Lively property with great views of the sky. I am an amatuer astrophotographer and this was an ideal spot! Cabin was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the hot tub at night.

Had a Magical Stay at Isabel's beautiful home! Everything was perfect and there wasn't a need for anything as Isabel is the most accommodating host I have ever encountered renting through VRBO and others! The cabin is perfectly secluded and provides the much needed getaway your soul craves from your busy life! Our dogs thourougly enjoyed running the property and the hot tub under the stars with the snow flurries was breathtaking! Asked to stay another day but sadly she was already booked! Wouldn't hesitate to rent again with Isabel ! Thank you to our amazing host! Some people really know how to host!
With thanks, Bea, Paul, Molly and Casey !

Beautiful property. Felt like home, especially since we have the same kitchen cabinets at home. Nicest hot tub I’ve ever used. No chemical smell or burning of eyes. Simply an awesome house!

This is my second time staying here and it was just as relaxing. If you are looking peace and quite this is the place! It is even better than the pics. We just sat on the porch watching the day go by...

The pictures do not do this this place justice. It is so peaceful! Every detail has been covered. I am already thinking of booking our next stay.

The description of the property and amenities offered doesn't prepare you for the thoughtfulness of the host and all that is offered. We loved everything about the home but especially the view!! We would definitely stay here again. Worth every penny!

If you’re looking for a beautiful home that’s got all of the amenities you could ever want and still allows you to unplug and get some much needed R&R this is the place!!!
The Mountain View’s are breathtaking and can be enjoyed from the Hot tub or the partially covered porch that wraps around the home.
If I could give this property and it’s owner six stars I would. We had a much needed relaxing weekend stay and would love to go back

Very peaceful location on lots of land and completely private. We enjoyed the walks on the mowed trails through fields of purple flowers. The mountain top view is spectacular, and the breeze kept us cool on some of this summer's warmest days. The kitchen has everything anyone could need, and our adult children enjoyed playing ping-pong in the basement.

Weekend Getaway
Very nice property. Enjoyed the summer nights outside and the privacy of the location. Property and surrounding country side is beautiful. I know in the sheets it says that two hands will be needed to turn top nob in upstairs shower but it got to the point where I could not turn it any. Other than that a really great experience! Thank you for sharing you wonderful house.

Feb 25th - 27th stay
Fantastic experience for a ski vacation. Everything was easy to use and instructions were clear. The amenities from the hot tub to the kitchen were wonderful. One thing that I will note is that the water had the smell and taste of sulfur. I know it has to do with the well water so I don’t know how to address it, however, I think future guests should be made aware of this such that they can buy bottled water if they wish ahead of time. But other than that, we had an excellent stay!

House that has it all
This is our second stay and are never disappointed. Isabel is a super host. She provides a lot more than any home we have stayed in. Her property is beautiful and secluded yet minutes to town if you need anything.
Just pack your clothes and some light meals.
If you are looking to just get away and relax this is the perfect home.
Thanks Isabel!!!!!

Great getaway
Beautiful property, cozy cabin. House was clean and well stocked. Plenty of towels, linens, pillows, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, coffee, spices, wood, fire starters. Owner goes above and beyond to provide extra amenities. We stayed over a cold and snowy weekend. Really enjoyed the wood stove, sauna and hot tub. Definitely need 4WD vehicle in the winter. Not far from small town with restaurants and groceries. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing time!
We had the best time here! My friend and I had a wonderful time, the property was so clean. There was a lot of things we didn’t expect in the cabin as well (spices for cooking etc) the place was very well maintained! We did get locked out but that was our fault but the neighbor Ralph was so nice and came straight to our rescue. We would defiantly recommend this place to anyone else!

Perfect locale for anniversary getaway
We absolutely loved our 4 days in this cabin! We celebrated our 20th anniversary. It was perfect!
Listing accuracy: Pics and details don't do it justice. There is so much more! The place is beautiful and well stocked. Whether you want to grill, hot tub, melt smores on the fire pit, or cook a fine meal... the cabin has everything you'll need.
Comfort: The living area and porch are especially comfortable.
Amenities: WiFi was very strong and reliable. Hot tub was great, but start heating it up a few hours before you plan to use it. (It is kept at 80 deg between guests.) The hot tub was great for starry night soaks.
Property: Beautifully nestled on a grassy hill. Tons of wildlife. Very well maintained.
Communication: Easy and complete from start to finish. Isabel was awesome about providing information. Directions in the house are very helpful.
Location: Centrally located amount plenty of small towns for exploring. Salem, Greenwich, and a score of VT towns are easy to explore.

Peaceful Getaway
We found the cabin to be clean, cozy and a great place to explore eastern New York and western Vermont. The fire pit was put to good use and we enjoyed walking the property to explore the beautiful surroundings. When arriving on the first day, we were greeted by 3 deer lying in the grass. They visited throughout our 5 day stay along with tons of different birds. Isabel was great to work with and we hope to visit again but for a longer stay.

Fantastic cabin
What an amazing place to stay! Hot tub was lovely, the pinball machine was fun, and we played tons of ping pong. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed. I also like the safety-oriented touches throughout: flashlights on many tables, laminated instruction manuals, and even laminated directions to the nearest healthcare center. The showers in this place are amazing. What a great place!

