About this villa rental
A peaceful and picturesque villa, right on the sea minutes from Corfu town. The villa has a private ladder down to the beach, with a jetty and x 2 Double Kayaks and two single Kayaks,plus two paddle boards plus snorkel equipment We also have 2 fishing rods and tackle for the guests to use. You can hire a speed boat by arrangement.The Villa has plenty of outdoor entertaining space with large staggered patios, and shaded dining areas. There is also a Jacuzzi, with sea views. Villa Waves is in an ideal location, halfway between the north and the south of the island, with Corfu town only 6km away. There are a handful of secluded beaches and local villages within easy distance. The closest being Benitses a traditional Greek village boasting a marina, as well as numerous bars, tavernas. The house is perfect for a family vacation.
It contains everything needed for a great vacation and we didn’t want to leave!
Hugh and Daniela are great hosts and enabled us to feel at home for the first minute.
The location is also very good, quite close to Corfu town and to great restaurants and tavernas.
We will absolutely come back!

The villa was decorated to a very high standard with everything we could wish for, including: paddle boards, kayaks, fishing rods, a boat and a guitar. Our experience was rich and varied from BBQ to hot tub. There was something for everyone. We will definitely be back. Hugh and Daniela were very attentive.

Villa Waves was spectacular. I’m so glad we booked this place for us and our two teenagers - it has it all! Perfectly located on the water we had such fun with the paddle-boards, kayaks & snorkels. Endless entertainment everyday as well as enjoying the hot tub in the evening time. We didn’t have a car so we used the bus to get around to nearby town’s & restaurants. Daniela & Hugh were super hosts while also providing us with a fab welcome pack of fruit, beers, prosecco
and any assistance we needed.
The Villa has everything you need for an amazing holiday. There are so many different areas to hang out, play music etc.. everyone really enjoyed it.
All back home now and dreaming of another trip sometime to Corfu and Villa Waves! Thanks for a holiday to remember.

My wife and I talked about visiting Corfu from our very first phone call together before we even met face to face. It took us 22 years to finally get there. After careful consideration, we chose Villa Waves to base ourselves for our dream vacation. It was a very good choice.
First the property is well described in the listing. It was very well taken care of and equipped with everything we needed during our stay. We were able to cook at the Villa when we wanted using a gas grill and the very well equipped kitchen and when we wanted, were a very short distance to many great places to eat.
We decided to rent a car and explore the entire island. We were never much more than an hour drive from even the furthest places, and most were much less than that. In addition, we used the public bus system to go into Corfu town to avoid the need for parking. The bus system is really good and goes almost anywhere you would want to go.
It was truly amazing to go swimming right out of the back door and we really enjoyed the Kayaks. Sunrises from the back terrace were awesome as we enjoyed the Nespresso coffee.
Hugh and Daniela are truly awesome hosts. They made sure the Villa was well taken care of, checking in on things a few times during our visit. They also were always very quick to answer any questions we had. They even arranged for a great deal on our rental car.
We loved every aspect of our stay and do not hesitate to highly recommend it!

We were two couples and each one preferred to have its own bathroom. The other couple choose to sleep on the lower floor rather than sharing the small bathroom on the main floor with us. But these rooms can only be accessed via the outside stairs. Sleeping there they were locked out unless we kept the terrace door open at night, which we did. But it does not feel safe, especially since the doors could not be closed from the outside.
Furthermore the bedrooms rooms on the lower floor could not be locked at all. Sleeping in a house literally on the beach where anyone could enter the property having the doors unlock-able just did not feel safe.
Having some rainy days we desperately missed an inside dining table. The only table is outside. When eating inside we had to crouch around the low coffee table in the living room.
We felt cold and the air condition in one bedroom was not working. For more comfort it would have been nice to have some hooks in the bathrooms and more cloth hangers in the bedrooms.
The view from the balcony is beautiful. But the street is loud and on the same level as the roof terrace. Other than some people wrote, you are really exposed on the roof terrace.
We enjoyed the hot tub, as well as the kayaking and the paddle board. The jetty was not installed yet and securing the kayak was troublesome.
However the owners found a quick solution for some problems with the coffee machine and the dish washer. The communication was good and friendly.

