There was nothing to dislike.

The person checking me in at the front desk was talkative and friendly.

I had a room with a huge dirty stain on the carpet by the refrigerator. I also had a connecting room with the room next door. The door connecting the room on my side did not lock or stay closed. So I did not sleep well thinking someone may come in. The next morning I went downstairs to purchase tooth paste and a toothbrush, realizing I had forgotten mine. No one was manning the front desk, and you were out of toothpaste.

Didn’t like that the restaurant was only open until 9:30 in the morning then after that it was nothing. I was misinformed by the person who said they were speaking to me from the property, which I do not believe that was true now, Because she said that the restaurant bar was open from 9 AM until 11 PM only to find out when my husband and I got there that it was only open from 6 AM to 9:30 AM in the morning only, very very disappointing. TV was broken and took till the next day to get it fixed, handy man Maintenance manwas very nice, pool area was not being used by any visitors and I thought that was a little strange but then I put my feet into the pool water, it was ice cold,wish the pool was heated Would’ve made it more enjoyable. No microwave in the room was a disappointment too, because if you were hungry later at night you had to go down stairs and choose junk food from the refrigerator by the front desk, not free either, My husband and I chose this place basically for the information we were given over the phone that the restaurant/bar was open till 11 pm They say that the breakfast is included well breakfast cost us close to $30. But COFFEE was the only thing free. Don’t think breakfast was included that to me is false advertising. staff was nice

Really everything was great! The shower floor was a little slippery if I had to find something to comment about.

coffee shop/bar closed. pool gate was broken or in disrepair during stays two weeks apart. made the place seem dilapidated not of Marriott standards you expect.

Was told they had a generator that's why we went there but it didn't work so I left next day. Not happy at all

Corporate wasn't prepared for a hurricane. The building leaked everywhere. I was in the 3rd floor and the carpet squished when I walked. Water coming in from everywhere. Stairwell had water running from at least the 3rd floor down to the first. The lobby had water blowing in from places water shouldn't have been able to get through. The hallway on 1st floor and the fitness room also had water encroaching in places there shouldn't be water. Clearly the building was poorly constructed. I don't blame the hourly staff. I blame Corporate for not having this building inspected better. Also, management did not seem to have an emergency plan in place. The windows on the first floor were not boarded up. People were gathered in the lobby and restaurant area since rooms were warm after power went out and no ac in rooms. I appreciate that power loss was inevitable due to the monstrous hurricane that hit the area. What is not excusable is the lack of preparation by the hotel management who then left the staff to endure the complaints by their guests, who were rude and inconsiderate to them. That's a different topic altogether. Trying to stop a hurricane with hotel towels and creating a dangerous environment with the vast amount of water coming into the building needs to be addressed. Management dropped the ball in a dangerous way and the Marriott corporation dropped the ball with a terribly constructed building that put their guests in danger. If the generator had failed, guests would have been in danger of not being able to get to the first floor in the event of the tornadoes that Ian was spawning. Others might have been trapped in the elevators for hours while waiting for the fire department to be able to get to them. Unbelievable the life threatening situation we guests were put in. I appreciate everything the hotel staff tried to do. They deserve a huge raise and two weeks paid vacation.