Cute cabin on gorgeous property
My husband and I rented this cabin for our anniversary getaway. When we arrived, the cabin had not been cleaned. Thankfully, all the cleaning supplies were easy to find! We cleaned for about 2 hours when we got there, vacuuming, mopping, cleaned the toilet, wiped down the counters/cabinets/windows, and then we were ready to relax! The cabin is well made, with attention to detail throughout. The property was gorgeous, with walking trails in the fields that we enjoyed hiking. The hot tub was very nice! The jets, lights, and everything worked, plus it had an awesome view!! We visited a winery and ate lunch in the Colored Slate Belt Capital. We enjoyed the peace, quiet, and tranquility this property offered!! It was just what we needed to recharge!

Quiet relaxation
I visited the area from not too far away for a local golf tournament. I spent 2 days at the house between golf and enjoyed it very much. The hot tub and sauna were great and the views are amazing. Especially this time of year in the morning, drinking coffee on the porch with the cold, low lying fog at the mountains. Can’t wait to return with my wife for a nice quiet weekend getaway.

Magnificent weekend
Absolutely beautiful views and a clean house with plenty of cookware. Most beautiful night sky to enjoy by the fire. Beautiful property with wild flowers everywhere and mountain backdrop. Could not have asked for a more beautiful weekend to spend with the friends. Would love to come back for another trip

Absolutely gorgeous
The property was perfect and by far the most relaxing retreat we have had. There were all of the amenities you could ask for and more! While you’re out in the mountains, the grocery store is a quick 15 minute trip down the street. The wildlife is amazing and the weather was perfect. We will absolutely be back again!

Great spot for a family!
Spent a few days enjoying the open mountain air. Between the hot tub, fire and ping pong kids were in constant activity and thrilled to be able to roam and discover the woods. My favorite were the porch swings, enjoyed seeing it all. Thank you!

peaceful, romantic retreat
we absolutely love this place! it was our second time staying here and it was just as wonderful as the first. the private setting is so beautiful and perfect for romance. sauna every morning, strolls around the property in the afternoon, hot tub under the stars every night. ping pong and pinball were great fun! we loved watching the wildlife - so many birds, a few morning deer walking across the lawn and a heron fishing in the pond each evening. the cabin is sparkiling clean and so well appointed. we love all the interesting artwork/decor, which reminded us of our time spent in Iceland. Enjoyed the Starbuck's espresso with the Copper Cow sweetened condensed milk creamer that was provided. we really had a fabulous, romantic, restorative, mostly unplugged time (no wifi, but did get some spotty 4G near the entrance). so, now that we have winter and spring covered, we would love to come back in the fall. the foliage must be stunning!

Much needed getaway
We had an absolutely fantastic time at this wonderful cabin. Cooking in the kitchen was great with all of the retro appliances, sitting on the porch watching the rain or early in the morning with coffee was so relaxing and of course nothing could beat the hot tub! My daughter loved climbing in the bunk beds, trying to play ping pong and getting bonuses on the pinball machine. My only problem was that since I played on the floor alot with my son I noticed how dusty the floor was. I feel like the person cleaning could have done a better job especially knowing they are dark wood which shows the dust more.

Good and could improve
The owner was prompt to respond as we booked and provided good directions. All contact with the owner was through the VRBO app however, and there is essentially no internet connectivity at the house. When we arrived at the house we found that fire starter, paper and cut kindling for starting a fire had not been restocked. We could find no axe or hatchet for creating kindling from the cord wood. We could not find a phone number for the owner to inquire about a hatchet so we were ... stuck. Three days later we came upon a prepared instruction page with the owners contact information that was on top of a cabinet in the bathroom rather than with the other informational pages furnished by the owner. The hot water reeks of sulfur dioxide which made showers and hand washing dishes at the kitchen sink a nauseating experience. The property does have a charcoal filter in the water supply, but it is either undersized or was in need of replacement. Bring water to drink and make beverages! The owner has thoughfully provided several pages of instructions and guidance which are well done. Unfortunately, they were not collected together prior to our arrival, hence our inability to contact the owner regarding fire building, above. Appliances, cooking equipment and dishes are of excellent quality and quantity. Were it not for the SO2 in the well water we would return. Being without internet was an excellent opportunity to detox from screens which benefited us emotionally.

Relaxing Getaway
The cabin was wonderful, as was the location. Perfect for a relaxing weekend to do nothing other enjoy the hot tub, cook in the spacious kitchen and generally just unplug and unwind. It didn’t effect our time but FYI to renters-there is very limited cellular service and no WiFi

Relaxing Trip
We had a great time at this cozy cabin. It’s tucked away atop a hill with lovely mountain views out the front door. Fully stocked kitchen with nice appliances and supplies. We enjoyed watching the sunrise, sledding right on property, playing ping pong, the hot tub and watching movies on the DVD player. No cable or WiFi but It was so nice to be unplugged for a few days and just enjoy each other's company. The water has a sulphur smell so we brought bottled water for drinking which was totally fine. Thanks Isabel for opening up your home - we highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. We will be back for sure!

Heaven on earth
Beautiful mountain getaway with everything you could want. Rustic and luxurious with amazing attention to detail. In addition to all the big stuff like the hot tub and sauna, the owner truly thought of everything - from great coffee, to instruction manuals for how to operate all the amenities, to where to go should you need first aid. Plenty of clean towels and blankets and spices etc. in the kitchen. Loved the view and the serenity and watching the birds at the feeders. The perfect retreat- we will surely rent this property again.

Return trip
We stayed at the castle on the hill for a 2nd time over the Christmas weekend and it was even more beautiful in the winter than it was in Sept. Snow flurries all weekend enhanced everything this property offers. Serene privacy with the best appointments I've seen anywhere. High end appliances, the warmest Lithuanian wool blankets, ping pong, sauna, hot tub. This property really is heaven on earth.
