Wonderful house with lots of bedrooms, baths, a great room and a game room, space for everyone!
This great home was featured on HGTV's Island Life show! The 5 bedroom home has 4 full baths, is comfortable and spacious for all, and has beds for 16 guests! Perfect for multi-generation family vacations, or multiple families vacationing together. Enjoy the large sparkling private pool (heating is optional) with nice landscaping, covered back patio with lots of seating, large back upper level deck, and front balcony, all only 1/2 block from the beach. A short 2 to 3 minute walk. There is even handicapped beach access if needed for anyone who might need help getting to the beach! Check with the South Padre Fire Department about borrowing a wheelchair for the beach!
This two-level home is not only half a block from the Gulf of Mexico, but is also just a short walk from restaurants, a grocery store, shops, recreational outfitters and nice clubs. Only a few minute walk to the Wanna Wanna Beach Bar and Grill, Kelly's Irish Pub, Parrot Eyes Restaurant Bar and Water Sports, and Coral Reef Lounge.
Enter on the bottom level into a nice game room with a ping pong table, TV, DVD player and lots of movies. Watch the kids swimming in the pool from the large windows, or join them through the door leading from the game room to the backyard. The lower level has 3 bedrooms in total, two spacious bedrooms, one with two queen beds and the other with two sets of bunks, both rooms sleeping 4. These two rooms share a full Jack-n-Jill bath with bathtub and shower. The third bedroom on the lower level is a small bunk room that sleeps 2, perfect for kids or grandma. If your family includes a baby, there is a Graco pack-n-play in the downstairs closet that has the movies. The laundry room is downstairs too, with a new, large capacity size washer/dryer set. Find lots of beach towels, and extra bathroom towels and bed linens next to the second full bath on the lower level. Enjoy the new 8" rain shower head in the walk in shower that full bath!
The second floor has a spacious great room with two leather sofas, and a large sectional that provides seating for 12. Plus a large TV with cable and internet. The house also has free Wi-Fi for the guests to enjoy. The upstairs great room works well for entertaining large groups, and includes a dining room table that seats 8, as well as a kitchen counter bar that seats 4 more. Your family and guests will enjoy home cooked meals in the well appointed kitchen. There is a large pantry to store everything you need, and a dishwasher to clean up after the meals. The Chef in the family will enjoy the charcoal grill on the lower patio, while guests can sit right outside the great room on the large upper level deck that overlooks the pool.
The second floor also has a guest room with 1 queen size bed and 1 full size bed, sleeping 4, connected to a full guest bath with walk in shower, which has a new 8" rain shower head. The master bedroom is also on the second floor, having an on-suite full bath with tub/shower (with new 8" rain shower head!) and a queen bed with a foam mattress topper. A door leads from the master bedroom out to a private balcony on the front of the house. Enjoy your coffee or tea and watch the sun rise from your private balcony.
New AC units installed up and down in July 2019 keep the house cool. This house also has a one car garage to house your car and all the beach items. We provide a wagon, cooler, chairs , boards, beach towels and toys for the beach. There is parking for four to five more cars in the spacious paved driveway under the huge palm trees.

Arrived at 4:30. Check in was at 4:00. The pool guys were still there cleaning the pool.
Their truck was in the middle of the driveway, so we couldn't park our vehicles until they finished and moved. One of the pool guys stated that we could not utilize the pool for two hours. That was a bummer.
We were all planning to unpack, and hit the pool within about 30 min after arriving.
Informed the host, Lori Wolfe on Sunday, and she explained that they were new guys.
We specially chose this house because of the private pool in the back yard. Paid alot money for two days, and that was the only downfall. Maybe the host will compensate us with some type of refund due to this unfortunate incident. Nice beach, but we had our hearts set on swimming immediately in that amazing pool.

The condo was large enough for all 13 of us, and there were extra beds. There was plenty of space for everyone. Lots of restrooms. Super convenient to the beach and great parking.

Very impressed! House was amazing. Tons of room for all of us to sleep and/or just hang out. There were 13 of us ranging in age from 6-70, 3 families of 4 and me. The heated pool was a gigantic hit as it was a little chilly at the beach. Tons of beach and pool toys. The 2 wagons were very helpful transporting all of our chairs and things to the beach. The family LOVED the boogie boards!!! The ping pong table got lots of use as well. All in all, this was a fantastic home to stay at. Thank you for providing everything we needed. We had a wonderful time. I seriously cannot think of one thing I would complain about. We would absolutely stay here again!!!

Was very impressed with the property

We stayed for 4 nights. It rained for 2 of the days. Kids had fun playing ping pong. It helped keep them entertained. We didn’t get to use the pool because of the rain and cooler weather. The bedrooms and bathrooms worked out great for our group of 7 (5 adults and 2 kids).

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The location is great with the beach only a half block away and a convenience store a block away. The house had plenty of room for our group of 9. We really appreciated the heated pool, having lots of towels, and all the beach supplies. The host was friendly and quick to respond.

The house was as described in the listing. All the amenities that a large family or group would need. There was close access to the beach which we enjoyed. We all enjoyed the pool as well. The neighborhood was quiet as well. We will definitely look into this house again next time we stay on the island.

Location and home is great. Kids enjoyed the pool. The shower in the master bedroom doesn't work. Bring your own towels the ones provided are very old. . They also need new bedding and pillows.

We had a great stay! We had issues with appliances but made due! Lori handled it quickly and as best she could. The house is great size for a big family and thee are lots of bathrooms! Beach is so close and we enjoyed playing during the day and the beautiful sunsets in the evening. My niece wished there were lounge chairs by the pool . And my husband wished for a larger grill. But would definitely recommend the house to family and friends! South Padre Island is a great beach getaway!

The proximity to the beach was excellent. The pool was great. The house, towels, bedding, and walls were very dirty. The “white” towels were yellow, or black and were crusty. Surfaces were sticky. The bedding (pillows) had an odor. Some pillows did not have pillow cases they just had shams. Upon pulling comforters off there was hair on the sheets. The bedding on some beds appeared to have not been washed. This is very concerning to me because of the times we are living in due to Covid and other germs. The walls were stained. It was so unclean that I chose to shower with flip flops. When I talked with the property owner Lori to let her know the condition the house was in and that we were leaving a day early (we only booked 3 nights) because as a family we decided we would rather lose a day of vacation than have to stay in such a dirty place she did not have much to say. The lack of cleanliness really impacted our stay as a result we left early. I would not stay here again. If this were my first time renting a property listed on VRBO I would never have considered this site again. Fortunately, prior to this we had a VRBO stay at another beach location a few years prior and had a fabulous stay. However, in light of the times we are living in I am concerned if we property owners are throughly cleaning their properties.

I had an amazing stay easy to check in only probably is I had to check in one hour after I was supposed to because they had another family stay I bit longer but discounted the 50 for the heating pool due to the fact that they had me check in late and the wifi was not working so I wasn't able to log in my laptop

Great location for a quiet getaway
The property was located in the quieter eastern part of the island, 2 minutes walk from the beach, had warm water pool, well equipped kitchen and a very responsive host. We enjoyed our stay. Especially in the era of social distancing, one can only hope to get a property like this. Perfect location for a family who would love to enjoy the beach away from the rush and enjoy pool time!
