Good location for our trip. It was pretty clean except for cobwebs in the bathroom. Could use some carpet. Holes worn through in a couple of areas.

This was a great cabin for a smaller family of 5 to be comfortable in. Location was great and close to Wolf creek! Only trouble we encountered was the battery to the E-lock was starting to die and would not let us in after we had used it to enter the cabin the previous 2 days… thankfully one of the property managers was driving by and saw us (wish I could remember his name). He was extremely friendly and was able to help us get into the cabin and replace the battery after we sat on the phone with Vacasa for 20 mins with no help.

The price was very low and I got what I paid for. Cobwebs in the bathroom, dirty dishes in the kitchen, very shabby carpet and kitchen. Kitchen wares were extremely limited and in rough shape. The hot tub was located between the parking lot, the driveway and the street without any fencing, and the water was cloudy, so we didn't use it. If you need somewhere extremely inexpensive for 3-6 people, this is your spot, but it's on the rough side of VRBOs.

We had a wonderful stay. The property was exactly as described and had everything we needed. Was easy access to Wolf Creek for skiing and big perk of being dog friendly. Would definitely recommend!

It was clean and units have the distance from each other to enable privacy . It is nice with lots of space outside to watch the sky or rains. On the negative side, the bathtub looked a bit scared and discolored she n we moved in but it did not leak. My son that only likes baths did not see a store comptroller to keep water to stay in the tub. And I was not sure how to find movies quickly on the tv remote control., like a movie guide item or brochure. But we certainly enjoyed our stay and we would like to do it again next year.

The room was just as posted. Owner was very responsive to small issue we had. Enough parking area for pickup and trailer. Beds were good. They have NFL games on TV huge plus due to no one in town has the game to watch while eating out. Will be staying there again.

It's okay for a rough hunting cabin but it's in poor condition & needs to be remodeled.

We've actually stayed here 4 times now over the past 5 years. The only reason we haven't stayed more is because it was booked. We're hard-core skiers and this cabin always has everything we need and more! It's a quick drive to the slopes, the owner is always a pleasure, and you can easily accommodate 4 adults. We will be back!!

My family and I stayed in the Deer Cabin for three nights. The cabin was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well equipped with a full size fridge, gas cooker & oven, microwave and even an insta pot. The rooms were relatively spacious. Wi-Fi is strong enough to work or watch streamed movies and TV shows.
The only reason why I didn't rate it 5-star is because the hot tub was closed and the fire-pit was not an individual one (it was at the other end of the property -- not at all practical to use). Had I been told these when I rang customer service, I would not have brought a bunch of wood with me. Also I was told that there was a hot tub. I naturally assumed it was open and working.

Comfortable Place
We had a good stay at Deer Cabin. The heater warmed things up quickly. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of pots and pans to accommodate our cooking needs.

Older and not as nice as portrayed, Had issues with toilet and tv-had to have someone come to fix. Husband had to fix toilet since they could not someone out until next day. Kitchen was minimally supplied.

Was a great cabin. Everything was there to cook. The beds were great. My only concern was the commode has a small leak and the refrigerator freezes Everything whither in the freezer or the refrigerator. Would go again and loved the cabin.

Excellent retreat
We arrived late in our check in day and had immediate access to our cabin. This cabin looked exactly as it was pictured, it was very clean, and everything was perfect. If I had any constructive criticism I would suggest more comfortable patio seating and it definitely needed proper lawn maintenance because there were weeds everywhere. We definitely enjoyed it and would stay there again.

Be aware
Why did I give this place such a high rating? They bend over backwards to accommodate their customers. First off, if you didn’t print out the lock box code for getting into you room, not to worry. You can sleep in your car overnight while their Wifi tries (and fails) to load. The old dial-up internet is much much faster. Did you forget to buy grease for cooking supper? There is plenty of it on the kitchen window seal so just help yourself. Love sleeping in a hammock or in a taco shell? These beds are designed to please. Want to see wildlife? The dumpsters are NOT bear proof so every night you will have the opportunity to meet bears. Some right on your deck. Worried about leaving items in your room. No need to worry, someone will enter your room every day! They won’t clean or move anything but they will have a look around. After your shower you will have the joy of drying yourself off with sheets of sandpaper the size of bath towels. Speaking of sandpaper, love those sheets on the beds! There is no A/C but they do provide filthy fans to help cool your room down. Don’t forget to open your windows of a nighttime to help cool your room(s) down and also allow you to listen for the bears. Vacasa spared no expense in making the walls paper thin so everyone knows what their neighbors are doing. The refrigerator is loud but the noise from the hot water heater will cover it up. The “Guess Information Book” – what can I say? It is really gross!

Great location, spacious cabin
Deer cabin in South Fork with great location, close to Wolf Creek ski area (20 mins drive) and various hiking trails (in and out of the village). The cabin is spacious with 2 rooms (1 king bed and 2 twin beds), sofa in the lounge, kitchen with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, utensils, plates, dishes, fridge. One bathroom with very hot water and many towels and shower gel and shampoo. Internet was good and reliable, which was important as we did work remotely. Direct TV in the master bedroom and in the lounge with many channels. Place was generally clean but it was spot vacuum cleaned, dusty and with all kinds of "debris" under beds and sofa. We had enough bin bags and enough covers, the heating was great. Nice and quiet surrounding, great starry skies, many deer nearby. Communication from Vacasa could be a bit better, didn't receive reply to 2 of my messages but they were not highly important, otherwise I would call. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the hikes and skiing.

Awesome cabin
We came up for a weekend ski trip and this place was incredible. It’s very close to Wolf Creek. The beds are very soft and comfortable and the cabin itself is much larger and nicer than the pictures give it justice. We will definitely be back.

No hot tub
Everything was decent, but we were really looking forward to the hot tub, especially after skiing. We were saddened that it was broken down. They should not have advertised that if it wasn’t functioning.

We enjoyed our lodging very much. We had everything we needed in our lodging. It was nice to be able to walk to the Dollar Store and the Mountain Pizza and Tap Room. The Management Staff were great and we had no trouble getting into our cabin. The master bedroom bed was great! We used the other room for our luggage. They did a great job clearing snow in the parking area and we were glad to be close to the main road. We enjoyed the tour of the underground mine in Creede. We would stay here again if we are back in this area for sure. Hope that the hot tub would be available on a future visit. Thank you!

Easy Family Base
We rented this so we were close to skiing for a couple of days. I cooked just fine with the amenities and although the couch was small for 4 people we were otherwise very comfortable with our sleeping and eating arrangement. Would be fun to go back in the summer.

Easy Access to Ski Slopes
Enjoyed the stay. Located in the middle of South Fork with a 20 minute drive to Wolf Creek. The cabin was clean and warm. Only issue we had was that the advertised hot tub was out of order. However, we immediately received money back upon contact with the property management company. Will stay here again!
