Wonderful stay

Great apartment near the ocean with lots of space, kitchen and bathroom are fully equipt. Across the street is a beutiful garden so the view is nice. It's on a busy street but you don't hear the noise at night becouse of good isolation.

Great locations!for the lack of AC and the lizards it would’ve been great

The location was good. Apt was a good size and well equipped with all the necessities. We had a welcome bottle and cake.

Air conditioning only worked in living area and when AC was on the kitchen area was like a hot oven! I sent a msg to the host about the AC and she told me when the AC is on to leave the kitchen window open! Bedroom had a fan. We had little creatures(small lizards) in the apt almost daily. Had to place a rug behind the door but they still came in!!

This apartment will exceed your expectations!

I really liked this apartment. This is a perfect place to stay during vacations on Madeira. The location near airport is strategic. You are in walking distance from the airport on arrival/departure. Also important that it is easy not steepy linked to the main island highway via central street of Santa Cruz. The apartment is a very good condo in a modern building with elevator and you have a place in the underground parking. I usually used the free municipal parking behind the house. The home is very well equipped and it has all you need. WiFi was very speedy. I highly recommended this apartment for some my friends which would like to make a trip to Madeira in the near future.

No complaints, everything was almost perfect.

Exceptional

The perfect place to stay on Madeira. Apartment Estefania are very well located. It is literally 5 mins away from Madeira airport by car and 15 mins from the capital city Funchal. Apartment is very comfy and stylish. You can find anything you need for a comfort stay. Kitchen is very-well equipped with everything for cooking, including such things as salt and oil which is not often can be found in the rented apartment. A trifle - but nice :) There was no dampness in the bathroom. We were provided with all kinds of towels including beach ones. Host was very nice and suggested many interesting places to visit on the island. We're definitely going to come back again!

Very poor

The host has listed a fake address on booking.com. I had booked this stay several weeks before my arrival and had booked a taxi to drop me off at the address that I had clearly booked through this site. The host sent an email with a brand new address less than 24h before my arrival, close to midnight when I had a whole day of flying the next day to reach the island. Nowhere in this email does she state that I should take notice of the new address and nowhere in her previous communication did she mention that the address indicated on this site is incorrect. I landed on the island, found my taxi, and ended up discovering that the address indicated on booking.com is not existing. I had to pay double for the taxi who had to drive around and look for the apartment, and I had to reach out to the host several times to ask where the new address was which is not stated anywhere on booking.com. I ended up not staying at the apartment for my full stay because I didn't feel safe staying at an address that's not registered through booking.com and I suggest everyone be careful with hosts who advertise fake addresses.

Give Funchal a miss. Top line appartment less than a kilometre from the airport.

Value for money was outstanding. Fantastic for car renters. Protected, undercover car parking on site. Lots of appliances.

Multitude of light switches took a couple of days to get used to but not a deal breaker in any way.

Lovely, homely stay, close to the sea

The apartment was very comfortable, had everything we needed and close to the centre.

Not able to sit outside. Rooftop had no seating or umbrellas.

Comfortable well fitted-out apartment in an overall extremely good location for a Santa Cruz stay

This is our second stay. We have worked out how to make the most of the fans and air-conditioning, to keep the apartment cool and quieter during the day when traffic flow is highest. We now know that the apartment is suitable for long stays but you have to get used to the outside noises of traffic and locals chatting.

Very nicely put together comfortable apartment with all the necessary mod-cons for modern living

We like the seaview and neighbourhood, the quality of the furnishings, the kitchen utensils, the linen and quality of appliances and the items that make it feel like home. We like the access to good local supermarkets, restaurants and shops and to public transportation close by. We can happily use the fans to keep the apartment cool and use the air conditioning only to cool things down for a few minutes at bed-time. Plenty of storage space.

Can't really blame the host for the fact that the apartment is on a busy access road but it is what it is. Thankfully, the double-glazing works well but we like to keep the living-room window open which adds a bit to the noise. Neighbours in the block can be a bit noisy too but really only occasionally and we are close to the main block entrance.

Great host, great apartment, excellent value for money

Olga, the host, is lovely; extremely helpful, kind and friendly. The apartment is spacious, very clean, a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed. A new-looking washing machine and industrial-size dryer, plus detergent. Allocated parking space in the basement. A very central location, a few minutes walk from the restaurants and beachfront.

Pleasant

Nice clean property with good WiFi but I checked out early and found something else

- Fronted by a busy road - The “modern well equipped kitchen” did not have an oven. I booked self catering while travelling in a pandemic, to avoid hotel/restaurant crowds - In warm weather, the property was unbearably hot at night, even with two fans. The open doors/windows brought noise from the main road and lots of mosquitoes. I got bitten a lot
