Lovely Hotel for one night stopovers, lovely friendly staff anf great food and drink on offer.

Great location, great breakfast, had evening meal which was superb with excellent service, parking is tricky, but ok if you get a space nearby!

Wanted breakfast earlier as heading off to early start cycle event, but not an option.

Great little gem, close to town centre and fantastically clean

Very cosy room, great breakfast, fantastic location and brilliant staff who were all really friendly. The pub is a nice place for a relaxing beer too. Definitely a place to stay again.

The accommodation was situated very close to amenities. The accommodation was really nice and all of the staff were very helpful and extremely pleasant. The food was excellent and extremely good value

I'd stay there again quite happily

Really clean. Plumbing that works well. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable bed. Surprisingly quiet location for middle of town. I was attending a funeral and the location is perfectly placed for a short walk from the station and 20 minute walk to the crematorium.

Nothing of any importance. A non slip mat for the shower would be a good idea

I loved The Railway, it’s a busy little pub where obviously a lot of the locals go which is always a good sign.

The room was clean and had everything I needed Great location The staff were friendly and helpful Good food and drink Fantastic breakfast cooked to order very fast

Enjoyed very much , will go again to this hotel .

Central location , easy access. Friendly staff, clean , warm and good base.

Seemed to be a loo roll rationing lol . Soon remeded on asking. Breakfast one morning was dry and overcooked- other guests seem to have thus opinion to , and everyone was asking for breakfast without certain things -maybe kept warm ? Chef change on Monday and much improved

Lovely, very comfortable bed, breakfast was excellent and the bar had a really friendly atmosphere

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, rooms were super comfortable and nicely presented, very well designed for space given the unusual shape of the property

Stairs very steep, but double handrails very helpful

Convivial atmosphere in the heart of Skipton with friendly host and locals.

Homely, great traditional bar with good value menu.

Clean and friendly Hotel.

Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice…. Staff very friendly

The room was quite small, the bathroom had no shelves at all… The location wasn’t as near to the centre as we’d expected… We expected there to be a Hotel car park too… but there wasn’t, but luckily, as after 20 minutes of driving around we found one down a side street.

The Railway delivered in terms of comfort and value, staff are really friendly and helpful.

Central location, great bar, very good breakfast with very friendly and helpful staff.

Parking was around the corner, 100m away, but that wasn’t an issue for me.

Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Nice food in the pub.

Noise from the street even with the window closed. Quite warm in the room. Cooked porridge would be a nice addition to the breakfast menu.

A great stay in the heart of Skipton.

Staff were very helpful. Lovely breakfast. Very thoughtful staff. They had put fans in each room as weather exceptionally hot.

Only one thing I didn’t like mattress was too soft and therefore had dipped a little.

Definitely Coming Back

Staff were very friendly, polite, professional & catered well for our needs. Got a telephone call on the morning of our stay to check our requirements, which was a nice touch. Great breakfast, fresh coffee (not steed). Excellent choice of food at reasonable prices. Comfortable bed/room. Convenient for town. Quiet street. Close to car park if on-street not available.

Second visit. High standards kept!

Clean room, friendly staff, and a very handy location to the town. It was my second stay here and it certainly didn't disappoint. It's a vibrant and friendly pub at tea-time and into the early evening without being too noisy. The food is hearty and the cooked breakfast in the morning sets you up for a lovely trek around the glorious and picturesque Yorkshire dales.

I really can say there is nothing not to like.

Another cosy friendly stay at the Railway

The pub is very well situated, and the twin room has a lovely aspect with two big windows in it. Check-in was very easy and breakfast was excellent, the chef was very chatty and accommodating. The bar downstairs is very cosy and the restaurant serves excellent food.

The only thing we would change is that the breakfast room was silent, making private conversations a little tricky. A radio with say Radio 2 playing in the background would have been a lovely touch.

I’m not a morning person and breakfast was only 7-9am which is early if you’re not on a work trip. I didn’t mind in the end though cos it was an excellent breakfast and the staff are lovely

Very friendly staff. Lovely fresh flowers on the tables. Excellent breakfast

No Internet in rooms . only the bar. Parking was hard to find a space. But later got one about 6.30pm. So paid on the nearby carpark.
