Enttäuscht

Lage

Direkt am Haus ist eine grosse Baustelle, sehr laut auch bei geschlossenen Fenstern, Lärm schon ab 7 Uhr morgens, die Terrasse konnte deswegen nicht benutzt werden. Die Wohnung war leider sehr schlecht geputzt. 1 Fahrrad war defekt.

It’s not what it looks like in the pictures

The location - just 5-minute walk and you’re on the beach + all the cafes, shops are nearby The apartment can be easily found and the instructions on self check in are pretty clear

- while I was checking in, there was a delay with cleaning service, so it was very uncomfortable that when I arrived after 3 p.m (as it’s said in the rules) the cleaning lady was still there and 2 men were repairing the balcony door. Eventually, I had to hang around for half an hour while all of them are finishing their work and only then check in… - the furniture is old, fusty and worn. It was unpleasant to sit on the sofa and touch the cushions. There is even the smell of something mouldy inside - the bathroom looks rough and unpleasant and hot water runs out pretty fast. I was alone, so it was enough for me but if you travel with someone, that might be problematic - ants 🐜 I didn’t open the balcony doors because it was pretty cold on those days, but they still managed to get into apartment 😭

Lovely well-equipped appartment

- Location is perfect. 5 min from the ocean, from metro, from bus, from groceries, from craft beer shop, from coffee shop - BBQ on the patio - comfy bed - veggie cafe next door

- would be great to offer beach towels of some sort - rental bikes are a bit dated and not super comfy

Perfect apartment for a week in Matosinhos. Great location and very good accommodation.

Perfect apartment for a week in Matosinhos (Porto). The location is perfect as you have everything you need within 200 meters; from restaurants, to cafes, to supermarkets and of course, the beach. The apartment quality is very high. Not massive, but functional. Bed is not great, but you get used to it. The shower is great (very important for me) and the white goods are all good quality and brands. There is everything you need. It has an outdoor space. Very private, but this means no view. I think places with sea view are more expensive though.

Bed and pillows could be better.

Good location and great apartment

Less than 5 mins walk to the beach so that's awesome! And lots of shops & restaurants around as well. Easy and hassle-free check in. The house is equipped with the items listed here. And the host was super helpful throughout our stay there - helping us to replace dirty bbq grill, responding to our enquiries :)

Certain things [dirty and moldy bbq grill, one of the sliding doors couldn't be locked] can be cleaned up or fixed when guests checked out but wasn't being properly taken care of.

Aufenthalt in Matasinhos

Beautiful appartment, well and nice equiped! Great location and bikes to use for free. The hosts were always reachable and helped us with recommendations. We can highly recommend the apartement! Thanks for having us!

Superb

Perfect location and close to everything. The apartment has a cosy atmosphere.

The hot water seems to run out fast when people take a shower after each other.

Great Apartment!

Every detail is done right. The apartment is roomy, clean, and well situated to be able to walk to the beach and town. The bed is very comfortable. We were able to easily and quickly communicate with the apartment manager regarding any questions we had.

Good

Location was excellent. The kitchen had everthing we needed and wifi in the apartment was really good. Really nice to have the outdoor patio area.

The apartment was a bit fusty and the sofa and cushions felt a bit worn and tatty.

Walking distance from a surf beach

It was very clean and nicely decorated apartment with a big garden. Very convenient parking on the street nearby. It’s just 5 minutes walking distance from a surf beach. It’s a perfect choice for a couple or a family with a small kid like us.

Amazing place to stay in a great location - I'll definitely be back...

Host was great via WhatsApp - was given entry early to leave bags. Location was ideal - so close to beach and restaurants. Perfectly clean with well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable stay.

Very minor grumbles.... I was only left one small towel for 4 days which wasn't really sufficient. I had my own towel for beach so wasn't a crisis but found it a little odd. Given Netflix is advertised as a benefit there was one night where I couldn't watch as it was being utilised by other devices... again, no big deal but a little annoying given I was travelling alone and a night time movie was my pre-bed ritual! I would still definitely stay again...