We had an amazing week in October, the weather was wonderful so we where able to swim every day. It was great to have the paddle boards and the SUP’s. Loved the outdoor areas, there where so many that we could all use an area without being on top of each other. Hot tub was an added bonus and the children loved it.
Special mention for Craig who was so helpful and kept us up to date with many things.

A wonderfully located, well furnished and well equipped property. On the road from Corfu Town to Benitses, so service by bus made a hire car unnecessary. The owners agent Craig was more than useful when needed. One of the best views from a villa that we can remember.

Superb facilities for all needs - whether it be catching some sunshine on the rooftop terrace, watching the sunrise whilst in bed through the french doors, relaxing on the balcony ... or enjoying the water activities - a great holiday for all the family!

Thank you so much for allowing me to stay at the property to test drive the villa for my families next summer's holiday to Corfu in May 2021 - we want to book it for a whole month please...I did not want to leave!
The proper is finished to a very high standard that you just can't find elsewhere on the island it truly is the ultimate Mediterranean oasis with lots of attention to detail, high specification furniture, well-manicured gardens, an abundance of outdoor space, and designed with tranquillity and privacy at the same time.
Occupying a spectacular, rare and 'true' waterfront position with unparalleled 180-degree view of the Ionian Sea and neighbouring Albania coastline views.
The crystal-clear waters of the deep blue Ionian Sea are right on your doorstep and it’s shallow and calm so perfect for children, paddle boards and kayaks.
Set over 4 levels there is so much space! The indoors and outdoors blend seamlessly with a stunning well-kept Mediterranean garden and of course the hot tub! Just magic to enjoy this in the evenings as the weather cools down and the sun begins to set.
Hugh & Daniela were incredibly helpful, friendly and offered a multitude of options and special services if you require them (massages / in house chef / car & boat hire etc. – like a true concierge service).
I really can't wait to bring the whole family next year.
For someone who is incredibly spoilt when it comes to travel and a frequent user of all the private rental sites this is by far the best beach property I have ever stayed at.

Comfortable sea front villa
Comfortable villa with a well tended garden right on the waters edge. We loved having an early morning dip, and had fun using the paddle boards and kayaks. We also hired a boat for 2 days. It is a short drive to Benitses and atmospheric Corfu Town both having plenty of places to eat, sadly the villa is right on the busy coastal road which is dangerous to walk along, however you can not hear the traffic inside and the six of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Birthday celebrations with the family
My family ages range from 26 - 60 and we all equally enjoyed the appropriately named Villa Waves! From the stunning views/pebble beach at our feet/twinkly lit hot tub, jetty/kayaks/snorkel gear/body boards/and beautiful roof top terrace (with my favourite hammock ) we were all satisfied. It is semi detached but the lovely neighbour was very friendly. There are quite a few steep steps around the property so it would be something to consider for anyone with mobility issues. We hired a minibus from a friendly efficient company recommended by Hugh which was worth doing to explore the Island, also the motor boat for the day which was great fun. As mentioned in other reviews there is quite a bit of traffic noise from the busy dangerous road above the villa, but it didn't spoil our experience or put us off from returning, and we really enjoyed the plane spotting! We made good use of the barbeque too and the kitchen was very well equipped. Beds were all very comfortable and clean and the aircon was great! We didnt use the TV but there is an excellent selection of DVDs to suit all.
There are plenty of supermarkets within 5/10 minute drive away, and Benitses 10 minutes and Corfu town 20 minutes.
Only suggestion for improvement would be sunlounger pads for roof terrace and a bit extra screening from the road, but we have made some really special memories at Villa Waves !!🇬�🇷�❤😎�🥂�

Villa waves
We had a fantastic week at Villa waves! The view is amazing. Just a walk down the steps and your in the sea. The kids really enjoyed learning to paddle board and using the kayaks! The beach wasn’t that busy even in August! The air con was much needed and kept us cool off n 37+ temperatures. The roof terrace is a cool place to relax at night and the jacuzzi is refreshing relief from the heat! The road is very busy but we got used to the noise and managed to walk the kids to the local taverna without any issues. The downstairs rooms are perfect for teenagers, giving them and us our own space. The twin room is ideal for younger kids. Unfortunately the boat wasn’t available due to issues with the engine but Ivor managed to negotiate a good price from the local rental place, however there are restrictions on where you can take a rental boat. Great holiday, thank you for letting us stay at Villa Waves!

