we could vacate and get a partial refund. He said that unless we had insurance or left immediately and IF he was able to be rebooked then we wouldn't get anything returned. Not wanting to be out 900$ we stayed. They don't inform you that coffee costs extra, fire wood costs extra and propane costs extra [and they request cash to be left]. Trying to avoid paying them more $$ we bought our own firewood and cooked over the fire, unable to cook the rest of our groceries without the stove or grill, we started to look at the pots/pans/dishes. Everything was disgusting and covered in grease, bugs, or old food. The propane tanks for the grill and fire pit were empty and then almost empty. There were no paper towels or trash bags; they did bring us bags and thankfully we brought our own extra paper towels. The shower curtain was covered in black mold, the toilet had lines of grime around the bowl, the house was surrounded by active wasp/hornet nests, the kitchen was covered in fruit flies upon "check-in". The lamp in the master did not work, the red refrigerator did not keep food cold and had ice left in the freezer. We mentioned the dirtiness of the cabin to the owner and he made the excuse that "the previous renters had been on the property for 60 days and 3 hours was not enough time to clean properly." My husband informed him that was not our issue and then I pointed out that I booked on June 12 and was told there was no renters at the time for the day before our arrival. I had previously checked to rent June 23-June 26 and it was vacant, but discovered our calendar from work was not open so we changed our proposal for July. Therefore, this owner also lied about the previous occupants, for whatever reason I do not know. This cabin was covered in cobwebs and infested with spiders; the air conditioner and fans were covered in dust. An absolute nightmare for allergies and sinus issues since cleanliness seems to be the least of their concerns. My husband tried to use the grill but because it had not been properly cleaned out it was engulfed in flames shortly after and had to be put out with a fire extinguisher. I do not know who has the job to maintain the playground, but it was covered in spider webs and nests as well. Backdoor & windows all unlocked upon arrival and we just walked in. I have pictures of all claims.

Perfect getaway!
This cabin was absolutely perfect just as described in the listing. Close enough to be able to enjoy town, hiking, and kayaking but far enough away to enjoy our peaceful retreat in the evenings. Matt was easy to communicate with and everything is set up in the cabin along with a great little pocket of useful information during our stay. I have already suggested this property to a friend to stay in! We will be back hopefully sooner than later. Thank you for a great stay!

Surprise for Mother's Day
This boutique cabin is very nice. I surprise my mom, for mother's day! I also brought my teenage daughter with us. We grilled, at night my daughter made us some s'mores and enjoyed the hot tub..I would highly recommend to stop at the gas station (shell or chevron) to purchase ice before you arrive. Ice was one item we forgot to purchase before we arrived, at the cabin. It's very secluded you may not want to leave back out, when you get to the cabin. Also, dont forget to bring paper towels. We did remember to bring plenty of those..Love that bar area!! Thank you to the owners! This was great escape....
