This particular unit needs some updates as other reviews have mentioned, but it was clean and quiet. There were enough dishes and utensils to cook meals. The AC and internet worked well. We enjoyed using the pool each day and watched the sunset by the water. The kayaks looked clean and new. Other guests had dogs that were no issue, all were quiet and kept on a leash. We spent most of our time in Bahia Honda State Park and Key West, this property was easy to get to both areas.

The cottage was wonderful as a base-camp for a fishing stay. The kitchen was well stocked for breakfasts preparation, big refrigerator w ice maker, very roomy and comfortable. Air conditioning and ceiling fans were a blessing. The property is very nice w added perk of nice pool. Great location, quiet and convenient.

2 Q-tips in the toilet, so not sure how it got past house cleaning. Other guest had dog off leash, charged us (Not the management’s fault, I suppose). My fault for not looking at the website more thoroughly.

On arrival at 4:20 PM, I had to contact host, unit was not cleaned yet. The cleaner arrive within 20 minutes and required us to leave unit for an additional 30 minutes. The garbage can in the laundry room was overflowing on arrival and was never emptied our week long stay. The cable wires were a spaghetti mess tripping hazard on the ground outside the unit. The outdoor chairs in need of repair. The location, grounds and other guest were great.
It appeared a maintenance person was missing to handle easy issues.

We absolutely love staying here at this location! It’s a nice/safe location with so many things to access while you stay. The house is clean and perfect whether you stay there all day or are just there to sleep. We always look forward to coming back!

Our large family group is renting six units here for a long vacation. We rented Unit 6 for my daughter and son-in-law. They enjoyed staying on the same property as the rest of us. The cottage is older but roomy. They enjoyed the pool and going out in the boats. They also appreciated the short drive (25 minutes) to Key West for a day trip.

We've stayed in this cottage along with Cottage #5. The A/C wasn't working properly when we arrived and Jen, the property manager, quickly allowed us to move to Cottage #5. She did call to have the A/C looked at while we were gone but it did not cool down to the 75 degree mark. Cottage #5 was perfect for our stay. The screened in porch was great to put our wet towels and boating supplies. The boat dock was busy with larger boats so we kept our boat on the trailer this visit. The photos are an exact representation of this cottage. Depending on your stay, you'll have to do laundry. The washer took a little while but the dryer was extremely hot with just one cycle.

We have stayed at this property multiple times. It is a super convenient location. We bring our boat and it's only a short ride out to either the Gulf or Ocean.

I'm not one to leave reviews often, but my friend and I were a little disappointed with our stay at this cottage. One of the beds had termite droppings all over the sheets. They could also be found in the corners of this bedroom and on the window sills. Led me to believe the sheets hadn't been washed in quite a while. The east entrance door is very difficult to open. Needs repair. There's no #6 at the door entrance where you pull up in your vehicle. Makes it difficult to know which unit you're staying in if you arrive at night. The North entrance door is labeled #6 and we didn't know there was a door at this location. The bathroom cold water nozzle is very difficult to turn on. The toilet paper dispenser kept falling off the wall. This property needs attention. The overall neighborhood is safe and quite.

Perfect weather in Cudjoe Key !!! Very nice 2 bedroom unit that was very cute and looked like it was freshly renovated.
We had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.

This place is in a good location but there are some repairs that need to be addressed. Rotten cabinet in the bathroom, leaking water under kitchen sink, TP holder came loose from the wall, kitchen counter laminant peeling off, master bedroom bed need repair (it was tilted to one side, all doors are dirty., found roaches in the kitchen, I had to wiped and sanitized all the highly touch areas myself. The shower floor is slippery, might be a good idea to have nonslip mat or strips on floor before someone get hurt when floor is wet. Other towel rack appeared to be missing. We noted holes in the wall where it used to be. Just general cleanliness and repairs would really make this place a super cute place to relax and spend the week.

Cudjoe Key is centrally located. There are a lot of activities close by, but the location itself is quite and peaceful.

Spent a great week in the keys. Location was perfect. Just south of Marathon and 25 min from Key West this was the perfect location. Rooms were clean and everything was perfect

This property was perfect for us. My only complaint is we were confused on where Cottage #6 was located. The house number on the street matched the listing, but then there is another number near the cottages. That was confusing along with #6 being located on the side of the building versus the front of the building along with the others. The main door through the kitchen was clearly numbered, but you couldn't see that from the main driveway. We found it, just a confused for a few minutes. Other than that small hiccup, it was perfect. The bed and furniture was comfy, bathroom and kitchen were nice and clean. Couldn't find the hair dryer, I didn't pack one since it was in the listing, but it was hot and my hair ended up in a ponytail anyway.
Great space, close to Key West, we went everyday of our stay. Would definitely stay there again!

Great place for a budget fishing trip, full kitchen, bathroom & living area .
Washer and dryer on the premises to wash the fish off your clothes.

If you want fancy this is not for you. However it was clean good location. Loved the dock... I sat out there every evening. Every caught a few fish off it. I had a good stay!

The stay was great, the location was perfect for what we needed. Has dockage for the boat and a boat ramp on the property, as well as plenty of parking for the trucks and trailers. Easy spot to get out to the channel. House was clean and plenty of towels and Rags and cooking supplies.