We are a family with teenagers so I felt ok but I would not like to have experienced this with young children.We enjoyed the kayaks every day it was a shame that the single kayak was no longer available as it meant we could not go out together. The beach was fairly busy every day with people coming and going but we rather enjoyed the people watching. I’m not sure if the jetty shown in the photos is private but people used it constantly so we struggled to be able to use it on some days. The electric ladders are a novel way of getting down to the beach but again I would be worried about these if I had young children, and the wire hanging down to raise and lower them is very sharp so be careful. We were unable to eat outside in the evenings due to being plagued by wasps so we think there is a nest nearby. However the local tavernas were cheap and served an excellent variety of food catering well for all of our tastes. We enjoyed using the hot tub which kept us cool in the heat of the day. There was a problem with it whilst we were staying but it was quickly sorted by Hugh. Overall we had a lovely holiday and thoroughly enjoyed waking up to a wonderful sunrise every morning. You would be hard pushed to find these views in many places.

The Complete Package
A well equipped villa right on the water that allowed our family of 5 to chill out and relax with the feeling of a 5* resort.. Direct access to the beach that seemed to be ours exclusively allowed us to swim easily 2-3 times a day - or use the long boards and kayaks supplied. Air conditioned bedrooms gave comfort at night and a complete library, WiFi and excellent TV setup allowed us to still be connected to home. Benitses is only 5 minutes away with great restaurants and bars for evenings. The only watch out is to take extra care on the road outside as there are some blind spots for the pedestrian traffic and no parking directly outside the villa.

Fantastic week in Corfu
A well appointed, spacious villa providing really comfortable accommodation with great outdoor space. As described by others there is noise from a main road and the planes, but this is more than offset by the rear of the house which faces a small pebble beach and a beautiful ocean, which for most of the time was only used by us.

A little slice of paradise
Love Villa Waves - right on the sea with our own access to the beach down a ladder, what could be more idyllic.
So much outdoor and indoor space that there is always somewhere to be to enjoy the wonderful views. The colour of the sea around Waves is quite wonderful- turquoise and azure.

Beautiful!
We arrived in the pouring rain and got soaked getting our bags down the steps to the villa, but when we saw the amazing sunrise over the sea the next morning we knew we'd made a brilliant decision in choosing this holiday!
Whether you want to relax on one of the three beautiful terraces/balconies, hunt for fish & crabs with the kids in the crystal clear sea down the private steps from the villa, or take a kayak out and paddle along the beautiful coast, this villa offers everything.
It's only 10mins drive from the airport, but don't let the proximity worry you - the planes fly out over the water and only once an hour (if that).
It's also really close to the very pretty Corfu Old Town and only 30mins from beautiful - but empty - beaches on the West of the island.
We found the nicest beaches around Palaiokastritsa and Kassiopi (about an hour away), but there are so many amazing places on this island and the villa is in a great location to visit them all.

Heavenly, perfect & peaceful
Just back from our best ever week away. We made a big mistake in not booking for longer, as we were not ready to leave. The villa is beautiful, lots of outdoor space and always one of the terraces offering sun or shade depending on preference. The ladder down to the sea just makes it extra special and out of the ordinary. 6 of us with different requirements, from teenaged to considerably older, were all kept happy as you could swim, snorkel, paddle or snooze in the sun as you preferred. The snorkelling was the highlight for me, and I saw a huge number of different fish, cuttlefish, octopus, anemones etc - crystal clear water 20 seconds from your bedroom door! It was also close enough to Corfu Town that we could visit easily for sight seeing, shopping and drinks. The road outside was hairy, but this would be the case wherever you were in Corfu, and just required a little attention. Previous people have mentioned the planes, but this did not disturb us at all - they are not so loud or frequent to ruin the peace, and we actually enjoyed watching them coming and going and quite turned into plane spotters! Finally - have to mention the incredible sunrises every morning. I’m not a morning person but they were so enticing, with the sun coming up from the sea almost in touching distance , I was up before the sun most days. All in all - just perfect! We have to go again!

