100' of west facing frontage on Pigeon Lake with sand/gravel bottom with river rocks along the shore. Dock (40’+) with ladder approx 4' deep at end. This is an ideal swimming location; however one might want to wear water shoes. Pigeon Lake is connected to Buckhorn Lake, Chemong Lake, Big Bald and Little Bald Lake without passing through the lock system. There are other public beaches in the area, including the land-locked Sandy Lake, also known as "Lake of Spirits", due to the Caribbean colour of the water. The property has a rowboat for use. However, there is another marina steps from this location for launching and fuel. It is a fishermans paradise with ample opportunity to catch large and small bass, walleye, muskie, yellow perch, bullhead, sucker, carp and Northern pike.

My wife and I spent 4 weeks here in an effort to escape the North Carolina summer heat. The setting and location were perfect. The windows along the living room and sunroom provided uninterrupted views of the lake. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the dock almost every night. The boat rail system worked great. It kept our boat from getting beat up on the dock when the lake was rough. The lake bottom around the dock is rocky and great for swimming. Bass fishing on the two lakes is very good. I even caught a couple nice small mouth off the dock in the mornings. Chris was very accommodating and very responsive. Whenever we reached out to him, he responded very quickly. He lent us bikes, water skis and lake maps to use during our stay. There are small towns with restaurants within 15 minutes. Peterborough is only about a half hour away. The neighborhood streets are great for walking and biking. We would definitely stay here again.

Used the rental as the base for our annual Musky Fishing trip. Worked out well. Like staying in your own home if it was on a lake and faced beautiful Sunsets every day.

The home is dated, a bit worn but the issues that caused 4 of 6 of us to not to be able to sleep in the cottage were the overwhelming musty smell in the bedrooms that we could not air out enough for them to sleep, and finding spiders in those bedrooms. One of the bedrooms with a queen bed is part of the garage floor and bare concrete. The house was so humid the carpet and anything cloth stayed damp and musty the entire time. The remaining 2 stayed 4 nights and then got a hotel room the 5th night. The described "modern, executive vacation home" are not how I'd describe it. The lake is beautiful, quiet neighborhood but the house was very disappointing for all of us.

My family and I really enjoyed our time at this lovely cottage. It had all the amenities we needed, and is located within a quiet community. Our host, Chris, was very communicative and accommodating during our stay, which was very much appreciated. Highlights included beautiful sunsets, refreshing swims, and a great place to bring kayaks. A good time was had by all!

Children had a lot of fun jumping from deck and swimming in clear water. We had enjoyed amazing views of sunset every evening. Beds are comfortable, kitchen has all you may need for cooking, nice sectional sofas to enjoy movie nights. Thank you Chris for hosting us!
