Madelyn was very friendly and answered all of my questions, and helped me out with everything I needed, she is a lovely host. The location was lovely - a quiet side street with nature sounds. You’ll walk a few minutes to the nearest supermarket or soda, but it’s very pleasant, and I’d say the place is a great base for exploring Manuel Antonio. There is an air conditioner in the bedroom, which came in very handy, and all the other facilities worked well. There was even coffee and a coffee maker in the kitchen. Thank you for a lovely time!
The nearest beach is a bit of a walk, but if you’ve got a car you’re good to go. The AC unit is audible, though it wasn’t loud enough to keep me up at night.

The place is FABULOUS. The apartment is super quiet, which can be a problem in Manuel Antonio. It's just 3 block off the main highway so close to restaurants. Madeline, the host was amazing. She offered me rides to some of the beaches, she recommended the best restaurants. She knows, values and practices service at the highest level.

Great little apartment that had everything we needed for our two day exploration of Manuel Antonio and the surrounding area. Easy access to the park and the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner and a couple of breakfasts. We really appreciated the apartment and the stay.

The host (Madelyn) allowed me to check in a couple hours earlier as the apartment was free and was always super responsive and helpful, she also runs an hostel right on the side and they provide laundry services. The apartment was cleaned and towels/linen changed every other day. The apartment itself was very well equipped, appliances, fridge, stovetop, juice blender, coffee maker, etc was the best I have seen in this type of rentals (which is usually minimal). Wifi was super fast so great if you're working remotely. Felt safe overall, the area is quiet, and monkeys pass by in the mornings. There's a supermarket just up the road and there's plenty of restaurants in walking distance. It's 30/40 min walking to playitas beach. It might seem a lot but it's a nice workout and you'll get to see a lot of wildlife on your way, specially early in the mornings, direct into a nice surf break. There's also buses 5min walking from the place in the main road that do the quepos - manuel antonio park route every 20 min for both ways, for less than a dollar each ride and a couple minutes. Also, the owner one day was going to Manuel Antonio beach and gave me a ride down and back up which was great!
This is something that seems regular in Costa Rica, not particular about this apartment, but the thermal isolation (specially on doors and windows) is not that good so you usually need to run the AC for a bit longer, or many more times than you would otherwise - this is something that is the owners that end up paying so not really a problem for you but feels like it could be improved.

Madelyn was a fabulous hostess, always available and helpful (especially with helping us get around) and very sweet. The unit was clean, and cleaning schedule was perfect. Requests for extra towels and blanket were gladly accommodated. Kitchen facilities were good, with everything you needed. There is an extra bunk above one bed compared to the photos. Hanging rod for clothes and large shelves in the bedroom gave a great place to keep all our things out of the way; hangers were also provided. Fan in the kitchen was very useful for drying wet items. Soap and shampoo being provided was very helpful. Location was walkable to the top of the main strip, and near convenience store (super joseth), souvenir shop and decent cheap soda options (soda is a cheap local eatery!) and ice cream place. Great value for a clean unit and a hostess I'd highly recommend.
Very minor concerns at most include:
-No couch or living room per se, so we hung out in the bedroom mostly, but it made it difficult to hang out with friends or family in the unit. We mostly went to their place.
-Shower was open, so water often escaped onto floor (more of an issue with an energetic kid!)
-Additional storage in bathroom would have been useful as the counter top was quite small. At the time of our visit, there was no shelving over the toilet or attached to the walls. Some hooks on the bathroom door would have also been helpful.
-Air conditioning was limited to the bedroom - probably not a concern if you liked the heat like my hubby, but my kid and I stayed in the bedroom, rather than at the kitchen table, which we only went to if we were eating.
-Hooks on the back of the bedroom door and in the kitchen area would be helpful as we had to drape towels and bathing suits over the chairs in front of the fan to dry in time for next outing.
-There was a screen was over the bathroom window, but none on any other windows - we had to close them to control mosquitoes but would have preferred to have more airflow.

The host was super-helpful and friendly, and the apartment was even nicer than it looked in the photos. It was handy for the supermarket and bus to the beach.
There is nothing to fault with this apartment and we would definitely return.

Madelyn was an excellent, attentive, and friendly host. She was very helpful with everything in Manuel Antonio. The apartment was spacious and really clean with a balcony. It was close to the big supermarket, Super Joseth, the bus stop for the beach, and casual restaurants. Staff cleaned the apartment every other day! Highly recommend this apartment.
There is no hot water in the bathroom and kitchen sinks. An inconvenience in some of the apartments in Costa Rica. Also, although not their fault, there is a rusted, burned out car on the street by them that detracts from a good neighborhood feel.

The apartment was quite larg and nicely laid out and it wasn't located too far from a supermarket, restaurants and the beach, by car. Our host Madelyn was superb. She was was quick in responding to our messages. We stayed there 4 nights and although it wasn't necessary, our bedsheets and towels were changed every two days. The AC, fridge and stove work really good. The stove was a bit tricky to get started at the beginning, since we weren't familiar with conviction stoves. There's parking on the street and on the property but it tight to park on the property. We really enjoyed our stay at Aguti Apartments and will certainly stay there again.
There wasn't much choices in kitchen cooking utensils. Just the bare minimum. It would have been nice to have a grater for cheese but I managed with a knife and a couple of things not worth complaining about.

For the price this is a fantastic place to stay. The public bus is nearby which takes you either to the beach or to nearby town Quepos, so there's really no need to pay more for a place nearer the ocean.

Very nice, clean, private with secure parking. Close proximity to Manuel Antonio and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Hostess was lovely, helpful and accommodating.
I have no real complaints. Everything was good. I did need to switch dates and they would not allow that. Had to pay for all days. But considering the price of the apartment, I can't really be too upset.

The apartment is big and comfortable, and could be a good options if you're staying in Manuel Antonio for a few days (I only stayed ther one night). It's also very quiet.

Nice place and decent location.
There were bedbugs and fleas all over the apartment. unfortunately some bugs even came home with me, now I have to spray my home. I messaged host about the bugs and she never replied. If there were no bugs it would have been a great stay

Breakfast was not included, but the kitchen was very well equipped, so we were able to make out own great breakfast each morning. We had a 3 burner cooktop, toaster, blender, coffee maker, and microwave, so cooking was easy. There is a small grocery store nearby that had what we needed, which was great. Madelyn was quick to respond to our inquiries and needs, and her mom, Maria was a gem. Maria spoke little English, but understood enough that we were all able to communicate enough to get by. Great hosts, and cute little apartment that served our needs well.
There was no signage at all on the property, to indicate the address or the name of the accommodation. It made it difficult to locate, so I would strongly suggest some kind of sign that says Madelyn Apartment should be posted, so that guests don't get frustrated, as we did. The only other problem was not having a proper stopper in the kitchen sink ... we had to run the water while we washed the dishes, which goes against our water conservation practices.