Amazing location and setting
Villa Waves is such an amazing property. The outside living space is fantastic with stunning views of the sea. Hugh, the owner has thought of everything to ensure you make the most of the setting and facilities. The attention to detail is stunning with lighting in the hot tub, to beautiful seating and sunbathing areas on the top terrace. The Kayaks and waterboards were great fun . Hugh has even added a speedboat for the guests to hire. Local taverna's are a short walk away but be careful the road is busy and the locals do drive fast. We arrived on a Sunday and the main supermarket was closed but the local shop close by was in walking distance for a few supplies but obviously a little more expensive. The communication and welcome was great and the whole booking process is really easy. Would recommend Villa Waves and many thanks to Hugh for everything he did for us

An island idyll
Corfu in May is beautiful, Villa Waves in May is a treat for the senses.
The Villa Waves has everything you need for a successful family holiday; there is plenty of outdoor space for everyone to do their thing during the day - and there are certainly plenty of things to keep them busy - the young adults loved the paddle boards and kayaks (cruising up and down the coastline) while others enjoyed the spectacular views from the terrace, whiling away the hours swinging in the hammock or reading in the shade.
We were very fortunate with the weather - sunny and in the high 20s.
A car is essential to get around (although you could go to various seaside tavernas in the kayaks). In Benitses we enjoyed eating at Mezza Luna, very friendly service and great fresh food. A drive up to the Achillion Palace is a must - the statue of Achilles is awesome. We also took a taxi into Corfu Town late afternoon and watched the sunset from The Cavilieri Hotel’s roof terrace drinking spectacular cocktails.
I can not recommend Villa Waves enough - the clear aquamarine sea with the sun sparkling off it, it is uplifting and relaxing. Everyone felt very quickly at ease. Sleeping with the sound of the sea lapping on the shore is a real treat.
We were treated to a trip out in the Villa’s boat as, being early in the season, it was still being sea-tested. The boat trip was thrilling and I feel sure that when we return next year we would like to hire the boat for a day or two and enjoy exploring. Corfu is a sea-faring nation and best enjoyed for the sea.

Greek Paradise
Idyllic location, the clear water is perfect and the views were breathtaking.
We spent the week kayaking and paddle boarding and the night watching films from the large DVD collection.
It’s the perfect place for a private getaway with the option to go and explore if you wish.
The bus journey to town wasn’t too hard and all of the locals were lovely.
The terrace area is perfect for a nice rest with a glass of wine, we also watched an incredible storm from there.
I am definitely going back next year, really didn’t want to leave!

Week in your beautiful Villa
We all loved staying at this amazing villa, the place felt very homely and the view was amazing. We made full use of the boats which was the tick for me when we were looking for a place to stay.
Only negative was the parking and the road.
We will be back that's for sure.

Lovely waterfront location
Stayed for 9 days and had a great time. However there were downs as well as ups. The villa was clean tidy and well equipped but we would have liked at least a change of towels if not bedding. The waterfront location is just so lovely and private but you are on the flight path to the airport and the planes are low and loud. The sun deck on the roof is spacious, comfortable with lovely views of the coast. However there is a busy road adjacent to the villa and you get loud and smelly road noise as well as landing planes. Shade is also limited. The villa is located a couple of miles from benitses which was once a major resort but now is a little tired but does have some nice bars and restaurants. You can walk if you want but the main road does not have a pavement and drivers are...well!.. We took a cab BUT beware. The cars are mostly brand new mercedes because should you wish to use them you get robbed by the driver. 10 euros for a 2 mile trip... really. Anyway. Overall This is a nice villa with seafront location and would recommend as long as you are happy with my comments above.