Minor details make a difference for me
Overall we had a decent stay. Loved hearing the rain on the tin roof. Parking was super close. Cold A/C as long as you don’t want it cooler than 74 (we don’t). Saw 2 kayaks by the ‘beach’ area but with four people we didn’t use them. The pool looked nice and clean. The property boasts sleeping 4 but doesn’t state the kitchen only seats 3. The bathroom was hot and the vanity was growing a little mold (from the moisture, I presume). The beds were decent. The master bedroom door did not close all the way as it was too big, also there was a door with a window in the middle of it that led to the outside in that bedroom as well. This made me a little uneasy while trying to sleep. During our stay we discovered a lot of pet fur but that’s on the cleaners not the owners. We decided to leave a day early so we could be more comfortable at home. Maybe other units were different but I can only speak for #6.

Nothing like pictures
Blood stains all over bed, cockroach poop all over walls, no cleaning done. Termite damage worst I’ve ever seen. Tried to accommodate by putting us in upgraded home to walk in and floors are flooded out and water pouring from ceiling. I wish I went through vrbo to get my money back. Just beware.

First I will say the property Mgr was extremely nice! Responds quickly, etc. However, we left after the first night of our 3 night stay. The cottage was clean as far as floors, shower, sinks, etc. so I did rate higher for that reason only. However the beds and furniture are so old that those can only come so clean (I put blankets on the sofa and chair so we were not sitting directly on them!). Walls had huge gauges in them, old felt lampshades that were stained, and most furniture looked to be from the 70's. The twin bed I slept on the bedframe was broken. All beds are OLD. The master bedroom door was only fixed on two hinges so doesn't shut properly, most blinds were broken (one was fixed together with a band aid..i took pictures cause it got comical how old things were). The microwave didn't work, fridge was so loud it sounds like a gun was going off. I did read LOTS of reviews so was prepared for it being an older cottage and figured things mentioned in reviews would have been fixed as I went pretty far back. One response from a review was that the furniture was NOT old so I knew they are ok with the furnishings and figured for the price we were paying it couldn't be that bad. Jennifer did say she wished I would have said something before leaving as things could have been resolved as she was working on the internet issue, but we knew beds, furniture, etc couldn't be replaced and it was just too old and outdated for us. I hate to give reviews that are not flattering but it is important for consumers to read good and bad. Jennifer was VERY kind and refunded our money for the two nights.

Comfortable, clean, centrally located
Comfortable and clean, good location, easy to get to places on the Keys. Nice pier to watch the sunrise, a very small beach area for relaxing, a small pool. WiFi, cable TV, small coffee pot, microwave, toaster, dishes. Several good restaurants nearby. And very reasonably priced for the season as compared to others. Could use some updating, for example one of the twin beds slumped in the middle, refrigerator was noisy, headboard in queen bedroom is unattached and makes a racket when you get in or out or roll over, some broken blinds. But all in all it was a comfy stay in a good location with a nice hostess.

Property in disrepair
Kayaks were reportedly stolen week before and replacements were not usable. Pool in need of refurbishing, no coffee pot, stove burner not level, refrigerator makes banging noises, headboard broken to master bed, washing machine out of order, lack of hooks in bathroom, water damage to cabinetry in bathroom and damage to walls in cottage. Left two days early!
On the plus side; ceramic floor, kitchen cabinets are nice. With a little bit of TLC cottage could be nice again.

Property a bit tired
The location was good but right next to Rte 1 and you could hear lots of traffic. The refrigerator made a lot of noise when on. Shower head was bad.

Perfect location between Key West and Marathon
We really only used the property just for sleeping. We'd be gone by 8am and arrived back by 8pm usually. Stayed in cottage 6. Beds are not the best and appears box springs are broken. Master bedroom has an exterior door with window glass in the middle of the door that should be covered for privacy and security. Also, unit is lacking a coffee maker but did have coffee cups and coffee filters. To me these are minor things, and I would stay here again. If you want to travel the lower keys vs just staying in Key West or Marathon this is a great location.

New Years trip to Keys with friends and family!
Cudjoe cottages was the perfect destination for or 3 families to hang out for a week between Christmas and New Years! It was close to Key West. Also had nice pools to sit by. You could watch the sunset and sunrise each morning off the long dock. The houses had adequate supplies and comfy beds. We will stay again!

Could be better
Drove up to door, first thing we see is a broken flower container crumbling by door and a moldy BBQ. Not exactly visually friendly. The set up in the room was fine but it was dirty. Needed a deep clean. Refrigerator compressor going out with huge bang every hour. Bed mattress needs to be replaced. Husband actually got a bruise from sleeping on it. I don't know what the other rooms look like but the website definitely had a professional photographer taking pictures and LOT'S of filters.

Great location with the basics
The cottage has a great location with all the basics needed. We were short a couple towels and the owner had them drop off the next day. Missed have a table with 4 chairs to eat at. With a little bit of TLC this cottage could be great. Adding towel bars, bath rug, stronger WiFi router, cleaning out the pools more regularly. And removing the broken plant pot by the door. Bonus were kayaks, there were 3 (one more for a family would be nice). The views by the water were great!
