Comfy, compact, convenient

Very friendly and helpful staff. Located in an area where you can reach central neighbourhoods and also 10 min walk from the Kiyomizu-dera temple. Comfortable beds and compact, convenient room.

It was nice. Hotel is a practical choice

The location was ok and very close to main tourist area

No breakfast and at night not close to any bars or restaurants

Super friendly staff, great location near Kyoto highlights

Staff is super friendly. This was the only hotel we’ve stayed in in Japan where it was possible to check in before check-in time (convenient!). We received new years cookies as a welcome present. There’s free coffee + tea and the location is great.

The beds are a bit hard, but you can sens out a request and they provide you with a softer topper which makes it a lot better.

Great for all things

Location is good, only 10 minutes to reach Kiyomizu-dera but no convenience store nearby, staff is so nice. At your stay, hotel provides toothbrush set, DHC face cleansing and lotion,…and others thing but no shower cap.

Lovely

It is really good place to stay in Kyoto. Very good location. Nice lobby, friendly personal. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a parking place before hotel. It’s very comfortable if you are planning to rent car.

The bed is a little bit hard, but you can ask for extra mattress and pillows. Unfortunately there is no restaurant for breakfast. But they have coffee machine. Coffee, tea, milk and water are available 24 hours.

Séjour très agréable, chambre propre et confortable, très bien situé près du temple KiyoMizu-Dera.

Très bien situé, chambre confortable et propre, un excellent rapport qualité-prix.

Le personnel est très sympa mais parle à peine anglais, difficile de communiquer au-delà des échanges basiques.

Little bit outdated hotel for a good price and nice personel.

Very nice personal, good location and good washing facilities.

The room smelled quite bad everytime we entered. They had an air suction system installed but that made a lot of noise (plus turned off if you left the room ). Also, the air suction+ fridge + cooling system made a lot of noise.

The location was great. It was right near Kiyomizudera and many shopping streets. The staff were kind and helpful. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable.

Every single store and restaurant near by closes at 6:00pm and does not open until around 11:00am. We had to walk around 30 minutes into Gion to find food.

very helpful & friendly staff. especially the spectacle gentleman. i should have asked for his name. nice rooftop view. convenient location. not far from Kyoto station, 5-10 mins by bus. very near to Kiyomizu-dera, only 5 mins walk

The view on the rooftop was great, the staff were really helpful and they spoke very great english, the room was clean and comfortable.

For my son the room was a little bit small but it wasn't as small as the last hotel we stayed in

Best place to stay in Kyoto

Very clean rooms, lots of amenities, great location, and a wonderful kind staff that went out of their way to help me. They even let me check in a bit early since the room was already available:) The terrace was absolutely stunning too!

Amazing place for superb price

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was great as it's a short bus away from central Kyoto but close to temples and nice walks through old Kyoto.

There were no wardrobes/enough space to store all clothes which would have been nice but just may not be a thing in Japan I've noticed.

Cosy hotel in strategic location

Clean hotel close to attractions of the town and well connected to take train and metro, services are all around with less than 300 Mt. Staff friendly and flexible ( we added an extra night and they Waited for us for check in at evening time

Very accommodating staff. They were flexible changing our a twin room to double twin room with short notice with getting changed difference. They even offered us a couple of umbrellas to take them with us after checking out. So kind.

Great facility with a good location. You can spend a lot of time in the area and come back quickly to rest at the hotel. Staff is very nice and helpful with everything.

Excellent value: very close to Kiyomizu-dera, close to a station, and walking distance from many interesting locations. The room was particularly big and nice - this was the best value hotel of my three weeks in Japan!

The path to the hotel can get quite busy, as it is on the way to Kiyomizu-dera.

The gentleman who greeted us at the desk was exceptionally polite and friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, close to Kiyomizu temple, and the room was quite comfortable. Rooftop terrace had lovely views. Couldn't recommend a better place to stay in Kyoto.

There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel.