Heaven on the sea
Villa Waves provides all it promises - it really is right on the sea, literally lower the ladder and you are on the beach - which we had to ourselves practically every day. In the main bedroom and the lower apartment you can actually hear the sea as you drift off to sleep.
The kitchen is well equipped, plus there is an outside barbecue, so it is easy to cater for groups small or large. There is also ample choice of where to eat, all of which have sea views.
The sunrise is stunning and we found it easy to wake for it. Being so close to the sea we all felt very well and wound down quickly from busy lives.
The two kayaks were used extensively throughout our three weeks there, as was the jacuzzi. There really is so much to entertain, or if you want to bob about on crystal clear sea then that too is available.
I would say you would need a car if you wanted to go,into Benitses although there did seem to be quite regular buses going up,and down. Benitses is much quieter than it was in the 80s and 90s but despite the earlier tourist invasion it has retained a lot of its earlier charm. The old village is well worth a visit. Overwhelming we found everyone we met to be genuinely friendly and helpful. We travelled around the south of the island it is is beautiful. Apparently, in the 14th century the islanders were paid 10 gold ducats to plant a hundred olive trees. There are thought to,be 3,000,000 million trees across the island.
Any problems that arose were swiftly dealt with.
I would highly recommend Villa Waves to all - in fact we have already booked to return next year.

Great location and fantastic views
Great base for exploration and relaxation we thoroughly enjoyed every minute, and that dream terrrace to sit and watch the sun go down with a sundowner, not siure what everybody else's idea of a perfect place is, but my wife and I along with the family thought this was quite close, Hugh was a dream to deal with leaving a very warm welcome with perfect weather and cold beers waiting for our arrival.
The road is a little close for comfort but once inside totally forgotten, care should be taken if you have children with you , the unique way to access the sea, being on the doorstep so to speak, is terrific, the kayaks fun for all.

Just stunning location / villa
This was our second stay this year, can't get enough of villa waves with its location , right on the water with a private jetty. Early morning kayaking down to the local tavernas, my family absolutely love this place. We are already looking for flights for next year.

Beautiful property with stunning view!
We absolutely loved Villa Waves!
The house is stylish and well equipped, clean and we appreciated the air conditioning in the bedrooms. The gardens and outdoor space really are beautiful. There are a number of terraces, all with sea views and the sun terrace on top of the house is amazing in the daytime and the evening. The kayaks and close proximity to the sea (it couldn't be any closer) were great for us. The children spent most of the time in the sea or in the kayaks, the younger ones in our group were very reluctant to leave the property. The hot tub was also a hit with them in the evening.
Hugh (the owner) was very helpful throughout the booking process and with the directions. The welcome pack when we got there was a very nice surprise (and was very generous). The prosecco and cold beers were very welcome when we arrived!
I really can't fault the property or suggest any improvements. You have to take care on the road you walk along to get to the property, but that can't be helped and it's more than worth it for that fantastic day.
We enjoyed everything about our stay and the island. We are just now very depressed to be back home in the rain and wind. We will definitely be back!

One of the Best views in Corfu
Short Visit this time but weather was great, got up at 6.30 to watch the sunrise , this place is truly beautiful, well equipped, Had friends around for a BBQ on the lower terrace,

The Villa is really easy to get to from the Airport. We drove from airport using Olivia's directions without any problems.
The villa itself was beautifully presented, and the website pictures do not do it justice, The addition of the two adjoining single rooms and toilet / shower room on the lower terrace used by my Daughter and her cousin. giving them and my wife and I our own space.
Another fantastic addition from when we booked was the roof terrace. The view from the roof terrace is stunning; sky, sea and mountains. Get up early to see the sunrise you will not regret it.
Internet was not working the week we were their and an afternoon / evening without water due to burst pipe locally, did not spoil week due to relaxing atmosphere of the villa. The whole week had the feeling of a relaxing retreat and one wakes to the sound of the sea gently lapping the rocks on the beach below the bedroom window. If you like spotting planes you will love this villa although noise was not to intrusive hardly notice by the end of week.
Kitchen has all utensils and appliances you might require (apart from pair scissors) and standard British 13 amp type sockets in the kitchen area useful for charging phones etc without adapters.
My wife and I really loved the hot tub / jacuzzi with a long cool drink to cool down and chill out.
There is a good selection of restaurants in Benitses just a few minutes drive away. I would highly recommend Restaurant Paxinos just behind main strip.
Olivia & Hugh (the owners) were a delight to deal with even being understanding when I brought home 2 towels belonging to the villa by mistake.
I would definitely recommend villa Waves to friends and family and look forward to returning some time in the near future.

