A Rough experience that is safe, clean, authentic and slightly uncomfortable but an adventure.

The owner Timo is charismatic and did put us in a family room that offered a centralised kitchen this was thoughtful. The rate per person sharing is competitive yet conversely he did not do badly from a family of 6 of us for 4 nights. Sheets and rooms were clean and everything other than wifi worked.

It's in a closed compound. The entire surroundings are brick and concrete. Extremely difficult to enter and exit the compound by vehicle. The facility appears to get block-booked and families upwards of 15 arrive and make big noise and many are smokers and leave cigarette butts everywhere. The facility advertises wifi but it never works which was frustrating. I was a little disappointed as we left 2 days early as we did not enjoy luderitz yet Timo did not offer the slightest discount or credit claiming booking.com was to blame so i paid the full 4 nights yet there were new visitors constantly queieing to see if there was accomodation available so he would not have lost out in any way. Smacked of squeezing maximium profit. A small gesture would have gone a long way. Rooms alsi were not cleaned and beds made daily etc as staff apologised for being over busy and overworked.

Mediocre establishment

First impression not good with parking outside whilst checking in. Property advertises that payment can be made by credit card but no facility exists and cash payment required. Room provided did not meet type booked.

Very comfortable

The accommodation was fine. We had to stay an extra two days (three days in all) as we had to wait for spares for our car.

There was no place on site to eat, would be great to have a small kitchen on site.

Had a lovely stay and enjoyed the place and frienly staff and owner.

The place was VERY clean and well kept. Security 24/7. Friendly staff, very helpfull. Friendly owner that makes time to greet guests.

The lacation of the guesthouse, limited parking space. If the wind picks-up from the fish factory side the smell is really bad.

We strongly recommend Timo's Lodge - vibrant, comfortable, clean, super host

Timo is an incredibly welcoming host and he went out of his way to make sure that the accommodation for our party of 8 consisted of rooms next to each other so that we could chat and drink coffee on the conveniently placed benches in the courtyard. The staff is also very friendly and were prompt in responding to calls for the gate or any other requests. Timo and staff are very approachable. The courtyard of the guesthouse is beautifully decorated in vibrant, tasteful colours and the rooms are spotless. We definitely recommend Timos for a very pleasant, good value-money stay - thanks Timo!

Great stay in Luderitz

The staff were very friendly. We were greeted by the owner, Timo, and he made us feel right at home. The rooms were very clean. I had one of the best showers I've ever had at an accommodation!

Timo and Elizabeth have done a great job building this GuestHouse from a very small start. It is safe, comfortable, and very clean. the staff was amazingly friendly and would go out of their way to help out if asked.

I am sure that Timo and Elizabeth have fixed this situation Ibelow), and that is the ONLY negative thing encountered. I strongly recommend Timo's as being a good value, and they deserve credit (and customers!) for the work they have put into building a new Guest Lodge from scratch through hard work and friendly customer service. The neighborhood isn't as comfortable feeling as some more expensive downtown locations, but is safe when walking to and from town, a short distance away. I look forward to the time they can add a small bar/restaurant and offer food and late-night socializing on-site for their guests. There was a temporary (and unusual) problem on the second night when people staying in a nearby room were up at 04:00-05:00 partying, drinking, and being very loud and obnoxious outside of their room. The security guard had been instructed to call Timo in these situations, but did not. Even though he could have been there in less than 5 minutes, he didn't know about the problem.

I love the fact that the facility is very clean, well maintained, bathrooms are clean, The entire place is just the best. Timo's lodge will always be my number one place every time i come visit Luderitz. Keep up the good work Tate Timo

i loved everything.. the location was a bit off setting, but once you are inside, its the best place to be, we felt very safe. Paying cash was a bit difficult for us, because we don't prefer to travel with paper money, but at least the atm's are close by

Great value for money accommodation

The family apartment is basically a small 2 bedroomed house with all the facilities needed for a stay of several days...Clean, well equipped, friendly staff and cute kitten made for a great stay.

Parking entrance a bit tight for a 4x4...Payment in cash required so needed to go and draw large sum of money.
