About this house rental

Lovely classic cedar Tahoe cabin. Perfectly located for walking or biking to Tahoe City restaurants, Truckee River or Sunnyside just to name a few of the awesome spots. Walk to private HOA beach and spend the day enjoying beautiful Lake Tahoe. Spacious fenced backyard to turn the kids loose. Sleeps 8 in beds. Two full bathrooms and kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals to enjoy outside or indoors. Two TV's with cable and also wifi. All linens provided. Transit bus stop is half block away, ride to Squaw Valley or Alpine and enjoy the village and skiing.

Our family vacation to Lake Tahoe was made even better with this wonderful cabin. The property was even better than we expected it to be. Very clean, every amenity we needed was available and it was in a beautiful neighborhood. Very quiet and just far enough away from the summer crowds in Tahoe City that you felt that you were get to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area, but are close enough that if you need to hop out for supplies or to go eat and explore that it’s super easy. Private access to a small private beach/dock is just steps away and the property owners had some great rec’s for places to eat. Highly recommend this property!!

The house was a bit smaller than we were expecting based on the pictures. Nonetheless, it was adequate for two couples. Two of the bedrooms were quite small, but adequate for sleeping. Based on our experience with a number of other VRBO properties, we found this one a bit lacking. Upon arrival, we discovered a refrigerator containing a fair amount of leftover food; in spite of the house’s Welcome Book stating the refrigerator was to be left empty. The dryer was full of linens. The dishwasher was about half-full of dishes. There was no bath soap, washcloths, nor hand towels provided—though a call to the owner resulted in a neighbor promptly providing these items. There is a noticeable lack of accessible electric outlets for charging phones, computers, etc. The sliding glass door latch required a lot of manipulation to get latched. And some instruction or guide regarding the TV/cable operation would have been nice. The “private” beach was a nice feature with easy access. The house was adequately furnished; and the kitchen well-equipped, though we did no cooking. The beds were comfortable and warm. The Wi-Fi was easy to access and worked well. Located in a nice, quiet neighborhood with easy access to main roads, stores, and restaurants.

We enjoyed our time at this property. The house was clean and had plenty of room for our 3 person family. The private beach was an easy two minute walk and was lovely, with plenty of shade from the strong sun. I recommend this property to others.

We had a great stay. The house was clean and well equipped. The owners were easy to communicate with and responsive. We especially liked the location. It is a 2 min walk to the beach or the bakery across the street (amazing pastries!). We also walked into town for our meals and to rent bikes (15 min). We would definitely stay here again!

The house is very comfortable and has a great cabin feel. Loved the location, too. Very close to Tahoe City and a short walk to a nice private beach with a pier. We would definitely stay there again.

A Relaxing Retreat

My family of 7 had a wonderful time at Tina’s place. The short walk to the private beach was perfect for family or a moment of solitude. The cute yard with chipmunks and bunnies was a perfect place for morning coffee. Tahoe city was a short drive to shops, ice cream, and a fun day at Common’s beach. We rented a kayak for the day and had a blast! Tina was an exceptional host. I hope we can visit again.

We had a great time and would definitely book again. The location was perfect - on the lake side of W Lake Blvd, close to Tahoe City and so many great activities. The house is stocked with all the essentials for your stay. It was the perfect launching spot for all our activities and so nice to come back to at the end of a long, fun day!

What a perfect spot in Lake Tahoe. Clean, quiet, close to everything. We rode our bikes everywhere and enjoyed the private HOA dock and beach.

We loved our stay here!! Tina was wonderful to work with! The day before we were scheduled to check out, two highways were closed due to fires and Tina was very caring and flexible about our departure date. Fortunately, the roads opened but it was reassuring to know Tina was willing to help us!

Perfect location - we loved the private beach. There were never very many folks there. The backyard was also perfect for my kids. The house is quite small, but it worked great for the 4 of us. Would stay again!

Family Christmas in Snowy Tahoe City

The cabin was adorable and included and upper loft area that we didn’t know about or use. The kitchen, dining room and living room were all open-floor plan style, so it was a perfect gathering place for our families. We spent much more time at the cabin than anywhere else, but it was a quick drive to a Safeway or CVS, and lots of little shops and a tavern. The local cinema was sold out of show tickets, but we made the most of our time anyway. The bedrooms were cute and well-decorated. They looked and smelled clean and I really appreciated a big closet and hangers to keep the snow clothes hung up. Overall it was a great stay and we loved it. Thank you, we’re already planning for next year!

We had a great stay in this property located half a block from a great HOA beach and pier. The house is clean and well represented in the ad and the host was extremely attentive to any issue we had. As an example, when notified that there was no toaster an Amazon box arrived the next day with a new toaster. Looking forward to our return as they will see us again!