My husband, two daughters and I wanted a quiet week away prior to a busy exam term. The week after Easter, Corfu was just beginning to wake up after the winter season but we were lucky to have fabulous weather. The Villa is really easy to get to from the Airport and Olivia's directions were clear and concise. The villa itself was very clean and beautifully presented, as on the website, but this year had the addition of the two adjoining single rooms on the lower terrace which were a great hit with our two girls, although these beds are quite small and may not suit taller adults. Another fantastic addition was the roof top sun deck, which became a favourite spot as the sun moved across from the front of the house and the terraces became shady. The view from the roof terrace is stunning; sky, sea and mountains for miles and miles. The whole week had the feeling of a relaxing retreat and one wakes to the sound of the sea gently lapping the rocks on the beach below the bedroom window. The beach was very quiet and practically private. The girls really loved the hot tub, particularly as the sea was still a bit chilly in April. There is a good selection of restaurants in Benitses just a few minutes drive away. There is a good baker there too and we bought fish from the fishermen on the quayside. I would definitely recommend Waves to friends and family and Olivia (the owner) was delightful to deal with.

I spent 11 days at waves villa, could not ask for a better location for sea lovers,was in the sea snorkling,crystal clear water,lots of sealife ,just down the steps, hot tub was brilliant at night with a cold glass, wonderful sunsets. Will be back very soon.

I can not praise this villa enough you have to see it to believe it of how stylish it is and the stunning location it's simply paradise for a relaxing break and easy places to see. The bus route outside the villa on the main road for getting to Benitses or Corfu town is easy and cheap for supermarkets and eating places.

If you're looking for the most relaxing break in the most beautiful of surroundings this is it! From the breathtaking sunrises to an amazing full moon coming up over the coast of Albania, all from the comfort of your own balcony. The 7am swims on the beach with crystal clear water to an evening sitting in the jacuzzi with a glass of wine. Great house, tastefully decorated & furnished absolutely everything you could want, books,games,CDs,DVDs. Mid 30 every day & the ceiling fans were quite sufficient. Great snorkeling & fishing off the jetty, can't wait to return!

We spent the most wonderful week at this lovely villa. The location is truly stunning, right on the waterfront and the villa has its own little rowing boat and jetty. We particularly liked the jetty for sunbathing on! The sunrises are amazing and the views over to the Greek mainland and Albania absolutely wonderful. The villa is well equipped with everything you could need and is decorated in a very light, contemporary style which is very relaxing. We particularly liked the selection of CD's!! The bedrooms both have ceiling fans which were very efficient in the 30 degree heat - not sure how cooling they would be in the very height of the season but perfectly adequate for us. The beds were extremely comfortable (always important). The gardens were pleasant with orange trees and lavender bushes and the jacuzzi in the corner of the garden was a real treat! We hired a speedboat from the guy just along the road (near the supermarket) and had a wonderful afternoon travelling down the coastline stopping off for drinks and lunch. Highly recommended and very friendly and reasonable. Olivia (who owns the property) is very helpful and accommodating and the property maintenance company were very efficient too. Wifi connection generally good although it did drop off a couple of times. Watching the planes come in over the sea to land at the airport was surprisingly exciting and quite spectacular - I was a bit worried about the noise but in fact there were only a handful of planes a day and it was absolutely no problem. We hired a car which was very useful - I think to get the best out of the holiday you would need one. The Greek driving is certainly something to be experienced!! All in all, we had a fantastic holiday at Villa Waves and would highly recommend it.
